Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Upstairs are 2 bright, ensuite bedrooms (one standard UK double, one king or twin). Downstairs is an open-plan living space, well-equipped kitchen and wet room.

Welcome to our Cabin on the Loch. Our custom built cabin on stilts over the pristine Loch Venachar. Situated in the heart of the Trossachs, not far from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling. It is a totally private secret escape. This is truly a place to relax and to get away from it all. Just sit on the deck, or take a stroll along the banks of the Loch. The cabin sleeps 2 people and is totally private. A wonderful location for fishing, walking and cycling, (or just chilling).

The property consists of four flats each with its own individual access and entrance. Cragowlet House East possesses magnificent views of the confluence of Loch Long and The River Clyde and beyond to Cowal peninsula and the isle of Arran. It retains its defining architectural features as per its category 'B' listing from Historic Scotland, with high ceilings, ornate plaster cornice work, 'period' fireplaces, plaster corbels, architraves, skirting and sash & case windows.

The Cabin consists of a walk in wet room with toilet and a very well equipped kitchen. Within the kitchen you will find a fridge, stove, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and crockery. The living Room has a TV and Log Burner - with French Doors out to the decking area. The double bedroom is up on the mezzanine level which you access via a ladder.

This stunning log cabin is set in a wooded area covered with bluebells in the spring some distance from the house, with private car parking, and outside dining area. The cabin is furnished and equipped to the highest standards making it cosy and comfortable at any time of the year. We also offer EV charging on site.
