Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Caledonian Canal

This was an amazing place for us to stay as an extended family. There were nine of us, plus two dogs, and we rented the Doocot and the Lodge in the grounds. It is located right up in the hills and was blissfully remote yet easily accessible to the A90 to Perth and Dundee. The house itself was very comfortable and exactly as described. The sitting room was amazing with its enormously high ceilings, plenty of squishy sofas and a piano. There was also a Smart TV. For us, the best feature was the enormous dining table which easily seated us all and could have taken several other people too. We had lovely meals together all round the table. It was really memorable. The bathrooms were clean and new. The roll top bath was lovely and super to soak in. Check in, host communications etc were all super easy and they even helped us to have a hot tub ready for our arrival from Fife Hot Tub Hire. All in all, would highly recommend to people looking for a comfortable break away in the hills.

Andrea and Steven’s home in Culloden is a fantastic base for anyone exploring Inverness and the surrounding areas of Scotland. The location is both safe and incredibly convenient, with a Tesco Extra just a stone’s throw away. Additionally, the property is ideally situated for easy access to major tourist attractions such as Culloden Battlefield, Loch Ness, and the stunning Highlands. The home itself is comfortable, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, convenience, and accessibility to Scotland’s most iconic sites, this is it. Highly recommended!

Had just a single nights stay for work nearby but the perfect place to lay my head! Quiet, comfortable and had everything I needed. Great communication with Jamie the host, easy check-in and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if working nearby.

A lovely location and a very nice house. Has everything you could need or think of. Great to go down to the local loch and enjoy the surroundings on your own, as well as being so close to all the activities in the area.

Visited from the U.S for our honeymoon and this was the perfect place! Located close to the center of the city, so we were able to walk anywhere we wanted while in Inverness! The Airbnb met every need we had, was cozy, and in a private location which was easy to locate! Parking was easy to find as well. Highly recommend staying there if visiting Inverness!!

Excellent stay at Murray's apartment. The place is super spacious and very homely. Very well equipped kitchen and perfectly located. Murray was excellent at communicating and super helpful! We would definitely stay at the apartment again when visiting Oban.

The best place we stayed on our 10 day journey through England and Scotland. We broke the door handle to the front door,- and Ania came with a smile on her face and fixed it without a question. She also gave us instructions for places to see when we rented a car. Thank you so much for your hospitality, the beautiful apartment, and for beeing so nice to us.

Location was ideal for exploring the area, lovely hosts who were on hand should we have any queries, flat itself was comfortable & cosy and had everything we needed. I'd go back to this property without hesitation

Krystian and Kasia thought of everything!! So many personable touches to make us feel at home - from a stocked fridge with goodies for our travels the next day, to everything youd need for toiletries. The finishings in the apartment are beautiful - stunning, large bathroom and very comfortable beds. Walkable to the downtown centre and close to a large shopping center, but feels removed from the main area so it was peaceful and quiet. Would stay here again and again, really enjoyed ourselves.

This apartment was outstanding and Hazel has given much attention to detail and nothing has been forgotten. We had everything we needed and more. The place was spotless and had beautiful furnishings and we all got that cosy, relaxed vibe the minute we arrived. Lovely views over the river, and you can catch a glimpse of the sea over the rooftops. A few little extras were provided for my son's 30th birthday which made it even more special. We all had a great time here and can definitely recommend, it will not disappoint. Thankyou.

Really nice apartment in a great location. Dunkeld easily walkable - lots of great pubs and restaurants. Spoilt for choice for nice walks in the area too. The apartment was great, Ali has clearly thought about the little details too.

We had a lovely stay at Facundo's place. It is so clean, a wonderful location right on the beach and with easy access to all the sites of the Black Isle.

We had a great stay here! The place was comfortable and well-located, with easy access to local shops and restaurants, which made everything really convenient. Stephen was a great host—very responsive and even offered us an extra hour for late check-out, which we appreciated (though we didn’t end up needing it). Just a heads up for future guests: off-street parking isn’t permitted at the property, but there’s a nearby solution—Library car park is just around the corner and worked out fine for us. All in all, a pleasant and easy stay.

Great flat in a handy location. Slightly cold, but that was fine for us as we were out most of the time. Lots of very thorough instructions both through messages and printed in the flat - very impressed with the electronic entry! Thanks again!
