Vacation rentals with a patio in Cathays

Jolanta and I only had contact through the news. She is a likeable landlady and available at any time. Access to the apartment is via a key box - very easy to set 4 digits with number wheels. The apartment is very bright and friendly. It is very quiet at night (residential area). If you like to sleep in the dark, you have to take a sleeping mask or something similar for one of the bedrooms, as the street lamp is very bright. It didn't bother me. The other bedroom is inside. If you are a good walker, you can reach the city in 20 minutes and the Penarth Pier in a good 30 minutes. Penarth Pier is beautifully located on the Bristol Canal. You can also eat well there. Cardiff can also be reached by car in a quarter of an hour. Cardiff Bay (harbor) offers many pubs and restaurants. You can also go for a walk there. If I ever go back to the area, I will definitely stay in Jolanta's apartment again.

Great place to stay for a weekend away in Cardiff. Short walk to Mermaid Quay. Really peaceful location. Spacious and very clean, comfy beds. Bonus of a secure parking space. Host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Would 100% recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alison's - thank you for having us! The spacious apartment has obviously been recently furnished, and it was extremely clean. There was everything we needed, with a very comfortable bed with high quality bed linen. Thank you for the generous welcome basket, which was ideal for our breakfasts, and we enjoyed the biscuits too! All in all we thought it was excellent, and a great location for visiting St Fagans and our Cardiff cousins. Thank you very much to Alison and Luigi, and we hope to stay with you again.

Byron and Kate’s place was amazing, such a beautiful space in a great location and so quiet and peaceful. On top of that Byron and Kate may well be the best hosts we’ve ever met. Couldn’t do enough for us, super helpful and had thought of absolutely everything. Couldn’t fault a thing about the property, these experiences are why we use Airbnb instead of hotels. Will definitely be trying to book here again if we are back in Cardiff. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thanks so much

Was such a lovely stay, probably the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in in Cardiff so far. Cathays station is a 15 second walk away which we got into town, so very handy. Everything was clean and lovely and great facilities :) Would definitely stay again ❤️

We had a great stay at this apartment! The host was extremely accommodating and responsive, making the whole experience smooth from start to finish. The apartment itself was spotless clean, very functional, and surprisingly bright for a basement unit. We especially appreciated the spacious layout, the small backyard, and how well-lit it was throughout. The bed was super comfortable, and I loved the touch-sensitive table lamps—such a nice detail! The Wi-Fi worked perfectly during our entire stay, and we found the welcome pack really helpful, especially the manual for the heater, which came in handy during the night. The apartment is located in a peaceful neighborhood with beautiful houses and tree-lined streets. It’s about a 30-minute walk from the central rail station, which we didn’t mind at all. All in all, a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

Danielle's place was very clean and welcoming. Cute welcome package for a personal touch. Only a 12 minute uber ride to central Cardiff. Danielle was very responsive and helpful all the way through. Highly recommend :)

A beautifully appointed annexe to Emma's home in a lovely area of Cardiff. Loved the decor and welcome touches such as cereals, milk etc. There is small train station a few minutes walk away making it really easy to get into the centre. We will definitely stay again.

Couldn't of asked for a better place to stay the might before my wedding. Both lodges were beautiful and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Location is beautiful and Ginetta is a WONDERFUL host. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a perfect stay. Don't think twice about staying here, you won't be dissapointed xxxx

Firstly Dania was a terrific host. So helpful. She went over and above for helpfulness. Although the house was listed as Broadway it is actually in Fox Street... a side road off the main drag. The area of Broadway is not the best but is so close to Cardiff City Centre, either walking or by bus. The parking is good outside property but we left our car in place our whole trip to keep our space. The property was super clean and very comfortable. A snippet we picked up is there is a water taxi from the park by the castle to Cardiff Bay. Well worth it. Also going by bus is £5 each for a day roamer ticket. We had a lovely time at this property because of the convenience it provides in everything.

We had a fantastic week in Cardiff, staying at Michael’s place in Penarth. The house was perfect for our group of six - clean, spacious, stylish, and equipped with everything we needed. It really felt like a home away from home. Penarth is a lovely area with great cafes, restaurants, and a beautiful coastal walk. We especially loved the walk over the Cardiff Bay Barrage Locks. The kitchen was well equipped and with a large wine fridge, which is a godsend with such a large group. Michael, Nadia and Kate were brilliant hosts, quick to respond and full of great local recommendations. We’d absolutely stay again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The place was easy to find as the instructions were clear and check in was easy. It was definitely a home away from home , there was everything you could ever need - crockery, cutlery, pots pans, toilet roll, washing up products, clean towels etc . The central heating was so good it made the house warm and cosy within seconds (the weather was a cold and wet when we visited). Everything was spotless and fresh. The view from the kitchen balcony was absolutely beautiful. We had a great time staying here and would love to return sometime in the future. Thank you so much Larisa!

Fantastic property located within walking distance to Cardiff city centre. Andrew was a great host with some nice little touches. Will definitely stay here again when back in Cardiff.

Well kept property. Friendly neighbours. The wood fire was ready set up for use with supplies. Instruction manual on hand. Some basics provided which was a lively touch.

Absolutely loved this air BnB Gill was extremely helpful and the cottage was brilliant Loads of room Very comfortable with stunning views Enjoyed my visits from Bella the cat too and the horses over the gate I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again highly recommended

The communication from booking to leaving was fantastic. The flat is spotlessly clean. A lot of thought has been put into it too make guest extremely comfortable. It was great sitting on the large veranda area in the evening as the sun went down. By far this is the best Airbnb I have stayed in. We will be booking again and again. The apartment was exactly as described and accessible from the motorway! All instructions were clear and sent through in advance so there was no queries ahead of arrival or on departure. Would highly recommend staying here to those wanting to visit Cardiff or the surrounding areas! ⭐️

It was compact as described, very new and clean. We got great sleep and appreciated being able to park our rental car in the drive.

We booked this last minute for a quick getaway and we will definitely return! Such a beautiful apartment with loads of outdoor space and the children’s bedroom was dreamy!
