What a lovely cottage! Julie and Nigel's cottage is a real home from home, and it matches the photographs perfectly. Thoughtfully decorated, and made to feel homely with blankets, pictures, books etc. Homemade bread and delicious muffins, plus milk and tea and good coffee were most welcome. I appreciated the use of Eco friendly cleaning products and shampoos etc. Comfortable bed with cotton duvet cover and comfy pillows. Big, fluffy towels were great. There are maps and suggestions of places to visit and eat. Julie sent me some recommendations too which were helpful. Friendly neighbours who are keen to share information too. It is perfect for two people - and our dog was made ever so welcome too. Julie and Nigel were responsive to messages right from booking to the end of our stay. We've had a fabulous stay in Joanna's house in Wooler. Such a handy location, really close to the high street with shops cafe's pubs etc and a late opening co-op which is really handy. But still tucked away. It was easy to find and a fabulous location for exploring the parts of Northumberland we were visiting. Joanna gave great clear instructions and it was easy to get in and use things in the house. There was everything we needed. The house was exceptionally clean and absolutely no sign or smell of animals having visited. The bunk bed room was small but the bed was comfy for an adult and bright with a big window. The double room was spacious and light. All in all a great place to stay.

A really comfy and cosy cottage right in the heart of the village, but still a quiet and peaceful location. The bed was comfortable (only used the master bedroom) and the room spacious. The whole place had a calm atmosphere which was just what we were looking for. Great location for exploring North Northumberland and the Borders. I'd recommend this place heartily.

This is the third time we have stayed at Walker Walls and we had another fabulous weekend as always. The place is ideal for families. We loved the walks around the house and visited the town centre for a beautiful meal at Milan restaurant. We will definitely return.
