Waterfront vacation rentals in Bahía Ballena

Matapalo Beach ist ein wunderbarer Strand mit wenig Tourismus. Die Tierwelt rund in der Umgebung ist mannigfaltig und lässt nie Langeweile aufkommen. Die Sonnenauf- und Untergänge sind wohl die schönsten in der Umgebung. Ohne Mietwagen würde ich Matapalo allerdings nicht empfehlen, denn mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel ist es sehr schwierig Abstecher in sie Umgebung zu machen, dann steckt man einfach an diesem schönen, nicht mit Tourismus überladenen Strand fest. Die Unterkunft von Laura war die ersten drei Monate ideal, sehr ruhig und erholsam, rundherum vom vielfältigen Gesang und Gezwitscher der artenreichen Vogelwelt untermalt. Der letzte Monat war allerdings nicht so toll: Gleich hinter der Unterkunft bauten jemand ein neues Gebäude und fast diesen ganzen letzten Monat war Tag für Tag unerträglicher Baustellenlärm, auch am Wochenende; das war nervenaufreibend und kein Urlaub mehr. Aber wenn das Gebäude einmal fertiggestellt ist, wird ja auch wieder Ruhe und Frieden einkehren.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cabinas La Chirincocas. William was available and easy to communicate with. Pablo greeted us warmly and allowed for flexible check in. The room and amenities made for a comfortable stay, and it was very clean. The location was great for walking to the Bahia Ballena park with many excellent restaurants. Would stay again.

Beautiful place! So serene in the middle of a national park. We enjoyed taking a stroll down to the beach every day, looking for wildlife and ultimately relaxing. The house was perfectly clean and had everything we needed! The area had a lot to offer and we checked out some of places recommended to us which we enjoyed. This area has a lot to offer without feeling touristy.

Este lugar es MUCHO más bonito de lo que permiten las fotos. Nuestro anfitrión fue muy acogedor y la comunicación fue fácil. La unidad está justo en medio de la selva, por lo que teníamos todo tipo de transeúntes silvestres interesantes y dignos de fotos. A pesar de estar en un condominio la propiedad parecía tener la cantidad correcta de aislamiento y privacidad. ¡¡¡¡Y la playa !!!!, casi solitaria, que llegas por un sendero que interiorizas tranquilidad para relajarte, fui con mi bebe de 4 meses y fue muy fácil el acceso del coche de bebe a la playa, encontraras mucha sombra debajo de los exuberantes árboles, que ayudaron a mantener fresca y un buen descanso de mi bebe. Hay muchos restaurantes en la zona, y si no quieres salir pasas por un supermercado y compras para preparar tus comidas, la cocina está completamente equipada, o puedes caminando por la playa a Villa Eleonor un restaurante local, llega con tiempo porque tarda un poco de tiempo en servir la comida, Volveremos pronto

Geweldig verblijf gehad. Vriendelijk ontvangen en leuk gekletst in de avond, we mochten nog gebruik maken van het zwembad, speciaal voor ons waren de watersproeiers in het zwembad aangezet. Heerlijk wakker geworden met tropische geluiden en fruit gekregen in de ochtend.

Wow what a Gem! This condo is amazing and so luxurious! The jungle walk to the private beach was my absolute favorite to do in the morning. The pool is dreamy. Everything was stunning and squeaky clean in the condo. The beds were out of this world comfortable and any question I had Danielle and Gregory were always just 1 message away. 10/10 would recommend!

Our stay at this property was absolutely incredible, with a breathtaking view! The room was clean, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped. The concierge was welcoming, and we appreciated for a hot shower and fresh towels. The pool area was stunning and well-maintained.However, there are a few areas that could be improved. It good to have coffee or tea for guest, and we were surprised to find there was no iron. Additionally, some house rules were unexpected, such as the prohibition on drones and no BBQs, despite them being shown in the photos. Although the balcony is shared with other guests, we were fortunate to have it mostly to ourselves. The bar chairs on the balcony were not very comfortable, and there was only one patio chair for the two of us. We also felt a bit uncomfortable with the presence of several cameras on the property, including one right of our apartment. Despite these minor issues, our overall experience was fantastic! We would definitely stay again!

Ian's hotel is the perfect little spot in Dominical. Great location great pool great rooms. Great crowd. Ian himself is a cool guy and has fun plans to expand the place. Really looking forward to staying again sometime.

Pura Vida - Great host and location. Walkable to the beach and several restaurants. Calm oasis in the back yard, where we could see Tucans, howler monkeys and an array of birds! Host is very responsive and we also appreciated having air conditioning as well as a washer / dryer. Uvita is a great place to visit with a ton of fun activities, and having the small pool onsite was really nice to escape the hot midday sun. The full kitchen is also a bonus. Modern, easy - with good WiFi and a good host. The howler moneys did wake us up in the morning, but that was actually pretty cool alarm clock - although they sounded like a sick dog!!! We stayed at 3 places, all of which said you’d see moneys, never saw any and we saw them all from the comfort of the shaded porch here.

This place was great. It was very well kept and spacious for us. We enjoyed the evenings outside by the pool. I it was very private and quiet. We loved the landscape.

un lugar excelente para relajarse y descansar. playas cerca y lugares para caminar.

Wir waren ein paar Tage bei Carlos in der Unterkunft und haben den Ausblick und das Ambiente sehr genossen. Wir haben uns sogar zu dem privaten Wasserfall getraut, der wirklich sehr schön ist. Carlos hat uns viele Tipps und Infos gegeben und war super freundlich. Insgesamt hat uns der Aufenthalt gut gefallen. Man darf nicht vergessen, dass es ein offenes Haus ist, mitten in der Natur, sodass der Wohnbereich eine hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit hat (zumindest in der Regenzeit).

Vivi and Jorge were wonderful at making sure that we had everything we needed. Midweek, they came through to exchange towels and take out the trash. The location at the beach was so beautiful. We were able to swim in the ocean every day when the tide was low we were able to walk into town, there were trinkets to buy and great restaurants in Dominical. There were beautiful birds around the place, and it was very easy for us to go both north and south along the coast with a rented car. I can’t wait to come back!

Nuestra visita fue todo un éxito, todo estuvo exelente, Sara, siempre muy atenta y disponible para asistir con todo, la casa estaba perfecto tal como se veía en la publicación. Exelente cocina muy bien equipada. 100% recomendado, la pasamos increíble, volveremos pronto. ¡Gracias por todo!

We’ve lived in Costa Rica and been to almost every corner of the country. Natalia’s property and guest house is one of a kind and incredibly special. Only thing to be aware of is that there is only A/C in the master bedroom and it gets quite humid (expected). Wonderful place to stay and be truly immersed in the south coast.

Die Unterkunft war sauber, sehr geräumig, gut ausgestattet und ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zum wunderschönen Uvita Strand. Außerdem war es sehr sicher.

Por encima de todo fue excelente Nos sorprendió llegar y ver un lugar tan hermoso, ordenado, organizado y limpio, la piscina es bastante honda (Unos 1.70cm ya que mido 1.47 y no alcanzaba el fondo) Lo cual es bastante comodo para nadar a gusto y sumergirse un rato, la cocina está muy muy bien equipada⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Con el Victor no tuve que esperar ni 2 minutos a que me respondiera, siempre dió con el resultado de mis consultas, y Gabriela sin duda a alguna muy muy amable y atenta a nuestras necesidades, el lugar está igual que en las fotos, cerca de playas y el lugar es muy muy tranquilo para darse una caminata, ir a comer, playa e incluso cataratas(a 10 minutos en auto) Lo recomiendo bastante, en definitiva volveremos algún día⭐⭐⭐⭐

Isaac fue muy amable, rápido para responder y para ayudarnos con nuestras preguntas. El lugar está impecable y las amenidades son exactamente las descritas, el ambiente es muy tranquilo y la vista es muy linda con mucha naturaleza, totalmente vale la pena! :)

Perfect location between Emilio's Cafe and Hotel Mariposa. We walked to every fantastic meal we enjoyed. Loved the pool and the monkeys. Host's assistant Hector was very helpful and responsive. Thank you!!

Isaac est un hôte très accueillant et chaleureux, toujours prêt à nous servir, très réceptif et pleins de bonnes recommandations dans le coin. Nous avons adoré notre petit séjour tranquille à Quepos dans ce bel appartement, nous y retournerions avec joie. Étant très proche du parc national Manuel Antonio c’est l’endroit idéal pour aller explorer la nature du Costa Rica. Je recommande à tout premiers voyageurs séjournant dans ce petit coin d’aller y faire un tour, vous ne serez pas déçu.

La estadia fue rapida pero el lugar estaba limpio y acorde a lo que se encuentra en el anuncio. La comunicación fue adecuada. Completamente recomendado.

Big cabañas with AC, a pool and a shared kitchen which is great for communication and social contacts. Very nice hosts and family. Having a car is a plus due to the long road to the beach/supermarkt, but they rent bikes for a fair price, too.

Gostamos muito da hospedagem. Fomos recebidos pessoalmente pelos anfitriões que nos passaram os detalhes da casa. Alguns detalhes foram resolvidos rapidamente e sempre nos responderam com gentileza e prontidão. Na segunda noite trancamos a porta com a chave dentro e Don José foi lá abrir a porta prontamente (ele mora há 25km de distância). O local fica a 1 minuto a pé da entrada do parque Manoel Antônio e a essa mesma distância da praia Espadilla. Tem restaurante, mercadinho, agências de passeio, bares, tudo ao alcance a pé. O ônibus para bem próximo de lá também. A casa é muito confortável, silênciosa , bem equipada e há muitos animais ao redor (veados, iguanas, macacos). Tem uma sacada bem legal pra tomar café e ouvir as ondas do mar bem cedinho. Recomendamos o lugar, sobretudo pela atenção dos anfitriões.

Compared to the other properties in the area for the price, everything was perfect. I wish I had read a little more to know there was no a/c but it really wasn’t much of a problem. Lots of properties don’t have a/c in the area. It’s common. Thanks Tina!
