My friend and I stayed here for the first time this May, and we were both blown away at how amazing the property is. It was extremely clean, warm and very inviting, and it was great to have an outdoor seating area which was very private and surprisingly quiet considering that we were in the heart of Bowness. The property is very convenient for everything that you need, and Peter is extremely knowledgeable about anything that you need to know. Exceptional stay and we will recommend ADMIRAL'S NEST to all friends and family. This is the only place that I will stay now in Bowness. Thank you Peter .

Fantastic apartment, clean and well presented with modern features, perfectly located in the centre of Coniston. Excellent communication from the host, easy to check in/check out via Alexa.

A lovely loft - perfect and just what we needed for our 2 day mini-break. The loft was much bigger than we anticipated so that was a lovely surprise. The little touches were great too - fresh towels, milk, butter, instructions for the hot tub, even some jigsaws for the rainy afternoon. Everything we needed. The outdoor space was so peaceful. Even though we were on the farm’s property, we felt right at home, comfortable and had the privacy we wanted. The neighbours were adorable - cows and their calves! The outdoor space was secure for our two dogs. Plenty of room for them to stretch their legs and play on the grass. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed here for a week and had an amazing time. The location is perfect, within walking distance to Windermere town (about 10 mins) and also Bowness (about 20 mins). The accommodation was spacious and clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Gary and Ange were fantastic hosts, they made us feel very welcome whenever we bumped into them and went above and beyond to return a personal item we accidentally left behind. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again next time we visit the Lake District.

We had a fantastic stay at Niall and Marta’s beautiful 2-bedroom apartment in Windermere. The space was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The decor was stylish and thoughtfully done, making it feel like a home away from home. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. You have free parking available and all restaurants/shops are at a walking distance. Highly recommend!

What a fabulous few days me and my boys had ..I’ve never seen them so relaxed (ages 35 and 37 )x I think it was the lovely energy we felt in the beautiful Nest xx looking out over the river each morning set us up for the day. Would recommend 100% , we had everything we needed ..I couldn’t fault it ..the bedrooms immaculate and the beds /bedding were soft clean and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the gym and pool offer also x staff there were lovely at the Swan Hotel. Thank you xx

Andrew's place never fails to satisfy! This is our third visit. Great value for money, clean, well equipped, massive comfy bed, private hot tub. bang in the middle of Morecambe with easy access to the south lakes and lovely local coastal towns. We'll be back! :)

John was so kind to wait for us as we reached late. The place is great, soo many rooms and soo many things to do. Pool, jacuzzi, Sauna, baths, Fireplace, 2 kitchens.. would keep a day to just enjoy the house!. John is extremely helpful with recommendations and any help. We were 9 people and it was tremendous fun. We walked to stone circles at 8 pm and it was like walking in the clouds. Not enough words! If you are a group, this is the place to stay in Lake district. Would recommend it and would visit back! Thanks John!

Really worth it! Mark & Rachel were great hosts you took the time to share and walk me through the full details of the property and its surrounding area. They were kind and responsive making me and my family feel right at home. The property is a nice stroll away from the sea front and conveniently across a Sainsbury’s for any needs during the stay. I hope to stay there again when I’m next in Lancaster as all my needs were met. Thank you Mark & Rachel for a pleasant stay.

House was exactly as described and pristine. The kids loved their own space in the “loft”. Would be slightly weary of stairs with younger kids (especially if they walk at night). Kitchen had everything you need to make breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. The house was super cozy and the beds very comfortable. Fantastic location - very remote if that’s what you’re looking for. Perfect location for climbing Scafell although we didn’t attempt due to the weather. Fair drive on tricky fell roads if you’re looking to spend lots of time in Windermere / Ambleside / Keswick. But perfectly doable. Great pub down the road with play area and football for the kids. Would love to return / have stayed longer to walk around the area close to the house.

Stayed here as I was running an Ultra (the Lap) in the area with a start point not far away so this was an ideal location. What made this stay amazing was the property itself and Louise’s communication which was spot on, very friendly and welcoming. I felt at home when I didn’t need any distractions other than the event I was focussed on and this was 100% possible here. I even met some of the neighbours who were really lovely and helpful too. 100% recommend staying here ❤️

Just home from a long weekend with 4 x couples & a dog. Great house that went beyond expectations. It was a brilliant big space, that provided everything we needed. We all absolutely loved the hot tub & the views from the top of the garden, aswell as the fab BBQ decking area. Great location that was a short walk to the centre of Bowness. We couldn't recommend it more & plan on visiting again. Thank you again, Simon!

Beautiful cottage. If you want avoid busy area, here is! Just short drive to everything. Must stay again when visit The Lake next time.

Lovely, modern and sleek property which has been designed to meet the needs of a large group. Bathrooms nice and modern and spotless throughout. Really well located in Ambleside, short walk to shops and restaurants but me mindful of steep hill if have mobility issues. Very easy to find and key box code to enter. Kimberley gave great instructions and was really responsive to any questions. We loved our stay here despite the rain and it was a real bonus having a washer and dryer to cope with our soggy clothes each day! Thoroughly recommend.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay during our hiking adventure. The place was very comfortable with several pubs just a few minutes away. We also took advantage of a very well equipped kitchen and a local supermarket (we cooked our own dinner one night). If I were returning to Sedbergh or the area, I would book the same place again, it was a true gem. The host provided great instructions, it was easy to find the place and retrieve the key. Big bonus is ample free parking in the area and proximity to a lot of great hiking locations (including some starting just from the town itself).

This place is absolutely stunning, no photo could possibly capture the true beauty of the building. The huge windows overlooking the stream are pure magic. It was an absolute dream of a stay, if you ever feel the need to just switch off and be alone with your thoughts and really unwind this is the place to do it. 100% I will be booking this again, everything was spotless and the decor is straight out of a cottage/industrial living magazine. There is nothing negative to say about this place other than the pure jealousy I feel that I don't live there full time.

Abigail’s is the most beautiful home! We visit every year not only because of the home but because of Simone, the host is amazing!! She really is a 10/10 host, very easy to talk to, caring and very responsive to your needs! We feel very lucky to spend our time in the lakes but thats a huge thank you to Abigail’s for making our holiday special! Thank you Simone - you’re amazing 🤩

lovely apartment which was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great central location with fantastic public transport near by. Lottie had sent some reccomendations to visit and places to eat. Like most places Mondays are tricky finding a restaurant open. Everything was great and Lottie was a kind and responsive host who left us gorgeous local goodies to ear, much appreciated

This apartment is very spacious - bigger than it appears in the photos. It is well equipped, warm and comfortable. There are useful instructions for all the appliances etc. It was lovely to have a view of the bay from the kitchen and one of the bedrooms. The location is central but peaceful and the private parking space is very useful. You can walk to the promenade in under 10 minutes. Communication with Carina was very prompt, friendly and efficient.

What a lovely flat in sleepy Sedbergh! Great location and very peaceful. The flat is so comfortable with the softest carpets too. Lots of extra towels and bedding available. A very well equipped kitchen and a lovely feeling of calm as soon as we stepped inside. Everything was really well thought out and very clean. We stayed for two nights but will definitely stay again and for longer next time. Amy very kindly extended our check out time and always responded to questions quickly. I highly recommend visiting Sedbergh and staying in this stunning little flat!

We had a fantastic stay in the Lake District at Crafton! The host- Ray were super responsive and always prompt with communication. The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Some lovely touches, like milk and a cold cider in the fridge on arrival, made us feel really welcome. Ray, who lives downstairs, was great—he made sure we checked in without any issues. It’s a perfect spot for one or even two families exploring the Lake District. Highly recommended and definitely won’t disappoint!
