Well what a beautiful little cosy cottage, perfect for a little escape! Honeyspot cottage has everything you need. We didn't need to ask our hosts for anything. The information guide provided has everything you may need to know. Alistair sent us a message before we arrived and came to greet us when we did, informing us he had also provided a little bottle of milk to get us started, which was unexpected and very lovely. The village of Winster is a stunning picturesque place and the local village shop has the nicest local produce, which we indulged in for our breakfasts. A visit to Chatsworth house is a must and if you love Italian food, Il Lupo an Italian run restaurant, which is about a 20 minute drive from Winster, is also a must visit, the best Italian food we have had that wasn't in Italy! Great stay in Birchover, lovely, cozy flat area - amazing breakfast spread and we felt really at ease with the cute decor. Catherine was really responsive and helpful. We enjoyed being able to do a bit of walking from the flat and being within easy walk of the pub. Great value for money, would recommend to anyone in the area

Rachael has a top AirBnB rating because her place is superbly located and thoughtfully set-up. The cottage is very light, spacious, super comfortable and clean, and has all that you could want for a relaxing stay. Standout details are the list of walks and places to eat and drink, the views from the house, the really well equipped kitchen – and not forgetting Rachael’s greeting with a tin of home baked brownies, 2 ponies and 2 dogs! And the stag with antlers running in the next field… We will be booking our next stay at Rachael and Gerry’s cottage soon and hope to book the neighbouring Stables Cottage and superb looking cabin too for a visit with family.

We had 4 lovely quiet and very comfortable nights and 4 super sunny days in Lancaster Cottage. The cottage is a haven of comfort & peace to come back to after a busy day out exploring, and Katie has thought of everything to enable such a relaxing stay. The furnishings and decor are hygge and the planting up to, immediately outside the cottage and along and into the sheltered garden is just wonderful and so sympathetic to the beautiful cottages and stunning scenery. Using the parking space on the end worked out fine and everyone was very friendly. Having the village shop was a real bonus too, along with the various local history books and maps provided in the cottage. Coming early in the year, we struggled to find somewhere nearby for a reasonable evening meal on Wednesday, but that was a tiny thing. We cooked for ourselves on the other evenings in the well-equipped kitchen. A perfect place in a beautiful part of the country - thank you!
