Guesthouse vacation rentals in Cape Fear River

The place was as advertised and worked well for our needs. All amenities were well met. The kitchen served nicely as it had induction stovetop, convection toaster oven, microwave, full refrigerator, and kuerig coffee maker. Bathroom was clean and access was good. She had outdoor lighting triggered for night time arrivals and comings and goings. The bed and furniture was more than adequate. Shower was spacious and well stocked. We had initial slight concern about accessing through the backyard, which we were told the dog used, but we only saw the dog once in our 3 day stay and it was quite calm and kept to it's own business and did not intrude upon us in any way so a non-issue in our opinion. As senior retirees we would stay here again and felt comfortable and safe.

We had a great stay! Ann was a great host - very proactive and great communication throughout our stay. The apartment was clean and exactly as described. We had no issues at all and I would definitely stay here again!

Lynn's cottage was amazing! Very comfortable stay for the two nights I visited. The outdoors area was very peaceful, and inside was very clean and felt like home. The pictures actually didn't do the cottage justice, as they updated some furniture, as well as made changes to the bathroom, since her photos were last taken. I would 100% recommend this stay for anyone looking for a quiet and cozy getaway, and I would definitely stay again!

My husband and I and our dog had a great stay at Susan’s place! Everything felt very clean, comfortable, and private! The best part of this place is the location to the beach and the beautiful live oak trees surrounding the place! The place is also very close to Southport, so we were able to shop a little and see some of the filming locations of Safe Haven during our visit. Susan was also very responsive whenever we had any questions! I would recommend staying here!

I came into town to visit family and all I wanted to do was get back to the Loft and relax! What a phenomenal setting. So quiet and peaceful and just the most spectacular nature setting. Very comfortable and clean inside and I so appreciated the stocked kitchen, ample towels, comfy beds, and the incredible trip down memory lane with the albums and books. All my favorites!

Gwen was a wonderful hostess. She was very helpful when we asked to extend our stay. She was great with her communication and left lights on when we told her we would arrive late in the evening. Her retreat is very quiet and peaceful and we had absolutely everything we needed. The location was perfect and easy to find. We hope to stay again in the future.

Great safe place to stay! The neighborhood is gorgeous and lots of sidewalks for walking, running, etc. The living space is perfect for one person. Donna has the place stocked with everything you might need!! Great for long term stays and close proximity to hospital and dr offices for students on clinical rotations. So much close by to do and only 15 mins from the beach! Loved this place!

Had an absolutely great stay at the backyard bungalow! It was perfect for what my boyfriend and I needed. The house was super clean and the furniture was comfortable! I also love that there was towels and linens and a full kitchen for us to use as our own. Would definitely go back!

Overall nice spot in a beautiful neighborhood. We had trouble warming the hot tub and the host came very quickly to help us get that situated. James was always quick to respond when help was needed.

Kamaron’s place was awesome! Just as described and a convenient location to both downtown Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach. The place itself was very cute and well cared for.

Absolutely where I needed to be after driving all day. Quality was outstanding. Soooo quiet and peaceful. Excellent yard area for my dog. The next time I’m driving through the area this will be the first place I will try and stay at.

Karen and her husband went over the top to make us feel welcome. Kindness and real southern hospitality were so appreciated as we dealt with a pipe leak and flood at my moms house down the road. The guest house was clean and comfortable and we would not hesitate to stay again. Lovely, Lovely people! Thank you so much Karen!

Jennifer’s place was the perfect getaway. It’s barely 10mins from the beach, great food, grocery stores, and other attractions. The place was spotless but that didn’t make it feel any less homey. The neighborhood is quiet which makes the place so peaceful and easy to relax in. We give it an 11/10! Will definitely return 🫶🏼

Take me back…we stayed a long weekend at the Tree Escape for our babymoon. It couldn’t have been a more relaxing, comfortable, and peaceful place to stay. We kept commenting on how thoughtful every touch was - a well equipped kitchen, luxurious linens and bath products, a front porch with rockers to enjoy our morning coffee…oh, and the ridiculously comfortable king bed. At one point I was waking up from an afternoon nap in the bed and thought “I can’t wait to get back in the bed later and get another good night of sleep.” Ginga, her husband and their sweet dog Roxy were so friendly and welcoming when we crossed paths, but we also felt we had complete privacy and seclusion. Their local recs were great too - we loved Provision Company, Fishy Fishy, CaCoCa for great food. This place is an absolute gem, don’t hesitate to book if a relaxed and pampered stay is what you’re looking for. Thank you Ginga, we can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. Peaceful location and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed The Azalea festival during our stay and Wrightsville beach which is close by.

I enjoyed my overnight stay at Courtney & John's place. The unit is tucked away behind trees and below street level with a gravel driveway at the end of the cul-de-sac. Thankfully, they quickly responded to my call for help to find the place. Once I arrived, it was perfect for my dog and me. I felt safe walking the neighborhood with my dog and felt like I was in a treehouse with all the vegetation surrounding the loft. We slept very well and enjoyed the nearby creek. We also visited the lake and read about the town's milling history at a small park. Hope Mills looks like a nice community and I would stay at this place again now that I can find it! Thank you for allowing pets!
