We enjoyed our stay at Maria’s beautiful home in the olive grove, it was such a peaceful place to get away.

The little house is lovingly decorated. Perfect for 2 persons. Since the weather was very good, we were always on the covered terrace during the day. Nearby, 10 minutes' walk away, there are some restaurants that offer very good Greek cuisine. We stayed 5 nights in Kato Zakros and felt very comfortable. Shopping is only available in Zakros, 7 km away. Our conclusion: highly recommended.

Maria's house was very comfortable and relaxing. It's just off the main road through the village, with a cafe/restaurant less than a minute away. It's calm and peaceful, and has a nice sunny terrace. The shops of the village (great village store and cooperative bakery) are a short walk, and it's only a few minutes' drive to some wonderful beaches and great hikes. We were able to park outside. Maria was very generous, leaving cookies and raki, as well as some basic supplies. Maria and her husband met us at the door and showed us around. Even though they were in a hurry to leave for family reasons, they waited for us and took the time to give us a tour of the house and explain how things worked, as well as share local recommendations. Maria was so apologetic that they could not be around for the rest of our stay and assured us that we could call if we needed anything. Of course we didn't have to, as everything was perfect, and Maria did take the time to check in with us before we left.

Rebeka’s place is located in a lovely small village surrounded by beautiful wild nature and great beaches. We immediately felt at home in the thoughtfully decorated and very well equipped apartment, there was everything we needed. The neighbours and the people in the village are very friendly. We recommend to enjoy some evening in the taverns in the villages square if you want to get into the local vibe. Rebeka is a wonderful and very responsive host, we really appreciated the local tips and the treats!
