Family-friendly vacation rentals in Colleton County

Have stayed at this resort multiple times and am so thankful for the opportunity to have stayed again. RJ made sure that everything was coordinated for us prior to check in and was always responsive when needed.

Place was nice and comfortable. Ac not noisy. Need to get rid of the temperature light on the units. Otherwise really nice.

The condo had a spectacular view! We would for sure return to this spot. Rob and Julia, were very helpful on any questions I had and quick to respond, great hosts.

This place is, quite simply put, fantastic. My family lives for a good vacation, which has been hard to come by in the pandemic era. I found this spot by sheer luck. I had never been to SC before and wasn’t sure what to expect. Let’s just say my expectations were blown out of the water. The area is gorgeous. Spanish moss covers the beautiful trees everywhere, which looks like an other-worldly dream. The community is quiet and beautifully maintained by the landscaping crew. I ran the Island Circle just about everyday during our stay with my dad and dog. Everyone we came across were cordial and welcoming. The views of the water and landscape are outstanding from the marina, clubhouse, and even the backyard. The community offers so many activities — we especially enjoyed the pool and kayaking the gorgeous creek (which might as well be a river at high tide). Speaking of the creek, watching the transformation between high and low tide is so interesting and aesthetically pleasing. There is so much wildlife to look out for (make sure you bring your binoculars). We especially liked watching the blue heron who came to perch on a tree in the backyard everyday. The villa was, dare I say, the best stocked place we’ve ever stayed. They had just about everything you need both from a home and activity perspective. Spices, tools/equipment, dishes of every size, lawn chairs, a printer, etc. — you name it, they probably have it :) The living space was so comfortable and clean. Perfect for meals and relaxing with the family. All the beds were comfortable, including the little trundle bed. I’m about 6’1 and was able to sleep comfortably in the twin bed in the slanted roof bedroom for the most part. You do have to mind your head in the slanted roof room, but we were only in there to sleep so it wasn’t that big of a deal (as some folks in the reviews make it out to be). The host was extremely helpful and responsive. We had an issue with the dish washer, but the host called someone right away and it was fixed within hours of us contacting the host. Any questions we had were answered quickly. We could tell the hosts put in a lot of work to make everything easy to find - a lot of things/compartments are even labeled for your convenience. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this place for a family vacation. We will definitely come back if we can!

Shellie’s place was so relaxing and peaceful. The best part is the deck, which has a lovely view of the live oaks and golf course, not other buildings. We enjoyed sitting out there in the mornings and evenings. Another great asset of this place is its privacy. It is located at the end of the lot, and we never saw or heard noise from any of the other residents. The loft is also a great feature; my teen daughter enjoyed having her own private room up there. Amenities such as the pool and mini-golf were within a very short walking distance, which was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Super awesome location, big house with many extras that pictures don't capture the beauty. House super clean with all the amenities needed. Communication and access was easy.

So much charm! The photos don’t do it justice. Tucked away on a quiet, classic street walkable to downtown. We had a very cozy stay and our dog enjoyed the yard and sun tanning on the deck. Our host even called on Easter Day to wish us a Happy Easter - so sweet!

I had a wonderful stay in Sharon's home. It is comfy and cozy, 10-minute drive away from the Hunting Island State Park Beach. I enjoyed my stay there very much, and would return in the future. Highly recommend her place! Very affordable too.

I can’t say enough about our wonderful experience at the Pinckney Homeplace. From the cleanliness to the amazing views from the house and dock, to the books on the shelves(even an Agatha Christie I hadn’t read,)to the history on the walls, we just thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Well stocked kitchen and library, games and puzzles and music, and provided linens! Thank you so much, Allison and family, for being wonderful hosts! Looking forward to dpending more time here soon!

A great stay in a lovely bungalow. Clean and comfortable. A perfect place to stay with a pet!

This was the perfect place for our family to celebrate my grandson's graduation from Marine boot camp at Parris Island. The back porch was a great place for the adults to hang out and the front yard was great for the kids to play ball and run around. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pans and dishes to cook our big meals with. The place was clean and free of clutter, allowing the games to be played and meals to be cooked. Had a great time and would definitely come back again! Thank you for allowing us to visit your lovely home!

We had a great stay here and appreciate the responsiveness of the host to support us at check in. If you are seeking a peaceful retreat, with incredible ocean views, this place is hard to beat. We appreciated the easy access to the grocery store and loved that nothing is commercial on Edisto island, it is all small shops and local business. The beach walks and shell finding were a delight for all. Comfortable beds and amenities and the best stocked kitchen we’ve experienced, making home cooked meals a joy, especially the fresh local seafood. Thanks for the memories.

Great place! I went there to do a construction project for a nearby island and I thought I was on vacation! Dianna was awesome with keeping me informed and everything advertised was a bit more than expected.

great location and stay. The building was in between two pools and two boardwalks to the beach. The beach was easy to get back and forth to the condo with having two small children. Would come back for sure

Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful villa by the marsh. Watching the tides come in and out, and seeing the oyster beds was fascinating! Thank you for sharing a slice of paradise with us!

We lived our stay here. The private beach within walking distance and the pool close as well. Having a washer and dryer was great as well.

Booked the night before and Callie was flexible and accommodating. Beautiful house right next to the beach. We spent a day exploring what Harbor Island Beach had to offer. Very cool place. Great safe community. House was comfy and clean for our family of 5 with three littles. No complaints!

This place was right on the water with a nice walk Uber to the beach. The pool was nice and right next door.

We stayed in Nadine’s condo for a short period of time to attend our family reunion on the island! We loved the beach access, big back deck, and the condo’s pool close by. We didn’t stay much in the condo except for eating lunch and sleeping, but it was perfect for the two of us. The bed is a little too soft for me, but it was OK for the short stay. We really appreciated the black out curtains in the bedroom because that morning sun is bright! Thanks again, Nadine for a great stay and providing little “goodie bags” with essentials! We will definitely stay again!
