Cottage vacation rentals in York

This was a phenomenal stay! The house was clean and well stocked (e.g. toilet paper, soap, dishes, etc.). The rooms were as posted in the photos, so there were no surprises! Vu was a very responsive and helpful host. When we had trouble with the hot tub, he came down right away and checked the water for us. As a suggestion for those visiting, if you are sensitive to pool chemicals, you should run the hot tub for one cycle before getting in. There were some spatulas that were unclean in the drawer, but this was not of big concern to us as it might have just been missed while cleaning. Location wise, it’s walkable to Crystal Beach and it has some cute shops along the way! Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

The place was incredibly accommodating for the group of 8 of us !! We had a great time hanging out in the backyard and between the kitchen and dining table with the open concept. The place was tidy, clean, and all the amenities were as advertised — would definitely stay again!

My wife and I came to this lakeside cottage right after our marriage for our honeymoon and we were absolutely blown away! From the moment we stepped inside we could see how Nickesha went out of her way in decorating her beautiful cottage to welcome and congratulate us in our marriage. My wife and I would never have expected a host to go so far in making this trip feel so special for us. The house was stunning, clean, well organized and smelled great with a beautiful view of the lake straight from the master bedroom! The view of the lake and watching the stars at night from straight from the hot tub was the highlight for us and made this such a magical honeymoon that we will always remember. We felt right at home here and it was hard packing up to leave at the end of our trip after making such beautiful memories. Thank you Nickesha, it would be a privilege to be able to come here again in the future!

My husband and I enjoyed a getaway here with our pup. The nice-sized, fully fenced-in yard was a highlight for us. The home was very clean, cozy, and in a good location, close to parks, stores, and restaurants (we highly recommend Shore House Bar & Grill which is a 3-min walk from the house).

5 star stay. This was the nicest Airbnb I have stayed at. Walking in to the view of the water was such a perfect entry. The home was spacious and cozy. The kitchen was fully loaded with cooking utensils. We thoroughly enjoyed the bbq, sitting out on the muskoka chairs taking in the view and evenings in the hot tub. The yard was very private and serene. There was a private beach area which was such a plus. I can’t wait to return.

PERFECT STAY EVEN HAD UMBRELLAS WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED I TOOK ALL MY CONDIMENTS BUT THEY HAD SOAP DISHWASHING LIQUID SALR ANS PEPPER THEY EVEN HAD SUGAR AND COFFEE BUT i brought my own Highly recommend this locely home

Robert’s cabin was perfect! We loved it so much that we would consider making another trip from where we live in Seattle just to stay here again. It was so clean and had everything we could want. I just love the vision they had when decorating their space. It was so beautiful. The hot tub was very spacious, we used the gas grill and it worked perfectly, wood was available for a fire, we used their cute seadoo pedal boat, which was so fun! Plenty of kayaks were available. The lake was a dream. We didn’t get to fish but there must be a lot of fish in there because they were constantly jumping out of the water. There were comfy seats all over the yard and a lovely gazebo. The inside was so cozy. Mattress was perfect. I could go on and on about all the things we loved but I’ll just say 10/10 recommend :)

Angie's place was a last minute booking after a host on another site cancelled our original booking the morning of our check-in and we were very grateful to find Angie's place. Angie was accommodating and responsive, the property was clean, instructions for every aspect of the property were clear and available in a binder for reference when we got there, and overall we had a great time. Angie also proactively reached out to offer a later check-out time which we very much appreciated as it gave us more time to enjoy the area and have a calmer check-out. The cost for Angie's place was higher than our original booking but that was an understood consequence of booking last minute. We would very much recommend Angie's place and hope to stay there again in the future!

The Crystal Cottage is such an amazing place! Anne Marie and Norm are such wonderful hosts and go out of their way to make guests feel comfortable. The cottage is in a great location within walking distance to everything and is still very quiet an peaceful. The local people are also fantastic and make guests feel welcome. I highly recommend the Crystal Cottage to other guests and will be back for sure!

Sheila’s place was great. It was just as described; and the perfect spot to start the Great Lakes Challenge!

Fatemah’s cottage had everything our family of five adults needed for a long weekend! The location couldn’t be more perfect, only steps to the lake and so close to the town centre. The cottage was in pristine condition and the host was very responsive and went above and beyond. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful location and the view….wow! Far exceeded our expectations. There were so many areas to hang out that we could all be together or also have quiet time alone to read etc. The hot tub was pristine, beds were so comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Hosts quickly responded to any questions I had before hand and had suggestions of local events. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was awesome. So many thoughtful touches. Would stay again with my friends and would love to return with my family as well. :)

Swanny Lakehouse was the perfect getaway.❤️ The pictures do not do justice for the beauty…inside and out. We booked the location for a peaceful getaway and we experienced one of our favorite vacays so far! I was looking for a last-minute getaway from Toronto with my dog Luna, and Robert was quick to respond and accommodate us. The Airbnb is the perfect cottage -- cozy, thoughtfully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Every detail made it feel warm and welcoming. We enjoyed peaceful walks on the beach and also discovered a lovely trail nearby for Luna to explore. When I accidentally locked myself out of the cottage, Robert was incredibly responsive and showed up within 10 minutes to let us back in. We’re already planning our next trip back — we highly recommend staying at Robert and Cole's!

We are happy about this finding. The house worked perfectly for our needs. It is very well stocked and we had everything we needed. No hiccups and super easy to find. We also felt safe in the area. We will definitely go back!

This place was even more beautiful than the pictures. Three levels of seating to enjoy the lake views. The beds were so comfortable unlike many places. The restaurant Garden Houzz just down the street is a close walk and a hidden gem! We had a rainy cold stay but we enjoyed an amazing time because of the views and amenities.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy, clean, and comfortable place. The entire property, both inside and out, is beautifully designed with great attention to detail and exceptionally well-maintained. Absolutely as described and included all essentials. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and as we love cooking, we especially appreciated the fully equipped kitchen. Even on cooler days, sitting outside with the beautiful view of the canal was a delight. Teraina and Ricard were warm and welcoming hosts. Communication was easy and their responses were always prompt. The personal welcome note was a lovely touch. Thanks Teraina for helping us with days selection . The location is fantastic, with shops and cafes nearby. For those wanting larger retail options, Walmart is just a short drive away. We also enjoyed exploring Port Dover, nice trails and recreation areas nearby. Highly recommended!

This was a great location, with a wonderful lot on Lake Erie. The beds were so comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We were very happy with the accommodations and would reserve again.

Great spot! Lovely place. Super clean and has everything you need. Nice and quiet. Great for a young family because they had lots of toys and puzzles. Also lots of yard space to run and play. Loved that the pier and beach were a short walk away. Dunville was under a 10 minute drive for a few shops and restaurants. We loved our long weekend there and will definitely be back!
