A peaceful jungle retreat with all the essentials We had a lovely stay at this beautiful jungle home, surrounded by nature and wildlife – we saw plenty of iguanas during the day and even spotted a couple of scorpions and a small snake at night (to be expected given the location, but worth noting!). The house is compact but well-equipped with everything you need. Facilities are excellent, and the space was more than adequate for a comfortable stay. Despite some previous reviews, we did have hot water – the shower handle is just reversed, so turn it to “cold” for hot! There were a few power outages during our stay, which is fairly common in the area. One outage lasted several hours, so keep that in mind when stocking up the fridge. Our host was fantastic – super responsive and helpful throughout. That said, an information booklet covering things like the shower, local amenities, and how to manage during power cuts would have been really helpful and saved a few messages. The bed shee

It was a pleasure to be hosted by James. His attention to detail was impeccable and his above and beyond approach to looking after his guests was spot on. The property was as described and the location was a reasonable distance from the Beach. He informed me ahead of time that a vehicle would be suggested, but the 15 minute walk to the beach was at times utilized as well. The home was well stocked with eating utensils, spices and cookware. A washing machine was a nice addition for guests as well. James was very thorough in informing me of where the home is located inside of the large master planned community. I was able to go directly to the home using his directions. The community was a pleasure to be in as I was able to meet guests who were staying at some of the neighboring hotels on site and some of the guests who were enjoying the golf course. An easy 20 minute ride to the heart of Tulum makes the location desirable. Expect a 1 hr drive from the Tulum airport.

If you are looking for a quiet get away this is your place!! This was by far our favorite Airbnb on our trip to Mexico!! The jungle road looks unsafe but the GPS is correct. Just keep following. It is safe! Just keep going!! Then once you get there the Airbnb is an oasis in the jungle! We enjoyed this Airbnb better than an all inclusive resort in Cancun!!
