Desiree's property is very beautiful, peaceful and it gives a perfect tranquil experience. We were personally greeted by Desiree. She is very kind, caring, and super hardworking. Everything in the cabin is arranged thoughtfully and tastefully that makes the stay pleasant. Just sitting outside the cabin in the nature is an incredible experience. The lighting brings a magical effect. The sound of the creek, trees, the wooden bridges... everything is just perfect. If you find this place available, you are lucky! Go for it without a second thought. We will certainly visit again.

We’re grateful that Tyler allowed us to stay at his place. It was very clean and close to all of the destinations we hoped to see, including Calaveras Big Trees State Park and White Pines Lake. Tyler’s kitchen was well stocked. After a 4 hour drive, we were very grateful to have so much coffee and popcorn available. The appliance upgrades made the stay even more pleasant. Tyler reached out and made his place available for early check-in without request. He didn’t have to do that. That was very considerate of him. I would gladly stay there again.

4th yearly visit to Arnold during the winter season. This year we visited in April 2025 The Arnold Chalet did not disappoint. Other houses we’ve stayed in were fine but this house was perfect for us. The house had a very modern, clean and simple look with both decor and furniture. The ambiance and feel was very important to us. Ample mood lighting in all the right places. Almost like it came out of a “modern cozy stays in Arnold” magazine. The Chalet stocked an ample supply of three kinds of wood, instructions on best use, starter kits and a wood splitter. That process was super fun and in no time we had a roaring fire. Good WiFi signal, Roku TV had a “guest” function allowing you to stream your apps then “checked you out” at the end of your stay logging you out of all apps. The Chalet had just enough of everything. No clutter simplified the stay & thus the mood. Responsive communication via Airbnb chat & the welcome pdf provided laid everything out. We’d love to stay again.

The place was very comforable for us and at a convenient location to visit nearby (a) Calaveras Big Trees State Park (b) White Pines Lake (c) Moaning Caverns and Mercer Caverns. The necessary amenities were provided. Note that most mobile networks don't work in Arnold city, so be sure to download instructions including the address and entry information, which will only be sent closer to your check-in time.
