Tivemos umas férias maravilhosas na Casa da Janela! A casa é linda, muito acolhedora e perfeita para momentos em família. Estava impecavelmente limpa, bem equipada e cheia de pequenos detalhes que nos fizeram sentir verdadeiramente em casa. A paisagem é simplesmente relaxante — com uma vista deslumbrante para a montanha e para o mar. O barulho suave das ondas e o sossego absoluto foram o cenário perfeito para recarregar energias. A localização é excelente: isolada o suficiente para garantir tranquilidade total, mas perto de tudo o que precisávamos. Um grande obrigado aos anfitriões, que foram sempre atenciosos e disponíveis.

This was truly one of the most beautiful Airbnbs we’ve stayed in during our time in Madeira. The house has such a lovely, beachy holiday feel, and the view… simply magical. From the terrace, you can gaze over the island and the sea — it’s the kind of view that leaves you speechless. The home is spacious and clean, yet still feels warm and cozy. One of our favorite moments was enjoying breakfast on the rooftop terrace, with the soft sound of the ocean in the background — a little slice of peace. During our stay, we did notice that some areas of the house could use a bit of care and maintenance — things like the windows and doors not working perfectly. But we communicated this gently with the owners, who were very kind and grateful for the feedback so they could make improvements for future guests. This was a delightful place to stay. Very private and so many facilities for a small place. Beautiful views, swimming pool and honesty bar. A total hidden gem.

Beautiful house! Amazing host, Paula makes sure everything is great. She even dropped by in the evening to bring new sheets when our baby threw up on our bed. Too sweet. Also the communication with her was the best ever. Big pool, great garden to have morning coffee in the sun, lovely village on walking distance. Good to know that the water pressure of the showers are a bit low, we were able to get a good shower anyway. Paula is super flexible, we were allowed to stay in the house until our flight left that day because there was not a guest coming that day or the next. All in all we would recommend Paula’s place 1000%.

The best hosts ever, they were both super helpful and incredibly friendly. Sanjay met us at the local supermarket and guided us to the Casa, which was helpful. The location is great, breath taking views across the valley, and mountains. Feels like you are at the top of the world. We loved watching the rainbows and listening to the bells from the church tower across the valley. The surroundings were peaceful and we especially loved the tropical garden that Svenja has planted, with several secret places to sit and soak up the ambience. The Casa was well equipped and we were provided with all the essential provisions, so we were able to make a meal on arrival. The central location ment that we were able to access most spots on the Island within an hour. We stayed for nine nights but wished we had planned for longer. Definitely recommend Casa Verde and we will be back again.

The flat is located on a banana plantation with a view of the sea. The terrace is fantastic. We only heard the sound of the sea. The lift from the garage to the flat is very practical for taking luggage and shopping upstairs. The flat is also well located as a starting point for hikes. Eva and João are very nice and helpful.

It's a bit remote on Madeira Island, but if you don't mind that, it's a perfect place to stay. It's very clean, well equipped, plenty of room for everything. We stayed there as a group of 7 and never felt crowded. Carla is the best host I've ever met - always responding, very helpful and polite. Overall, 10/10 recommendation, I can't say anything bad about this place.

es war ein wirklich sehr schönes großes haus mit einem paradisischem Balkon und einen herrlichen Ausblick über das ganze Dorf auf knappen 300 höhenmeter. Auto muss man ganz klar besitzen,sonst könnte es problematisch sein. kalt wird es tatsächlich nachts und morgens auch, aber dafür gibt es immerhin mobile heizgeräte in der wohnung. Kakerlaken sind uns leider auch beim direkten Bezug aufgefallen, nachdem wir jedoch 5 stück beseitigt hatten, haben wir kein Problem mehr damit gehabt

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable chez Ivone et Garry. L’appartement dispose d’une vue incroyable sur la mer et tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter pour un prochain séjour à Madère !

Le logement se situe dans un endroit magnifique. La vue est à couper le souffle. Si vous cherchez du calme, de la quiétude et du repos, c'est l'endroit parfait. Marco est un hôte attentionné et réactif. Merci de nous faire partager cet endroit.

Wij zijn net terug van een heerlijk verblijf op Madeira. Wat een prachtig en gastvrij eiland en wat een mooie locatie! De locatie is ruim en biedt volop privacy, Ezequiel, Juan en Maria zijn zeer vriendelijk, behulpzaam en gastvrij. De locatie bestaat uit 2 appartementen met allebei een eigen keuken. Het ene appartement heeft een twee persoonsbed, het andere 3 kamers met 5 slaapplaatsen (2 twee persoonsbedden en 2 een persoonsbedden). Dan is er een geweldige buitenkeuken bij het zwembad met een mooie uitkijk over de zee. De accomodatie is van alle gemakken voorzien en is keurig onderhouden. De hosts zijn erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Vanuit Arco da Calheta ben je zo bij Calheta (supermarkt, strand, restaurants en walvissen/dolfijnen spotten) en de natuur. Funchal en andere mooie plaatsen zijn per auto prima te bereiken. Tips: wandelen (PR6 en PR1), restaurants (Engenho Elho (Arco da Calheta), Manifattura di Celata (Calheta) en Old Phamarcy (Ponta do Sol). H2O voor boottocht)

Ana was an incredible host! One of the best we've ever had. Kind and extremely accommodating. We enjoyed the home, especially the hot tub on the balcony. A great place for a family or a couple to stay. Close to the airport and popular hiking spots. The roads leading up to the home can be pretty narrow, so make sure you plan out the best route beforehand! (We found it best to go one exit past what Google Maps recommended). We would definitely come back to stay with Ana and Marco when in Madeira!

bei Nelson konnte man sich von Anfang an zuhause fühlen. Vom ersten Empfang durch Dalila bis zur Abfahrt haben wir uns wohlgefühlt. Selbst als eine kleine Reparatur anstand, war diese innerhalb eines halben Tages erledigt plus Wäschewechsel zusätzlich. Wir sind Nelson selbst zwar nicht begegnet, aber hatten in Dalila eine super Ansprechpartnerin. Natürlich ist es bei dieser Lage sinnvoll, ein Auto zu mieten, doch dafür wird man auf der Terasse mit einem unbeschreiblichen Blick entlohnt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden Katrin und Karsten

This was a great property to stay at in Funchal. We loved the space entirely. It was full of natural light, well furnished, well maintained, clean and located perfectly for all our needs. We highly recommend this property.

lovely place with great views and proximity to funchal centre. private balcony with plenty space and access from both bedrooms and living area with some great late afternoon sun. whole place is air-conditioned and all the entrances and gates are key card operated so very secure

We had the most amazing stay at this Airbnb. The house was absolutely breathtaking, with its beautiful design, spacious rooms, and luxurious touches that made it feel like a true getaway. The spectacular view was something we’ll never forget, offering a peaceful backdrop that we enjoyed daily from the patio and living areas. What made our stay even more special was the incredible team. Nelson, the gardener and maintenance man, was incredibly kind and helpful, always available when we needed anything, yet never intrusive. His care for the gardens was evident, and he made sure everything worked perfectly. Nelia, the cleaner, was also fantastic, going above and beyond to ensure the house was left immaculate. She was so thoughtful and accommodating, making our stay feel effortless. The combination of this amazing property, the stunning views, and the wonderful people made this a truly unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to return!

The property easily lives up to the description and the pictures. The houses are fully equipped, very nicely decorated and comfortable. The swimming pools offer stunning unobstructed views of the ocean during the day and of the sky at night. There are no road noises, the place is truly calm. Grocery stores are a few minutes away by car, as are restaurants. Numerous hikes can be found in the region. The host is very reactive and will provide many recommandations related to restaurants and activities. Renting both houses to two families is a great way to spend time together while also having some privacy. I would go back there without any hesitation.

I stayed here for a week with my husband and it was lovely! The villa is even better than the photos suggest, and it was extremely clean. Hot tub and pool were amazing (although the pool was heated, it wasn't super warm). The views were fantastic day or night! It's just over an hour's (downhill) walk to the old town - we only ended up doing it once as there are numerous local buses that can get you there much more quickly. Taxis via Bolt are also cheap and readily available. It's also in a great location to get the 81 bus out to the Valley of the Nuns. It's about 7 minute walk to a local supermarket and there are a couple of bars and cafes nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

Ein warmherziger und herzlicher Empfang von Martine und Richard. Sie haben uns ein wunderschönes Haus in einem grünen geschützten Garten, das mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet ist, für eine entspannte Zeit überlassen. In diesem portugiesischen Kleinod kann man sich wunschlos und pudelwohl fühlen! Es fehlt einem an nichts, an alles wurde gedacht und alles ist modern und hochwertig. Beautiful house in a peaceful location surrounded by banana trees. Well equiped. Nice confortable jacuzzi. Definerly need a car to get there. Drive may be challenging in the beggining by the house is worth it!!! We loved our time there. Thank you so much!!!

Die Lage und Ausstattung der Unterkunft sind Top! Es fehlt an nichts und man fühlt sich sofort heimisch. Im Haus selber befinden sich diverse hilfreiche Tipps in Form einer Mappe, welche auf Hausregeln, Ausflugsziele und viele andere Sachen hinweist. Die Kommunikation mit Karol erfolgt schnell und er ist immer hilfsbereit.

We had a wonderful stay! The property is in a great location, completely private, with stunning views and a beautiful garden. It was a shame the weather was a bit too cold to swim in the pool during our stay, but we loved having the fireplace and Maria even brought us some extra wood to keep cosy!

We spent 5 woderful days at the Rock Villas. The place is even more amazing than in the pictures. Fabrice was very nice and helpful in everything we needed. The pool was a great way to end the day. The place is also very well located with many things to do at a short ride away. We highly recommend it!
