We loved staying at this beautiful home. The house is very inviting and has lovely baths and bedrooms . The best is the sweeping deck with its spectacular view. The beauty and peacefulness of it has to be experienced to fully appreciate, it was better than the pictures. We loved watching sunrise and sunsets from the deck. We also did see seals and sea otters liked climbing onto the deck. Beautiful trails are a short driving distance away. This is a very peaceful , but more out of the way location. It is for relaxation, but not for those looking for nearby restaurants. However, we did drive twice to Victoria to enjoy all the beautiful city has to offer, including a fantastic whale watching trip with Eagle Wing tours , who we cannot recommend enough. They went out of their way to show us killer whales, humpback whales and sea lions. . A trip to Hatley castle was also very lovely. We loved our time at this home and would return and highly recommend it for a beautiful and peaceful stay.

Two nights wasn’t long enough at this beautiful spot! We lucked out with gorgeous weather, and spent hours down at the dock looking out at the water. Wish it was warm enough to take the kayaks out, but will have to come back. Danny was a kind and flexible host, and we felt right at home!

What a beautiful Place! It looks exactly like the photos - waterfront, lots of big windows, feels like you are on a boat! The suite is very clean, modern, great shower, comfy bed, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Its quiet and tucked away, but very close to the charming town of Chemainus. Perfect spot for a peaceful getaway with a view, nature, yet handy to shops, restaurants and walking trails. I didn't use the hot tub, but appreciated the cozy robe provided. Angela is super nice, helpful, and you get a friendly greeting from Pip the dog. Loved my stay there!

I almost don’t want to share this hidden gem, it’s the best kept secret! Tucked away in a peaceful forest with stunning views of the bay, this place is pure magic. It’s just far enough, about 25–30 minutes from everything, so we were able to explore a variety of beaches and all the attractions in Troy, then return to peace and quiet. The home was spotless, beautifully stocked, and the hot water in the shower was amazing after long days of adventuring. We absolutely loved our stay. The host was excellent, kind, responsive, and thoughtful. Thank you for an unforgettable getaway!

Gary's place was absolutely gorgeous. The waterfront suite is private, with a stunning view of the water. Gary and his wife were absolutely charming hosts, the kind of people you would like to invite to dinner. The breakfasts were outstanding. Especially the lattes, omelettes and the Australian scones. The master bedroom was massive with an incredible view. The bathroom was deluxe. The whole suite was extremely clean, and we really loved using the kayaks to paddle around and then jump in the hot tub. They also have a fantastic outdoor shower and sauna. We also loved biking around the Island, visiting the Saturday market and we appreciated being close enough to walk into Ganges - which we did for a night to dine at Feast, also recommended. Overall, a very magical weekend.

A group of girlfriends and I rented this space for a relaxing weekend away and it was just that! The home is beautiful, clean, very comfortable and private. All the usual amenities you can think of and then some! We enjoyed the propane fireplace out on the covered patio, hot tub, the kayaks and the dock patio while taking in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Cowichan. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful lakeside haven! Susanne’s place has everything we needed and she was super helpful and responsive. This is one of the most well organized and well supplied Airbnbs I’ve stayed in. All the kitchen supplies were labeled clearly and everything was in great condition. The location is central whether you want to explore Victoria or the west coast.
