Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Buckhorn Lake

Mitch’s place was perfect for our vacation! It’s in a peaceful area right off of a main road and the property itself feels very private. There’s plenty of amenities to enjoy like the theater, pool table, fire pit, and hot tub which was great especially on colder nights! Everything was very clean and we felt right at home. There is a railroad right across the street but it didn’t bother us in the slightest so I wouldn’t stress about it. We’re very light sleepers, too, and didn’t wake up to any trains at all throughout the week. Most of the trains that pass through are quite quiet anyways. If anything, it adds to the experience! Great stay & definitely would love to return in the future!

We stayed at Dylan’s place for the weekend with 13 adults and 4 kids. There was enough rooms and beds for all of us with adequate bedding and space. The house was clean and well equipped for our weekend! Before the stay we had lots of questions and Dylan was very responsive and answered everything in a timely manner and with lots of details. He was always following up during the weekend as well. The dock is beautiful and amazing! It was a bit buggy but that’s expected near the waters. We used the kayaks and boat and had a wonderful time!

Chelsea’s place was absolutely beautiful ! Upon walking in the house, the view of the water is breathtaking and did not get old each morning while sipping our coffees. The home itself was very homey, and a great wide open space for gathering with friends. Chelsea was super helpful when booking, made recommendations and was super responsive during our stay with any questions we had. I would highly recommend a stay here - can’t get much closer to being “on the lake”!

James' Lakehouse was the perfect getaway. Incredibly clean, comfortable, quiet and a gorgeous location with easy access to all PEC has to offer.. The hottub with the view of the lake was the cherry on top. We'll definitely be back!

Very nice stay, if we are ever in Port Hope again we will be staying here! Close to downtown, and the place is private and well kept! Would recommend!

Sebastian’s place was absolutely wonderful, my husband and I came for our one year anniversary with no set plans about what we wanted to do in the area. The place was gorgeous, perfect little home away from home, in the mornings we drank our coffees on the front deck watching the butterflies in the garden, and in the evenings the hot tub barn made for a really beautiful evening hangout. Sebastian included a great bulletin board of things to do in the area with a fun ranking system so during the day my husband and I made a little road trip out of the most recommended attractions. I highly recommend the Petroglyph provincial park - it genuinely took our breath away. Thank you Sebastian for such a wonderful stay!

Derek and Doreen were extremely friendly, responsive, and hospitable, everything in the suite and in the backyard was as shown, if not better. They even gave us a gift as we had mentioned our wedding day was the day prior, couldn’t recommend them and this place enough, we would book again in a heart beat, thanks for everything Derek and Doreen!

A friend and I decided to head north for a quick night away. Taurean’s “King’s Den” apartment was the perfect choice! A gorgeous accommodation, filled with special little extras and attention to detail! We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Simona’s place! The property was beautiful with serene lake access, and the two decks made our evening hangouts especially comfortable and enjoyable. The house was well-equipped with all the amenities we needed for a stress-free and relaxing stay. Simona was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she went out of her way to make our visit comfortable, especially with our infant. Her thoughtfulness and hospitality truly made a difference. Anuhea's space is very cozy and inviting. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you may need. The outdoor space is beautiful - You forget you're in the city. The location is awesome, quiet neighborhood but just minutes from downtown. Her instructions to get to the Airbnb space was spot on! I also had the chance to chat with Anuhea and she is just a lovely person. Also, they have the fluffiest, friendliest outdoor cat that is sure to great you upon arrival. Eugene was the best welcome-wagon I've ever had lol.

After 3 days in Toronto, Tunde's accommodation is a peaceful haven. Very well-maintained accommodation and what a view🤩. Good place to go 1 day to Algonquin Park (80 km east entrance of the park). visit Egen Falls (short walk not far from Bancroft). shopping in Bancroft for groceries. Everything was perfect and Tunde responds quickly to our questions. i recommend this listing.

Wonderful hosts with outstanding HOT homemade breakfasts! Really appreciated the extra perks of magnifier make-up mirror, house coat, lush towels, several Keurig coffee pod choices and 2 choices for my own private exterior sitting area. Level access and close parking to entrance, extra wide interior doors. MaryAnn was spot on for my food choices even including 10% cream for my morning coffee and crisp bacon. Very large space with two large bedrooms, slept like a baby and the TV included all the streaming you would want Close to Art College and short drive into town of Haliburton. It was a bit chilly for June but Gerry turned on the propane fireplace then all was cozy. Book it - you won't be disappointed!

Travelling in an area which is a little under serviced for accommodations. This wonder apartment was a great stop on our journey. Very interesting history of the property, so pleased the host to preserve and share it with others.

Very cozy cabin. Has everything you could need, all what you have to bring is your clothings. We even had the chance to taste their homemade maple syrup! Close enough to Bancroft but still tranquil, nobody can access the cabin but you. We saw people stopping by on the otherside of the lake but it feels OK and not invading, it is far enough to not care. Wildlife was abundant. We did not have much mosquitoes or annoying bugs outside and literally none inside. We went there as a couple with a dog and, once used to the space the cabin offers, did not feel squeezed, although it is not huge. Hosts were very kind and responsive. If you like small, serene and cozy places, this is a must try.

What a little slice of heaven Finn and Trudy have to offer their guests. From the moment of booking we received amazing communication that both prepped and informed us of our upcoming visit. Local restaurants, activities in the area, direction to the location as well as check in instructions, Upon arrival we were greeted by Finn who was ever so kind and took a moment to show us the cottage we would be staying in. It was apparent right away that if we needed anything there would be no hesitation. The cottage was stalked with all little things that make you feel at home as well as extras such as milk, cream, condiments and spices. There is even a Keurig, coffee pods and tea available :) The beds we cozy. Nicely made with comfortable bedding and pillows and the bathroom had towels, face cloths, toothpaste. soap, shampoo, q-tips and make up pads. We were thoroughly impressed with all the fine details and extras that Finn offers his guests. This is our favorite place we have ever stayed!

A rural cabin with unexpected modern conveniences. Everything is new and works well. Beds and mattresses are great. Rare you find great comfortable mattresses. Sheets and blankets all smart freshly washed. Perfect for my dog. Private and safe. Bbq worked great and very hot. Not one thing disappointed me about this place. The host was happy to answer any questions. Even at 10.30 pm. Thank you it was great.

My partner, my dog and I stayed at John’s cabin and we had a wonderful experience. The cabin is enchanting, the surroundings are peaceful and the hosts are very kind - even the goats! We loved cooking outdoors and dipping our feet in the creek. I would highly recommend this cabin. Be sure to check out Church-Key Brewery nearby :)

The cottage was the perfect place for a relaxing long weekend with the pups. The property is private and allowed for us to wander and gather around the porch. The cottage itself was clean, well stocked, and cozy!

We loved our mini getaway! We had everything we needed and more! Sleeping was a dream. Comfy bed (and cozy couch!) Chilled by the fire…. Wandered the road…. Peaceful vibes. Kyle and his wife have thought of everything….from the record player to playing some cards by the fire! Thank you for hosting us. This was my son (9) and my second stay with Steve. It was even more amazing! Ammenities have been added including a fire pit. The trails were all amazing and well groomed. Best of all was the fishing right outside the door with Steve giving my son expert instruction! We had the honor of spending time with Steve and his beautiful wife on this trip, and they made us feel like family. Steve even showed us the Garden Hill Farmer's Market just down the road, which had amazing food, frozen meals, and the best ice cream. This is an amazing community and Steve is a great resource of it. We can't wait for our next stay!
