The cabin will sleep 4 people but is best for 2 people. Gas log fireplace, central heat and air, washer and dryer and a small kitchen with new appliances. Relax and unwind on the massive deck with the gas fire pit and a breathtaking view of the beautiful mountains! Conveniently located close to town.

1920's cottage. Relax & enjoy amazing mtn. views, 200 acres of trails, woods, pastures, farm, & fields. HURRICANE HELENE: TRAILS ARE NOT COMPLETELY ACCESSIBLE NOW DUE TO HELENE. Our trails & woods have been ravaged with 100's of trees down. Many trails are still not cleared. Our 1.5 mile upper ridge trail loop and one river trail are now open. Pastures and fields are mostly cleared and all areas around the cottage are completely cleared with amazing long range views of fields and mountains.

Fully furnished with everything you would need for a quiet and peaceful stay in the midst of the mountains. 40 minutes to downtown Asheville for additional shops and dining and a proclaimed arts district.

Step back in time at the Persimmon Farm and Lodge! This picturesque Appalachian cabin was built from on-site materials in 1910 using traditional log and stone architecture. Today it boasts modern amenities while maintaining rustic mountain charm. This special farm features breathtaking mountain views, walking trails, a small playground, an outdoor fire pit, pastured chickens, organic gardens, and orchards you can harvest from. Each of the four bedrooms has its own full en-suite bathroom.

The Yummy Mud Puddle has a great view of the Black mountains. Nearby are restaurants, family-friendly activities, live theater, contemporary crafts, hiking, river sports, art, and music. You’ll love the Puddle because of the peace and quiet, the deck, the comfy beds, and the nature. All are welcome including kids and well behaved dogs under 75 pounds. John and I live down the hill from the rental and are both full time artists. Our gallery and studios are open whenever we are home.
