Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Bovey Tracey

Just got back from a lovely few days break in this beautiful cottage. James is a very welcoming and friendly host and along with the information book in the cottage we had everything we needed to know. The cottage was just perfect and the outside and surrounding garden is like a scene from a fairytale. If you’re looking for peace and relaxation , then this is definitely the place. Inside the cottage , there are lots of beautiful original features alongside more modern amenities. Everything that you could possibly need to make your stay more comfortable has been carefully thought about by the hosts. It’s in a great location to get to places like Torquay, Dartmouth and Brixham. All in all a fabulous place to stay for some much needed R&R.

We wanted to get away from it all in a part of Dartmoor we hadn't been to before and Steve's place seemed to fit the bill. When we got there, we found that it more than met our expectations! The Barn was exactly what we were looking for: a wonderful peaceful location and extremely comfortable and very well-equipped accommodation. The big selling point for us was the fact that the Barn was on lots of well-mapped walks, so that we could go on lovely walks in all directions without having to get in the car. Steve and Tessa were the perfect hosts; they made us feel most welcome and we found we had a lot in common. We very much enjoyed our short stay and look forward to returning to the Barn before long to explore the area further.

Skylark cottage is a beautiful place to stay. Everything new and modern with everything you could possibly need for a stay there. Kitchen was sparkling and the bedrooms were roomy with VERY comfortable beds! The bathrooms / shower rooms ( 3 of them!) were fantastic. And the garden was perfect for us and our 2 dogs who loved playing safely out there. Dilys was very helpful with text communications and Terry waited to let us in when we arrived. There were lots of leaflets with local walks and further afield activities- and a 10% off card for the local pub!!! The best Airbnb we have stayed in. Thank you for having us!!

Just had one of the most brilliant stays at "Little Spindles". A fantastic eco-built property situated down a quite lane with everything needed for a peaceful, relaxing time away. Inside, the property is just amazing; so clean and tidy, with top quality fixture and fittings and tastefully decorated. The garden area is mainly laid to lawn and is large and private, thanks to surrounding trees and shrubs. There's a little stream at the bottom of the garden and we were fortunate enough to see a kingfisher during our stay! It's close to the centre of Ashburton (lovely little place!) and ideally positioned for a wide variety of sightseeing and walking trips. Poppy is a great host and is always on hand to offer help when needed. We look forward to a return visit!

We absolutely loved our stay at Boundary cottage! It’s beautifully designed with gorgeous high quality interiors. It was just right for us - two adults and two children. Everything was provided for a child friendly stay (high chair, stair gate, travel cot, kids tableware). The cottage is compact but has made the most of all space for useful storage, it had everything we needed. Highlights for us were the beautiful bed linen, the gorgeous bathroom with uninterrupted views into the fields with the cows and the lovely walk straight out of the front door down the farm track. Our kids adored the cows and the little play area was a welcome occasional distraction!

This was our first holiday using Airbnb and we were a bit dubious about how everything would actually work but from start to finish we were truly amazed at the ease of the whole process any questions we had always had a quick, polite and respectful reply from Josh which put both me and my partner Lizzy at ease. When we arrived at the property we found the house to be spotlessly clean and tidy all the way through. We found that everything we needed was provided for and all of the amenities in the house were in perfect running order and we had no problems with anything at all during our stay. There was a clear and informative folder in the property that broke down everything we needed to know about the house from rubbish recycling to the operation of the cooker which was a great help to us. All in all both me and Lizzy can say that we both highly recommend Josh as a host and his property as a great place to stay at and we would not hesitate in staying there again in the future .

We had a lovely stay, the property was very clean and comfortable and it felt like home. Very peaceful with beautiful views. Easy walk into the centre of Chudleigh where you will find several good pubs.

We had a lovely couple of nights in the cottage. There was everything we needed. The kids loved the easy access to the enclosed private garden. Unfortunately we didnt get a chance to explore the grounds but they looked beautiful. We visited a great farm shop 5minutes away Ullacombe Farm shop with a cafe, animals and a play area for the kids. This has to be the best ever beachfront apartment we have stayed in. Spectacular views, spacious balcony, superbly equipped and everything worked without any hassle. The Leisure Club is an added bonus for me - brilliant pool, fitness equipment and the jacuzzi plus the outdoor terrace and restaurant with great meals, especially the (takeaway available too) fish and chips. The purpose of this trip was a holiday for my 94 year old Mother - above all the apartment was very safe/secure, accessible, the few steps to the 1st floor are manageable and the lift means getting into the apartment is easy. Totally recommend this apartment!

Myself, my husband and our little boy stayed last week and what can we say. We were blown away! Kate and Kieron are amazing! The apartment was beautiful, so well kept, clean and tidy. There was an information pack when we arrived with bits to do, housekeeping bits, even takeaway places! There was a welcome basket for us with fresh fruit, crisps, cookies and a lovely card. Kate had even went above and beyond and left a card, beer and chocolate for my husband for his birthday! The communication throughout the trip was amazing, we felt so welcome. We felt very safe staying there which was a big one for us having a little boy. Kate had made sure that she had put a basket of toys in the apartment for our little boy too. We could not have asked for a better host. The directions of how to get there and how to check in were brilliant! If you are looking for somewhere in Torquay I would highly recommend here, don’t go anywhere else!! We will definitely be back!!

What a beautiful little place and a fabulous location to stopover for a couple of nights. We absolutely loved Josie’s style at The Apiary and it was perfectly clean and comfortable for us and our little dog. Wandering through the grounds of Southcombe House and its pretty wildflower meadows was just delightful. An idyllic spot in wonderful location.

We had an excellent stay here in Newton Abbott! Mike and Anna were really lovely and responsive. Looks like the pics and is a good size for a group of friends, beautiful decor as well. Would definitely go back!

Chris & Sally are so friendly and helpful such a lovely couple and extremely welcoming …the accommodation was very luxurious and everything we needed for our stay the fridge was even stocked up with essentials so we didn’t have to go shopping when we arrived!! They went over and beyond to make us feel comfortable…absolutely amazing views…We shall have no hesitation in recommending this AirB&B to friends and family…one of the best ones we’ve stayed at!! My husband, 10-year-old daughter and myself have just returned from a truly amazing week, the property is beautiful, with facilities that far exceeded expectations. We had such a relaxing time; the beds are super comfy; led in bed looking out to sea with a coffee in the morning was a true highlight. The gardens are beautifully kept and being gated and private we had no worries with our daughter playing out. The walk down to Watcombe Beach, albeit steep on the way back up but 100% worth it; we took our paddleboard down and went swimming on a number of occasions, the water is very calm, on 2 occasions we were in the water and within 20ft off us were 2 seals! The hot tub was perfect, lovely fluffy robes provided to keep off the chill. We used the BBQ each evening and ate out on the patio. Susan is an incredible host, nothing is too much trouble, very informative and exceedingly helpful, she really did enhance our stay and made us feel as if we were staying in a home from home.

Great location and beautiful flat. We took our 1 year old with us and it was perfectly suited to him toddling around too. Very clean and modern interior. Would highly recommend!

Lacey was responsive and helpful. Very clear instructions to access the property. Air BnB was cozy, utilised space well and still room to move around. Very welcoming, was super comfortable and would definitely stay again!

Accurate description, Centrally located. Excellent communication pre and during our stay, Nia was very helpful in providing information and recommendations whilst visiting Totnes. The studio was just as described spotlessly clean comfortable with everything needed for our short break, I would highly recommend Nia and Primrose Studio as a must if visiting Totnes, Diolch Yn Fawr Amanda and Ian

This is a smart beautifully decorated flat with very tasteful furniture and fittings. Ideally placed for exploring Ashburton on foot and local beaches and Dartmoor very close. With our daughter living in Buckfastleigh we will be back to stay.

A beautiful apartment just a short walk away from the centre of Torquay. Dean was very helpful. I would happily stay here again.

This really is a gem of a place. So stylish yet homely. It is off a fairly bisy road, but you didn’t notice that at all when inside. It’s a little oasis with a beautifully mature garden. We slept really well and would stay here again without any questions. Parking was super easy too.

We had to book very last second. Nicole was very helpful, answered super quickly and had this beautiful Airbnb ready for us. We were greeted be personalized signs and an Airbnb with a great atmosphere. You can see the love in every detail. Everything is clean and cozy and besides the usual things they provided detailed recommendations for the area, a free yoga class Nicole gives and a lot of small things like coffee, cereal and jam. We definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone staying in the area.

We've stayed at many Airbnb's but have to say Luke's place was one of the best. Quiet surroundings, an easy walk into town and a beautiful, scented garden to enjoy your coffee (machine supplied). In fact, Luke's place had everything you'd need for a perfect beach holiday. Prosecco and cream tea much appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

Duncan was an amazing host and very helpful and friendly. The Airbnb was absolutely stunning and included all the little essentials such as oil, salt and pepper, kitchenware, shampoo/conditioner/soap, ironing board/iron, and more. Duncan was very responsive and made sure everything was taken care of. Definitely recommend.

We've just got home after an amazing stay at Harbour View. Martin and Diane's apartment was absolutely spotless, so comfortable and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. The finishing touches were so lovely and much appreciated, like the fabulous welcome pack which included a bottle of prosecco, soft drinks, milk, tea, sugar and biscuits. It was so great having all that too welcome us after a long journey. The best thing about staying here though was having the benefit of Martin's local knowledge. Martin put together a pack of places he thought we'd liked to visit with the children, he gave us postcodes and printed pictures with chat instructions. This meant we visited places we wouldn't have know about which made our stay even more special. Thank you so much Martin, you really did make our stay amazing! I would recommend Harbour View to anyone wanting to visit Torquay in luxury! Thanks again Martin and Diane.
