Monthly Rentals in Daguao

I enjoy being away from busy touristy places. There is a pleasant beach just a few blocks away. Everyone we encountered was kind and welcoming. The restaurants are also just about 10 min walk and there are several options. On the Sunday we were there there was a sidewalk shopping (not sure if this is always) on the boardwalk by the restaurants. Lots of friendly stray dogs and cats in the neighborhood - we were a little scared but all were friendly but we didn’t pet them. We even had an iguana knock on the front door one day, 😂

The house was relatively easy to find, and I really enjoyed being able to park in the driveway, behind the sliding gate. The kitchen was stocked with all you’d need to cook, including some rice, peanut butter, syrups, cereal, and even a couple cans of chef Boyardee! You are right next door to a bar, which can be very noisy at night, but the DJ/loud music would stop around 8 PM (on the weekends). I don’t believe that hey played music on the weekdays. Several nice spots to eat within 5-10 minutes, and the drive to the ferry to Vieques/Culebra wasn’t too bad. Enjoyed waking up to the sound of the waves across the street, although the beach itself didn’t seem like it was suited for sunbathing/swimming. When we arrived, we ventured over and there was too much sea debris (twigs/tires/palm leaves/etc) to put down a towel. There was a lot of outdoor seating on the balcony of the air bnb (chairs, benches, a picnic bench, etc) and cushions were provided! Would stay again!

The house is nicely located on a quiet street and a short walk to a great beach and wonderful restaurants on the Melecon. We spent most our time up on the rooftop deck having coffee in the morning and enjoying the sunsets at night. We would definitely stay again!

Nancy's and Willie's home away from home is an amazing place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. The views are breathtaking. Their place has everything you need to feel like being home and on vacation at the same time. Spotless and fresh, very modern, with thoughtful decorations and uplifting colors. Nancy and Willie are great people who care about each other, about their adopted furry crew and their guests. They welcomed us warmly and prepared snacks and colorful plate of fruits and homemade banana bread ( well...banana bread was definitely Nancy's part :) We knew that if we need something, they would be there for us. We love to travel and have seen many beautiful places around the world. But places were you meet good people and make new friends become the closest to our hearts.
