Beach house vacation rentals in Capitola

Location was great. Tight quarters but never felt confined. Walking path to boardwalk and beach. Easy access to freeways. Master bedroom did not keep the sun out so those with light sensitivity will be waking up early. A/C worked and kept the place cool. No ice maker. So be sure to grab your own ice. They had one ice tray and a bucket but the bucket was home to a used cold pack. Outside patio was a nice place to eat lunch. Garage is converted into a hodge-podge of sorts. We didn't use. Probably would have preferred just using it to park, but the driveway was sufficient and safe. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Our family stayed at Evan’s place this past weekend Saturday & Sunday . We had a few questions throughout our stay and Evan was very responsive to our messages . Our 3 daughters ( preteen , teenager and young adult ) and their friend accompanied us. The walking distance to the beach was a huge plus! We enjoyed our stay and having a jacuzzi onsite was a huge bonus! We highly recommend Evan’s place and we hope to be back when we are back in Santa Cruz !

This was the perfect house for our family. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfy. The living room on the top floor had amazing views of the ocean. Would highly recommend for a family getaway.

What a peaceful place. We had a great short visit and hope we can come again! The place is even better than the photos. We spent hours watching the birds, ocean and sun set and rise. It was great that we could bring our dog along too!

First time staying at this area and it was very peaceful. The view from our room was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. Megan was an awesome host and would definitely come and stay again.

We love staying here, we've come here multiple years in a row. It's cozy, well maintained, and perfect for a family of four. The garage and driveway for parking is so key for a neighborhood so close to the beach. Street parking is always taken. We love the proximity to the beach and provided beach chairs, boogey boards, pop up tent, and beach towels. We walked to roaring Camp Railroad beach pickup, the boardwalk, and multiple restaurants. Communication, check in, and check out are extremely easy. We plan on coming back again next year!

We had a great week at Jon's place. We were traveling with a 4 year old and a 5 month old. It is tough traveling with young kids and this house was ideal for our traveling circus. The kitchen is spacious, and we loved being able to cook meals for our picky toddler, and having in-unit washer/dryer was so handy. The location was walkable to local shops, restaurants (pretty much any type of food imaginable), coffee shops, and some of the nicest beaches in the area. We are familiar with Santa Cruz and have stayed in a few other neighborhoods and this one so far is our favorite. The house had a pack-n-play for the baby and even sand toys for our toddler (which he was thrilled about). Jon was very responsive, and when we had questions he responded right away. We would definitely stay here again for our next trip to Santa Cruz.

We have been coming to Pajaro Dunes for 37 years. Our family loves it. This house needs some attending to. In one of the downstairs showers, the soap dish on the wall was broken. You need to be VERY VERY careful. My nephew cut his thumb and needed to get stitches. I was told I could check in before the rain started, but the office hadn't unlocked the house on their end. I had to drive back to the check in office and ended up getting wet while unpacking the car. Not the end of the world, but a little irritating. It took quite awhile to figure out the space heaters, some did not work. Kitchen pots and pans need updating - bring your own!! We had a great time and lots of great memories continue for our family.

Outstanding location and great condo. Condo was just as advertised. It was clean and very comfortable. Cheshire Realty was easy to deal with.

We stayed at Crystal’s for a girls weekend and loved the modern, clean feel of the condo. The view of the ocean from the glass sliders and balcony was spectacular. And Crystal was a responsive, friendly host. Would recommend!

Our family had a great time staying here! The condo was beautiful, clean, spacious and stocked with all the supplies we needed! The bedrooms were comfortable and clean with plenty of space, the kitchen was great and we appreciated the coffee bar and pans for cooking. The living room is a fun place to chill and the condo is super close to the pool and tennis courts and the beach! Vincent was friendly and easy to communicate with and check in and check out was very easy. Hoping to stay again in the future!

Great location, great stay. Beautiful and comfortable space. Worked well for our family of 4. The third bedroom felt a little far away to have our littlest stay in alone but thankfully the second bedroom had a large bed for both kids. Wagon and chairs provided were great for the beach.

Jerome and Lisa were great hosts and very easy to communicate with. They have such a beautiful and unique home, with a killer view! Everything was clean for us and their home is very comfortable. The backyard space was a peaceful oasis, perfect for hanging out by the pool or sitting in the sunshine! Thank you Jerome and Lisa!

Centrally located place with a clean bathroom and bedroom. I had access to the kitchen but I was out most of the time. Sweets in my room and flowers in bathroom-nice. Good parking spot - easy to walk to downtown. Joel/son were very friendly & gave me privacy while I worked (in my room). Dog mostly slept. When up, he was friendly but not overbearing. Again, mostly slept - never barked and didn't keep me up. House smelled like dog a bit if you're sensitive to that - I was fine w/it. Clean Bedroom & comfortable bed. Door locks for privacy but can't lock it when you're out. Since front door was left unlocked, it'd been nice to be able to lock my beddoor so I could leave my laptop. Bathroom was clean, shower was nice. I brought my own towel/bath supplies but there were some avail. Things to consider: bedroom is bright in the morning, while the guys were quiet, not a lot of acoustic privacy so if you sleep in bring eye shades/ear plugs and know you can be heard, too. Overall recommend.

We had a wonderful stay. A short walk to the beach makes this a perfect location. The house has everything you might need... beach towels, a washing machine, lots of comfy couches...

Place was great--fit our needs perfectly. Recommend opening windows at night to bring in that beautiful fresh air. Our 4.5 yo was absolutely over the moon by all the activities outside in the yard-- very well equipped area for adults and kids alike! The sand toys were also a hit--we loved walking to the beach and appreciated how well written the instructions were. Just took a photo of them and went on our way. Only bummer is the lack of sidewalks in Aptos, but most cars do seem to watch for walkers. Marianne's ice cream is great, and tamales across the street also fantastic. Weather cooperated and the easy access to Santa Cruz and Monterey made this location ideal. Colm was a great host--responded immediately to any questions I had. Very thankful for this spring break trip--we truly feel rejuvenated!

Amazing spot, home and host! Adding to all of the other glowing reviews here. Nancy was incredibly kind, responsive and had great local recommendations. The home looks just like the pics and is very well stocked with nearly everything you need (or forgot). The view from the deck is amazing on clear days. Overall, highly recommend. I LOVED this place. It was so beautiful on the inside and out. Each room was so spacious and organized. Also, the walk from the house to the beach was doable and super convenient.

My family and I enjoyed our stay so much we will probably return! We enjoyed the Pier, boardwalk and beach! My adult children and I shared the cooking each night so we could sit down together for family dinners! Kitchen and grill had everything we needed to prepare wonderful meals! Showers were awesome too! Thanks Carol for sharing your beautiful home!

The house was in the best location, just a short walk from the Point (less than a block). The sound and smell of the ocean were clear from the time we stepped out of the car. The house is surprisingly spacious. From the outside, it looks like a little charming beach cottage, but once you enter the gate, you are greeted with a hidden wonderland with all the amenities you would expect at a fancy home. The private yard has a private outdoor shower nook, hot tub, outside fire, and TV. The outside space is well designed and laid out for living and entertaining in the warm evening sea breeze. The covered space includes outdoor couches, a fireplace, and a large outside dining table steps away from the gas barbecue (which worked great) to cook dinner on our first night. The magic continues inside with very clean, sleak and extremely functional interior spaces. The living room and kitchen are open to each other and warm and inviting with plenty of comfortable seating. Its amazing all around!

Steve's place was awesome. Close to the beach, a rooftop deck, and plenty of room for all of us to sleep and hang out. Kitchen had everything we could have needed, and the hot tub was a nice treat at the end of the day. We appreciated having a couple beach cruisers available to ride down to one of the nearby beaches in the evenings.

We had a great two-night stay at this very clean and cute cottage. Good location and easy parking in the driveway.
