Truly can't find the words to describe how perfect this was! My partner and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was the most surreal space. If you truly want to get away and relax this is the ideal spot. Fran and Bob were phenomenal hosts who went the extra mile to ensure this trip was spectacular. On arrival we received a gorgeous apple cake, fresh clotted cream and fresh milk. The outdoor space was fantastic and was accompanied by Fran and Bob's farm friends which was the perfect touch. If you come on a particularly clear day then stargazing will be a fun addition to your stay. We did intend to go into the Beaminster square, which is a short walk away, but once we had our shopping and had viewed the property we had absolutely no desire to leave. If you're seeking a reset this is the place for you!

Beautiful cottage in a great location - easy walk into Beaminster. Hayley is a fantastic host, very friendly and with great local suggestions. The cottage has everything you need for a great stay - comfy big bed, well equipped kitchen, warm and cosy, big bathroom with a bath for a lovely soak after days out. And a fully enclosed garden which our dog really appreciated. And a welcome pack with some lovely goodies including amazing sourdough from a local bakery. We would love to have stayed longer as there is so much to discover and do in the area - so many local walks we’ll have to come back to do another time. Would highly recommend Whatley Cottage. A special house in the beautiful Dorset countryside, set in pretty rolling hills just 20 minutes from the stunning Jurassic Coast. We are regular visitors and come here to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and gorgeous walks. At this time of year the primroses were out everywhere, the bluebells just starting to appear, and the birdsong so magical at all times of the day. The house itself is charming, sitting on the Mapperton Estate at the edge of the main garden, and Luke and his team make sure it is always clean and welcoming. The beds are really comfortable with lovely bedlinen! I thoroughly recommend Garden Cottage!

We had a lovely stay with Sarah, and was warmly welcomed with treats for us and our dog. Cottage was well equipped and clean. Great location with a short walk for pubs, shop and restaurants. Beautiful area with plenty of walks. There was no parking, but only a short walk to a pay and display or free on road parking and we didn’t struggle to find a space.
