Mariela's place was perfect if you're traveling alone or with one other person. The studio apartment like setting is attached to the side of her home with your own private entrance. For those who like a very large bathroom this bathroom was much larger than what I needed. The small kitchenette was perfect for cooking simple healthy meals if you want to save money instead of paying top dollar for prepared foods at restaurants. There is also is a large charcoal grill and picnic table in the backyard. You cannot ask for a better host. Mariela is very kind person and very responsive. I would definitely go back!

I would recommend this place for any and all to stay at this place, whether by yoursolf for relaxation or business, or a small family for great visit, or even a vacation. Centrally located to everything, and even the beaches without the tourist over flow and expense of actually staying on the beach.

The condo was absolutely wonderful — it truly felt like home. Very cozy and welcoming. Diana prepared a lovely basket of groceries, which was such a thoughtful touch. The neighborhood is fantastic: peaceful, quiet, with plenty of places to walk around and birds singing in the mornings. I highly recommend this place if you’re planning a trip to Brownsville!
