Monthly Rentals in Alfrick Pound

Stayed for 2 nights with my mum and daughter for a nearby wedding. The layout was great, cosy, and close to parking (ideal for mum). Kitchen was well-stocked and there were welcome snacks, which was a lovely touch. The air fryer was very small — fine for 1–2 people but bring your own if cooking for more. The beds felt like they’d been made a while ago — not dirty, just a bit dusty/stale, so I’d suggest refreshing them closer to check-in. Couldn’t find outdoor seat cushions, but that’s minor. Would recommend for couples or families. Peaceful site with a pub (nice but pricey), kids play area, and red deer you can feed for free. Car needed, but Bromyard is under 10 mins away with shops, takeaways, and pubs. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return for another quiet break.

We had a fabulous few days in Alfrick. Jill was a great host who communicated well prior to our trip. The house was spotlessly clean, quiet and extremely comfortable in all regards. It was also in a great location for exploring the local area. We enjoyed some fantastic walks and the local pubs too! Also enjoyed visiting the community shop for groceries and delicious fresh coffee and cakes. Many thanks Jill 😃.

Goose Cottage was absolutely lovely!! Rebecca also very kindly let us check in early which was great. The cottage had everything we needed and we had been left a lovely welcome pack of fresh local bread, a mix of different eggs, butter, milk and jam! There were even lovely coffee beans in a grinder that Rebecca's husband roasts at home👍. We also got greeted by their dog and three geese! We just loved all of it and would happily stay again.

Thank you to Suzanne for an amazing stay. It was very relaxing, not just because of the location and surroundings, but also because Suzanne provided everything we needed to settle after a long journey. Although we didn’t formally speak, we felt you were there if we needed anything and always responded almost immediately. You provided a lot of useful information including maps for local walks, shops etc. We liked that fact that we could walk out of the lodge and immediately find walking routes in any direction. We also liked that the garden was secure, one of our dogs is a little excitable and it was reassuring to know that she could venture in to the garden without worrying about what she was up to! All amenities were perfectly functional and of good quality. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom with good shower too. Thank you for a lovely stay. I would recommend Suzanne’s place to anyone who likes long scenic walks, relaxing, and escaping their busy lives in a beautiful location.
