A room where you can feel Fuji beautiful , close!!

AlexRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a beautiful stay in Kawaguchiko. The inn is a perfect space - a family home for generations, now serving a great purpose as a resting place for travellers. A beautiful space, with many rooms and accommodation for small or large groups. We felt like we were staying with old friends. The rooms are simple - tatami mats and futons - but functional and cozy. We had an unbelievable view of Mt Fuji from our bedroom, and the location is very well situated for activities, food and drinking. Bicycles were provided for a cycle around lake Kawaguchiko, and Tohru kindly provided a map of local recommendations, including some restaurants where we were able to find vegetarian food. Tohru and his family were incredibly kind to us, driving us to and from the station and even giving us some souvenir postcards of Tohru's photography in the local area. This is our favourite place to stay on our trip to Japan! Thank you Tohru and family!

Modern Japanese Farmhouse Experience

AdamRating, 5 stars6 months ago
A rural retreat, off the tourist path, but easily accessible by train from Tokyo. We were keen for some rural Japan after quite a few stops in urban centres. The house is in a quiet, unspoilt setting. You can do short walks from the house that can include views of Mount Fuji down the valley. There's other places you can pop into too, such as the Owl Cafe or the wonderful deli/shop at the petrol station up the road. The house itself has kept its rustic and traditional appearance and features, while also having very functional equipment, from Wifi to everything you'd need for cooking. Some great places to read and relax in, from the garden to by the wood burner. We did not have car which was fine - it's just 6 minutes by taxi from the station, but a car would allow you to explore further afield. Ryo the host was very helpful with answering questions rapidly and clearly. I would highly recommend!

MY favorite room is the view of Fuji and sukura

Tohru was an excellent host, he picked us up from Kawaguchiko station and dropped us off as well. He even gave us a map on his personal recommendations in Kawaguchiko. On our departure, he left us with a few postcards of pictures he had personally taken of Kawaguchiko. Regarding the room, it was as described in the listing and the bathrooms were very clean. I highly recommend his inn to anyone who wants to visit Kawaguchiko

SARUYA - Twin Room #8 in Modern Traditional Hostel

AlexanderRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We enjoyed our stay very much. The hostel was very clean and cozily furnished in Japanese style. The bathroom was very clean and the kitchen was even equipped with tea and coffee as well as dishes for the guests. We were also able to sleep well. However, the mattresses were very saggy and seemingly a little older. This could be an issue for people with back pain. However, this did not bother us personally. We would book the AirBnb again anytime.

Mt.fuji view corner room ! ! (private & quiet)

Tohru was such a great host. He picked us up and dropped us off at the station, which was so kind. He always had a smile on his face and was so happy to point out all the best places to visit around the lake. Bikes were free to use and a great way to easily get around the Lake. The apartment is very close to the Lake as well as a handful of restaurants and shops. Perfect location for seeing Fuji. On our last morning Tohru kindly gifted us postcards with pictures of Fuji he had taken that morning, which was so thoughtful. Such a memorable experience! Would highly recommend. 10/10
