Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Carenero Island

We had an awesome stay in Bocas! Steve was so incredibly attentive, responsive and helpful. The home was very comfortable and we enjoyed the living spaces, made dinners in, and enjoyed the beautiful wrap around deck. It is such a cool home on a unique island. We would definitely recommend it and all loved our time there!

Benson was a great host, very helpful and quick to respond to any needs. We so enjoyed the peaceful setting of our stay.

Like every other review this place is incredible. We didn’t want to leave! Our tips would be - take more cash than you think you’ll need and a little more food than you think you’ll need. 😆 we ate at the restaurant one evening which was lovely and their chef is amazing but otherwise it was easy to fend for ourselves in the incredible setting. Touring the community is amazing (take your bug spray!) and the other outings were equally as memorable. We also toured the cacao farm in Dolphin Bay which was great! We were there with our twin boys who are 7 and not a moment of boredom! The house kitty was adorable and the boys named her Tinta (Valimir said she didn’t have a name yet so was happy she got one 😆) The boys are ready to go back!

The location was great and the house it’s a lot bigger than it looks in the photos. We had more than everything we needed in the house. Sandra was very kind! :)

Alli and Sergio’s place is amazing and they are exceptional hosts! This was the best and most unique Airbnb experience ever. Alli is incredibly helpful and warm, and gave us recommendations that made our trip very special. Casa Buchu is like your own private resort in the rainforest…so beautiful and peaceful! The breakfast treats Alli and Sergio provided, including banana bread, marmalade, and butter that were all homemade, were so delicious and appreciated. Everything was perfect and we were very sad to leave their little paradise.

Jack and Vanessa were super responsive, friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The property is so beautiful! half on the beach and half in mid jungle, and really private and quiet. The house is nice, and my husband really enjoyed the little home gym:)

Tropical Suites is the perfect place to stay in Bocas! Between the pool and restaurant overlooking the gorgeous water, a swim up bar that makes delicious cocktails and smoothies, the large and comfortable bedrooms, the friendly and hospitable staff, and the ideal location in Bocas Del Toro, it is hard to beat Tropical Suites. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it to future travelers!

Lucas was helpful with instructions and travel trips pror to my arrival. He and Gloria were very friendly and welcoming my entire stay. The apartment was just as described and provided everything I needed. It was great to see, hear and experience the wildlife and Lucas sharing his knowledge of the animals. It was a wonderful a relaxing 5 days. I look forward to visiting again!

Great premium hostel with a good restaurant I would recommend

Julieta’s place is a bit higher than the rest of Old Bank village, so it’s very quiet and peaceful. She has a big garden surrounded by big trees and bamboos specifically her jackfruit trees attracted many birds which we could observe every day from our room! The trail to Wizards’ beach is right at the corner where we saw a couple of sloths! She is very friendly person who cares about us all through our stay by messages, despite she was off the island. Highly recommended!

My experience in this stay was excellent. The place is as shown in the photos: clean, comfortable and ideally located. The host was very attentive, always willing to help and provide local recommendations. I felt at home from the start. I would definitely recommend and would come and stay here again on future visits. Incredibly helpful communication. The area near the house looks a bit rough, but inside the house is a refuge. beautifully decorated with a really nice kitchen and hot water in the shower!

We had a pleasant stay at Ricardo's and his family's. La casita is located on their property in a beautiful garden. The neighborhood is quiet and yet 12 minutes by taxi or scooter from Bocas. You have the small restaurant Dosha 3 min walk which is excellent or Skully's 5 min walk which will also allow you to rent scooters, quad bikes, bikes etc… Ricardo is a great host. He was very responsive, considerate, friendly while respecting our privacy. It even allowed us to arrive well before check-in and leave well after check-out! Thanks again Ricardo;-)

Top cottage, nicely decorated and in a good location. Within walking distance are beautiful beaches + good bars. You can also easily take a taxi to the town.

Lovely place. The landscaping is extraordinary and it was so beautiful we spent several days just staying at the house. The hotel next-door was a bonus as it had a bar restaurant where we could order drinks and food and have them delivered to the beach. the beach was empty, but you could walk a mile and either direction to go to a busier beach with beach bars and restaurants. Had a bit of an issue with the pool at one point, but Utopía Caribe, the property manager, was very attentive and remedied the problem to our satisfaction. If you're going to the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, rent this house.

The place is super accessible and quiet. Adriana is incredibly friendly and helped us a lot. Great cozy place very close to the beach, super grateful!

This airbnb is exactly as the pictures. It is absolutely beautiful and very spacious. Things to note is that only the lower bedrooms have AC. The upstairs living room was very nice! The house is private, but a lot further out from town so you’ll need transportation to and from as there are not many restaurants nearby. The host, Jorge was always very responsive and helpful. Overall we had such a great stay and can’t wait to be back.

The place is beautiful, safe, and calm. Very conveniently located, super clean and cozy. It has a very nice garden, I really enjoyed having breakfast in the outdoor kitchen and appreciating it. Cinzia is an excellent host, very attentive and friendly, it was a pleasure to meet her. We felt very comfortable in your villa. We recommend it 100%. We'll definitely be back!

Outstanding location, one of the best AirBNBs I had the pleasure to stay in. Beautiful surroundings, close to one of the most beautiful playitas in Puerto Viejo. Would definitely stay here again.
