If you want a quiet place to stay this is it. Small fishing village just outside of Muscat. It’s a 15 minute drive into the city, but you can also walk 2 minutes to the beach and swim with turtles. Hiking trails close by and fisherman willing to take you out on their boats for a very reasonable price just down the street. Abdul Rahman is a great host and has lots of tips to make your trip a real experience. The places is as pictured, simple but clean. There is a small store in the village that has the basics and at night time there’s local guy that sets up a barbeque with meat/seafood on a stick that’s amazing and super cheap.

We loved our stay at Bait Ahlam at Qantab beach. We first stayed in 2023 loved it so much we knew we would come back. The cottage is unique, peaceful & has an amazing feel to it. Regula has lovely touches all through Bait Ahlam. Staying there combined with the fishing village is unique. The people are so friendly. Regula once again has been a fantastic host she is always so responsive & friendly. I know we will go back again to stay sometime.

The best Airbnb you’ll find for this price in Muscat. It’s got everything you could possibly need.. washing machine, AC, a kitchen, and a super comfy bed for a good night’s sleep. The neighborhood’s nice and quiet, and theres a cozy little cafe just a minute away. Careem works perfectly here, and the city center’s only about a 10 min ride. Definitely recommend this place, and the host Mazin was always quick to reply whenever I needed anything.
