Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Worthing

From the moment I stepped into the house and met the host Jane, everything felt warm and welcoming. Jane is an incredibly nice and kind person. She proactively ask if I needed any help and kindly introduced places to visit nearby. She even invited me to attend her friend’s birthday dinner. Every morning, she thoughtfully prepared a healthy breakfast, including fruit salad, toast, coffee and more. Location: It was very easy to find the house by following the map from the train station. The room is located in a small alley just off the main street in the heart of Lewes, surrounded by lots of great restaurants and cafés. The weekend farmer’s market is just a one-minute walk away. I saw someone asking whether the house is warm enough — don’t worry. It can be chilly in Lewes during spring, but Jane keeps the heating on all the time. If you still feel cold, there's also a portable heater available. I didn’t need to use it, because it was already warm enough. I really loved staying here.

Carol and Clive were very welcoming and nothing was any trouble. The cottage is querky and full of character with a lovely back garden next to the river and with beautiful views of the countryside. Check in was flexible and easy to arrange. It is a lovely village and Carol's place is central and walkable to local pubs. I had a lovely time and would return to explore the area more.

John & Mandy were great host. They kept our rooms ready with fresh towels and napkins. The space is filled with personal pictures and has a great character of its own. John was kind to make us proper English breakfast and made us feel really comfortable and special throughout our stay.

Chris is an amazing host. We have been several times at his cottage and he has become a friend. Chris is so engaging, very attentive and a fab host. His house is a real gem in Sussex.

Janet was friendly, welcoming and interesting to talk to. I met Andrew briefly at breakfast and he was friendly and nice to talk to also. The room and en suite bathroom were comfortable. The continental breakfast was a nice touch and appreciated. Good to have a dedicated workspace and off road parking as well. There is no view over the Goodwood motor racing circuit or racecourse from the room but Janet said there is from somewhere not very far from the house. There is a bit of a view from the window of the downs beyond the housing. The place was clean and attractive and a good place to spend the night. I'd be happy to stay there again.

Francis and Margaret were excellent hosts, very personable, with the accommodation as described. I'd definitely recommend and be a returning guest.

Jayne Ann's place is terrific -- neat as a pin, filled with interesting artwork, a socialble and gracious host, and a short walk to the station or the city center. Couldn't be better!

Andrew is a super experienced host and he makes everything he can to let you feel at home. He's keen of his home and the surrounding area, which is pristine and enjoyable. Have had a pleasant staying.

Thank you Bev for such a pleasant stay. We had a wedding at Southlands barn which was only a 6 min drive away from the b&b, perfect location! The room was clean, spacious and Bev really had thought of everything you might need being available in there. I was particularly grateful for the coffee machine and makeup wipes 😍 The breakfast was healthy and again, just what was needed. Thanks for being such a welcoming and thoughtful host!! I had the most relaxing and wonderful stay! The countryside, the cosy homely house, the fresh bread and honey from their hive, the comfy bed, the warm welcome, the birdsong…. and the kittens, together create a home from home feeling. This is the perfect stay for peace, relaxation and connection with nature. Cannot recommend this host enough!

We were after a relaxing break and that’s exactly what we got. Elaine is a keen gardener and her garden was beautiful. We relaxed watching the garden birds whilst sitting on the amazing window seat. Elaine’s attention to detail is second to none. Elaine made immediate contact and responded promptly to any requests for local advice. She asked about food intolerances and I said so long as there’s plenty of tea and milk we’ll be fine - what a selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolate, milk, jams, marmalade’s, butter, natural yoghurt, orange juice, fresh fruit and the most delicious homemade bread. Elaine and her husband were the perfect hosts and we will be looking to return here in the future. Everything is as described. Would highly recommend. Thank you Elaine and Bruce for your hospitality. Sarah is the perfect hostess, friendly, funny, always helpful with great tips for things to do in the area. We immediately felt so warmly welcome in her cute house, the rooms were cosy and the beds comfortable. She prepared an excellent breakfast with a view into the wonderful garden. Great hosts. Very welcoming to us all. Home was immaculate, Rooms were lovely and spacious, just what we needed for a weekend away. Great location, not too far to walk into Hove and to carry on into Brighton. Available at any point if we had any issues (which we didn't) , you didn't even realise they were in the house. Continental Breakfast available which was ideal before a day out. Thank you for being great hosts and welcoming us into your home.

Carole and Mark could not have been more welcoming. The facilities were lovely and the beds were very comfortable. It was so nice to have breakfast things provided and the use of a small fridge. It was handy to be able to park right outside the bungalow. Location was perfect (and easy to find being next to a windmill), with Eastbourne only minutes away in the car and the coast in genera close by. We felt looked after without our hosts being intrusive and they were on hand if we had any questions. We very much hope to go back.

It was a last minute panic for us to find somewhere to stay due to a weekend event taking place and we needed to change our accommodation. We found Briar Glenn and the price was very reasonable for such a busy weekend. It did not disappoint. The accommodation was a family room and was superb for us in every way. Everything from hosts who were warm, friendly and helpful, to a superb full English which is served at weekends in their kitchen. Jane and Graham treated us like proper guests with a bit of chat and banter whilst cooking breakfast. It really was a B&B experience that makes you wish more of them could be like. Thank you Jane and Graham. Sorry you didn’t get to see the ISS this morning!

A great, peaceful place to stay at, situated by the river with beautiful surroundings and sounds of nature at your window. Kristina is a friendly person and hospitable. Her house is very welcoming.

Izabela was extremely quick at responding and especially with a last minute request. The place looked like it brand new when we walked in. There was a book with all the info needed and it was perfect for what I wanted.

Lucy’s home is delightful. And the room was fantastic. Roomy, beyond generous amenities such as tea and toaster and more, clean, easy to get to and close to the active town of Petersfield. All in all one of the top Airbnb stays I’ve experienced. I want to return home and make shifts to my Airbnb room based on what I’ve experienced w Lucy.

We loved our stay at Lordington Park for my husband’s birthday weekend. Harriet and the staff were very welcoming and looked after us and our two sausage dogs. The room was beautiful and we loved the gardens, particularly as there were plenty of areas for the dogs to run around and let off some energy. We would highly recommend a visit!

Trish has been a great host, the house was spotless and she has provided so many little extra's that you just do not normally get. I will defiantly look to stay again when back working in the area.

I used Linda’s place as a place to stay the night before the Brighton Marathon. It was the perfect distance to Brighton and a very easy drive with lots of different routes. The parking spot provided was very safe and we felt very welcome by Linda and her husband and their dog Monti. If you’re visiting Brighton or the surrounding areas it’s perfect.

A lovely, characterful home and an ideal base from which to explore Hartfield and Winnie-the-Pooh country. The bedroom was large and clean, with a huge and very comfortable bed. Val was a friendly and welcoming host. We would thoroughly recommend this place and we would be very happy to stay there again.

As we drove through the double wooden gates, we were in awe by the grandeur of this delightful thatched home with its welcoming Xmas decorations outside and carefully selected decor in every nook. A delicious spread of food awaited us each morning, and we were privy to Chris’s famous orange marmalade. What surprised me was the attention to detail including olives/feta knowing my heritage. A true festive treat was having Xmas crackers on our last morning. Michele’s attention to detail was impeccable. She is such a gem. 💎 However all that aside, what will make our stay forever memorable was our lovely hosts Michele and Chris. We truly loved our conversations each morning. They both created such a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. We came in as guests but we have left as friends. We truly hope we come back again. If Airbnb gave awards to the best hosts, Michele and Chris would win hands down. 🏆
