Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Castricum

Lovely space to stay in. Clean and comfortable and picturesque location.

We stayed a few nights with our 2 small kids, mainly to visit Amsterdam, and had a wonderful time. The house was great for us, very clean, enough space for everyone, very nice neighbourhood and restaurants and shops were close by bike or walking. We took the car to the nearest train station (Bussum Zuid) with free parking but without kids and less rain, walking would also have been easily possible. Jaap was very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome. We would happily come again!

The dream of a vacation rental. Perfectly located on the dune reserve, this house impresses with aesthetic furnishings, generosity and optimal amenities. We just felt super comfortable. There was nothing missing. A large garden with grill, well equipped kitchen, nice living and sauna area made the stay perfect. Christiane is a warm host and extremely friendly. Communication with her was easy and fast. We especially liked the high quality bedding and the comfortable beds. I would book the house again and again when in the area. Great recommendation!

We came for the 2nd time and were again very happy with everything.

One of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in! It was spotlessly clean (not a speck of dust anywhere!), everything had been thought of (including a welcome bottle of bubbles!), it was spacious, and very convenient for public transport....oh, and stylishly decorated! Being close to the train station meant that we could easily get into central Amsterdam, as well as go on day trips to Rotterdam and Zaanse Schans during our stay. Our favourite day was renting bikes in Zaanse Schans for the day and enjoying cycling through the countryside. Very happily recommend this place to others looking for a base near Amsterdam.

Even though this lovely home was located so close by the beach, a walk of 5 minutes, it felt very private and the surroundings are quiet. The home was exceptionally clean, beds were extremely comfortable. It was tastefully decorated and felt like a cozy home. We enjoyed walking to and on the beach, had a delicious dinner in the village and in nearby villages as well. The hosts were very proactive with communication and responded quickly to questions. I am recommending this 100% to anyone interested a stay in Wijk Aan Zee and I am hoping to book this again on my next visit. We were very warmly welcomed by Maya and there was even a nice bouquet of flowers, a bottle of wine and a treat for our dog. This was a great surprise. We liked the little cottage and the garden very much, everything was as described. We had a nice time there and will definitely be happy to come back.

Frank is an excellent host, always quick to respond to messages and with lots of tips for restaurants and other things he had prepared on the kitchen table. The house was very easy to find, easy to move into thanks to the key box and super tidy and clean. We had a great kitchen, a large living room with a large couch and beautiful sunsets and upstairs bedroom and a large bathroom with a rain shower. There was a beautiful beach in the village, a super great baker and nice restaurants. But by car we were also fast (30 min) in Amsterdam - Tip: Parking in the Ijdock behind the train station - booked online 15 euros a day. The house and the host are 100% recommended, we had a great time - thanks Frank.

It’s very good and charming place to stay

We stayed at the "Wijze Uil" for two weeks and had a wonderful vacation. Jeanet's beautiful old house is lovingly renovated and tastefully and comfortably furnished. The large garden with many seats is a dream and on the terrace you can enjoy the day. An appealing home for a relaxing vacation with a dog in a beautiful setting. The small town of Schoorl with gastronomy and shopping is within walking distance. The dunes and the forest start right behind the house and invite you for walks. Jeanet is an uncomplicated and friendly host and always approachable. We felt very comfortable and will come back next year.

We loved our stay at Charlotte’s place! The apartment was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The location was perfect for our stay in Alkmaar as everything was within walking distance. Taking care of O’Malley was also a fun addition to our trip. He was very friendly but respected our space. All in all, we really enjoyed staying at Charlotte’s and would love to visit again in the future :)

I had a wonderful 7 days at Nanda’s apartment. It was very comfortable, lots of light, quiet, and easy to access the city by bike (primary for me), bus and foot. Nanda was very responsive and kind. If you are new to the Netherlands, know that the train outside of the apartment comes once an hour (it goes to a fantastic railway museum that you can walk to) and is whisper quiet, so if you wonder if it’s loud to be near train tracks, it isn’t at all as the trains are electric. The morning and evening light is plentiful and I just had a very lovely stay. The kitchen also is very functional and I did most of my meals in the apartment. Overall really great stay.

Margor and Steven are nice and attentive, they give us a lot of helpful information about the area. The location is near the Zaandam train station and convenient when travelling to Amsterdam city centre. A very nice and cosy place to stay in NL.

Amazing location. Close walk to everything. Very narrow steep stairs but that was expected. Great for a couple or single wanting a central location in Amsterdam. Good communication and they accommodated our early arrival. Washer was a nice feature for this traveling for a few weeks in Europe.

Very nice house in a wonderful location. The water property with the beautiful terrace is really special. The house is bright and spacious. We arrived as a family with 7 people, it was perfect for that. In March, it was still a little chilly to use the terrace extensively, but the fireplace in the cozy living room was worth gold. We felt very comfortable.

We were super satisfied. The location is just perfect. The hosts were always available immediately and super friendly! Always happy to come back.

The property is located 20 mins from Schiphol Airport, in a quiet gated community. The house was neat and clean and located beside a water canal. The kitchen and cutlery were well stocked. The furniture was comfortable. Plenty of towels provided. Easy to get to the city and to the other attractions. As stated in the description there is no washer / dryer. Bedrooms are located on the floor above the ground floor, the stairs are a bit steep. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very responsive, friendly and courteous. Upon request we were given a late checkout which was very helpful and very kind of the host. Indeed a superhost! Would love to come back someday!

Perfect stay! A beautiful villa, very well equipped and maintained. Beautiful design, luxury amenities, attention to details and all in all a wonderful stay. Jolanda was super responsive and very kind. Highly recommended!

After cycling round the countryside each day with friends, coming back to "Amazinghouse" was an extra treat to look forward to. Plenty of space Inside and out for everybody to chill. Kitchen & dining room very well laid out, so all involved at dinner. Great outside space and garden with good BBQ. Had a wonderful stay & Murielle went above & beyond.

My family stayed at Boon and Jan’s beautiful house for a few days last week. We were welcomed by Jan who lives next door and they both him and Boon were so quick to answer any questions and give us recommendations whenever we asked. The house was very warm and comfortable and had everything we needed and more. My children enjoyed using the paddle board and canoe. We spent 2 days whilst away visiting Amsterdam which was an easy train ride of 20 mins from nearby Abcoude. Anyone looking for a delightful and lovely place to stay whilst in the area should definitely choose this property, we will be back in the future for sure and make sure it’s for longer.
