This property is stunning - keeps the vibe of a traditional Japanese building with a perfect modern touch. Perfect for a family but a car is definitely required to explore the area.

The location is close to the main road, there are many restaurants around, there is also a supermarket. This house have 2 floors is quite comfortable for 13 of us, 6 adults and also 7 children. All bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. There are 4 rooms here, we only use 3 rooms is enough, there is still 1 room with a tent to play. And 1 toilet near stairs. On the 1st floor there is a kitchen, dining room, bathroom, toilet, and a large playroom. Outside the house there is a large yard, suitable for children to play Unfortunately we arrived here at night and only slept overnight, the next morning we had to continue our journey so we couldn't enjoy the facilities

Beautiful place secluded in privacy and serene. Place is well designed , clean , all amenities provided. Good place to stay with family and a place definitely recommended for stay. The view of Mount Fuji is just so stunning !

Tomoko's place has an absolute stunning view for Mount Fuji, and it only takes 1 minute to the yamanaka lake. we wake up at 6am, and are able to see the reflection of Mount Fuji in the lake.

Great location to all amenities and transportation, with a 7-11 up the street. This was a great spot for privacy and a home base within the area. highly recommended

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Fuji Irodori. From the check in to our stay and to the check out, everything was clearly instructed with no confusion. The villa has all the amenities and things that were listed in the information and we really felt at home. The biggest plus in the forever Mt. Fuji view right outside the kitchen and the sitting area outside. With the cherry blossom tree as well, the view was really picturesque. Like everyone has mentioned, the turning to the entrance of the road is quite tight but I was able to manage it with Toyota Noah and it’s manageable as long as you are vigilant. Definitely my must stay place, if I’m ever in the locality.

We had a wonderful stay at Jiro's House. The host was friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and were responsive to any queries we had. We enjoyed having the garden as it is a lovely and peaceful area. The house amenities were plentiful and it was a comfortable stay. Thank you for a amazing stay 😊

A rural retreat, off the tourist path, but easily accessible by train from Tokyo. We were keen for some rural Japan after quite a few stops in urban centres. The house is in a quiet, unspoilt setting. You can do short walks from the house that can include views of Mount Fuji down the valley. There's other places you can pop into too, such as the Owl Cafe or the wonderful deli/shop at the petrol station up the road. The house itself has kept its rustic and traditional appearance and features, while also having very functional equipment, from Wifi to everything you'd need for cooking. Some great places to read and relax in, from the garden to by the wood burner. We did not have car which was fine - it's just 6 minutes by taxi from the station, but a car would allow you to explore further afield. Ryo the host was very helpful with answering questions rapidly and clearly. I would highly recommend!

I visited in April. The living room was a comfortable and stylish space, and the bedroom was a renovated Japanese-style room that had been used for many years, and it was a relaxing space where you could feel Japanese culture (it reminded me of my grandparents' house).Also, the washroom and bathroom were very clean. There was a bakery and a supermarket nearby, so there was no trouble with a little shopping.It was also nice to be able to enjoy local cuisine unique to the area, such as "Hoto", at a nearby restaurant.There is also a park nearby, and I didn't use it this time because I only ran in the park, but there are a variety of activities such as athletics, so it seems that there are many opportunities to interact with nature.Also, a short walk away, at the hot springs on the mountain, I was able to enjoy a superb view overlooking the city. The basketball court, which is an ancillary facility, is clean and authentic, with quality that can satisfy everyone from beginners to those aiming to be pros.I've been a basketball fan for a long time living in Tokyo, but I don't think I've seen a court of this quality.There were also plenty of types of balls (sizes), so it was perfect for casually enjoying with family and friends.It was also a great experience to spend a relaxing time feeling the wind on the wooden deck after exercising. The host was very friendly, and it was a great help that he suggested recommended spots and activities nearby.I am truly grateful for the attention to detail.I visited with friends this time, but next time I'd like to visit with family.

Hirotake-san was such a responsive and accommodating host. We had a few last minute changes and Hirotake-san was gracious enough to help us. The accommodation was perfect for our group of people and we all enjoyed a very comfortable and relaxing stay. We would definitely recommend this property for future trips and we will tell all our friends to stay here because Hirotake-san is so helpful.

We very much enjoyed our stay here ! The house is very large with 4 bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, bath tubs both indoors and outdoors and everything you need for a fantastic holiday. It is located in a peaceful forest area away from the crowds. If you have a dog, there are also plenty of facilities for your pet. Very easy to get from the house to Lake Kawaguchi and Chureito Pegoda, the 7 seas of Oshino, many temples, gardens, museums and also the F1 racetrack. If you have a car, this home is a perfect base to get everywhere. We really felt at home and enjoyed that everyone had their own bedroom with comfortable beds.

It was a retro atmosphere like an old house and a Showa-like accommodation.

In addition to the sauna and open-air bath facilities, the location was great!The building itself was also very clean, and I felt that this was the ideal villa! Amenities and convenience goods were placed everywhere, and it was a very good stay where you could feel the owner's care! Everything was really great, so I will definitely be back!

The view of Mt. Fuji from the living room is absolutely stunning on the sunny day. The house is nestled in the middle of the woods, and we even spotted deer in the backyard! There’s a small staircase leading up to the first floor, so carrying heavy luggage might take a bit of effort. Just a heads-up: There’s only 1 bathroom in the house.

This villa was a true gem and one of the most relaxing stays we’ve had in Japan. Tucked away in a quiet, beautifully wooded area of Hakone, it offers just the right kind of seclusion — peaceful and private, yet still convenient. The highlight, without question, is the 24-hour private natural hot spring right in the house. It’s easy to use, deeply relaxing, and a rare luxury we truly appreciated after long days out. The house itself is spacious, well thought out, and incredibly comfortable, with multiple bathrooms and sinks that make it easy for groups to settle in without getting in each other’s way. The heating system was excellent — we stayed during a cold and rainy night, but the entire home stayed warm and cozy throughout. The ambiance is tranquil, the design classic and calming, and every corner felt clean and cared for. We left refreshed and already dreaming of our next stay.

Check-in was also flexible, and I was able to relax in a private space right away.There were houses around, but the sauna and semi-outdoor bath area had a private feel and I was able to relax without worrying about people watching at all.The bath was wonderful, and I was able to enjoy an extraordinary experience many times a day while listening to the sound of birds.For meals, there is a supermarket called Hinawari Ichiba less than 10 minutes away by car, and I went there twice during my stay to procure carefully selected ingredients and sweets.All the ingredients, vegetables and meat, were fresh.I rented a pizza oven, so I thought I'd make it myself from scratch, but the pizza at the Hibiki Market was so delicious and there were so many varieties, so I really enjoyed it.I took my dog with me, and it was really fun to have fun both outside and inside.There was only one small train with 2-3 cars running in front of us every hour, and there were almost no passengers, so it felt like we were in a fairytale land.I'd like to go play again.
