Our home is a beautiful all wood home hand built by our family. It is on the Cliffs of the Ca coast and has a blue water view. There are 2 bedrooms, 1.1/2 bathrooms and a futon couch in the living room. There is a full kitchen upstairs, 2 TVs, hard line telephone, and wifi. The Home has a nautical theme. It is very warm and cozy and central to all the fun stuff along the coast: beaches, fishing, diving, artsy towns, whale watching, lighthouses, wineries, golf, Welcome, and enjoy our paradise

Our vacation home is close to the village of Anchor Bay and the town of Gualala. This area of California coast is a hidden gem, where quiet and peace prevail. The home is nestled in the woods but minutes away from countless beaches and spectacular coastline. There are restaurants and dining nearby, plus family-friendly activities, and certainly this is also a truly romantic getaway. Our vacation house is good for couples, families (with kids) and friends looking for a place to connect.

It was a truly wonderful stay at Shangri Lala!The house had everything we needed (appliances, fully stocked kitchen, good internet speed if you need to work remote), was very clean, had a truly beautiful garden with ocean view, ferns, redwood, and a small creek (but yes, please note the pathway to the house is a little steep. I personally loved it! But some folks with mobility issues may find it a little bit challenging). Lots of birds on the property: blue jays, hummingbirds. It was so peaceful that you wouldn’t even mind just staying on the property. But if you leave: so many beautiful places around: Sea Ranch where I saw deer and sheep, gorgeous Gualala Point regional park - do the Bluff trail!, Point Arena town and lighthouse, and Cooks beach - just down the street across the highway. It’s literally 1 min drive, and you can walk as well if you wish. Vacasa Team are great hosts! Thank you for your hospitality.

Absolutely Stunning Stay! This stay was truly memorable. The views were unreal — panoramic ocean vistas and the most breathtaking sunsets right from the property. Every evening felt like a postcard moment. The space was clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. What made the stay even better was the host — incredibly kind, responsive, and thoughtful throughout our visit. Any questions we had were answered almost immediately, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. If you’re looking for a place with unmatched views and a fantastic host, this is it. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay again!

My friends, family, and I loved our stay here! The house was beautiful and I really loved the beach view! 😊 It’s perfect for a weekend get away or a big trip! 🫶💛✨ The kitchen is perfect for making your own food and the balconies allow for that sea breeze to stay with you!🌊 Donna was incredibly helpful and attentive to our messages 🌻 Overall, I would absolutely recommend this adorable home! (Just make sure not to accidentally drive into any of the locals’ driveways)

We enjoyed this stay Mother’s Day weekend, not only was it quiet and peaceful with the hot tub, but it was also the perfect location. Seconds away from the beach, cute little downtown shops and food. Listening to the waves and sea lions at night in the hot tub was just an added bonus! Definitely will stay here again.

Abalone House

This home retains the spirit of what Airbnb once was. It’s not a plasticky lifeless box ran by a management company, it’s a home with all of the character and patina of decades of life spent there. While we only ran into Katherine and Randy a couple of times, their spirit and the spirit of the community are on display in the Abalone House. It was the perfect location to connect with people and place in Gualala. We spent 2/3 of our time in nearby areas and 1/3 cooking, reading, and watching tv in the beautiful living room.
