Irene was a great host, very friendly and kind. The place is very clean, spacious and has everything you need. The WiFi connection is not the best, however that can be a good thing as it helps you unplug from the digital world and live more in the real one. Getting to the location takes about 1.5 hours from the airport and the road is very scenic. For those less used to driving on bendy mountain roads might be an intimidating experience at first, as it was my case, however after a few days you get used to it and the views are amazing. If you feel like spending more time locally, Aldea has a decent variety of restaurants, shops and supermarkets all within walking distance from Irene's place. The town is very quiet and peaceful and the people are very nice. Getting to the beaches in the south takes between 50 to 70 minutes, depends where you want to go. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay at Irene's, it's very good value for the money and I highly recommend it.

We had a great stay in the apartment! Beautiful apartment, good amenities, large terrace - view on Tenerife. The sea right outside the front door, you can go swimming directly. Small hikes are possible from there, by car also comes very quickly to other places (for example for hikes). The restaurants/bars nearby are fine, close early. The host responds quickly and is very friendly. All in all, we would definitely come back!

This is really a great place to stay at Gran Canaria. The beautiful appartment has everything you need to have for a good holiday. Especially the roof terrace with the jacuzzi and the magnificent mountain view is awesome. Moreover, La Aldea de San Nicolas is a very nice place to stay, far away from all the busy tourist places. With a rental car you can go to many beautiful sites around there.
