What a wonderful stay! The yard is perfect for relaxing and for our pups. This stay has everything you could need. It is only a short drive to Asheville, and there is an Ingles market super close. Beth was very friendly and a great host. We would absolutely come back and stay here again :)

My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary and had the perfect time there. It was very peaceful and quiet. The place was easy to find, very clean, and great quality kitchenware. We recognized a lot of IKEA items. We really enjoyed grilling steaks that we got at a local butcher right down the ride, recommended by the host. We also really enjoyed the very clean jacuzzi. This place was just 25 minutes from downtown Asheville, and about an hour and a half from The Pretty Place Chapel, where we got married. There are hikes only a few minutes away where we got to see wild roaming cows at a top of a mountain. We also took a drive to go see Dry Falls waterfalls and it was the most beautiful waterfall we have ever seen. All in all , it was a perfect getaway. Definitely recommend this place.

Amazing view, very spacious, brand new Sauna and lovely host!

We enjoyed our stay! Our golden retrievers especially loved all the grass to roll around in and to be able to swim in the pond. The owners and everyone on the property were nice. We really enjoyed the sunset trail by their home as well! One of our favorite ways to end the night was relaxing in the hot tub.

The house was beautiful and comfortable. It had snowed the day before we arrived, so we did not use the deck, but it was lovely. The beds were comfy, and the pillows were the best I've had at any Airbnb. The private road to the house is narrow and winding, but Google Maps worked great to get us there. A portion of the road had washed out during Hurricane Helene, so I was glad I had all wheel drive to get through that section. The house was well provisioned with essential spices and such.

"Modern cabin" is a modest description ... I would call this a mountain retreat! There were four of us (two couples), but the home would have easily accommodated eight. The design of the house was well thought out and roomy, and the decor was stylish and tasteful. It did not seem like a rental. The kitchen was fully equipped. Thick towels and a bubbly hot tub awaited our arrival, and the Saturday morning scones & hot chocolate were a delightful treat! Perfect spot for a remote get-away, but still just 20 minutes from downtown Ashville and many other attractions. We could not have been happier with this "cabin"!

We had an amazing stay at this cabin. The check in and out was super easy. The hosts were understanding, accommodating, and responsive. The cabin itself had games for us on a rainy day, was clean, in a great peaceful location. Would definitely come back!

If you want that feeling of “disappearing” from the world but only have time to get 30 minutes off the interstate this is the place!

I have to admit that I am not the best at writing reviews after staying at airbnbs, but this one was especially great for our family. We were traveling with our baby and 2 dogs, and we found the space very peaceful and well suited for us. I loved their fence for the dogs and the way the bedroom and living area is situated. Would highly recommend and will be coming back!

Kelly Greeted us as we drove up. She glided out of the house looking like Glenda the good witch in Wizard of Oz. So beautiful and kind. She then guided us and our behemoth surburban into her parking spot, which took up too much room, but she was a gracious as could be. The apt is around back and has a lovely green backyard. The apt is so cool with all the black light posters and wall paintings. We absolutely loved it. We could open the windows and get fresh air. An easy walk to so many restaurants and a great place for our dog to relax and sniff the yard. This place was one of our better stays. We truly loved it. And hey you’re in Asheville, what could be better??

It’s such a calm place. I enjoyed sitting on the couch each morning, drinking coffee and watching the horses across the way. The coffee the hosts provided was delicious. The bed was very comfortable. The hosts were welcoming, their old dog was very sweet, and the few glimpses and sounds of an active and loving family made me nostalgic for old times, when my children were young.

Perfect space in a perfect place. Stunning views. Total privacy with easy access to stores, restaurants, and all the outdoor activities available in the greater Ashville area. We were so enamored with the property, however, that we spent most of our time there. Claire was extremely responsive and helpful, and the house was clean and ready to enjoy upon arrival. There is a notebook of information about the house and the property; it also contains suggestions for area activities and businesses. We would return without hesitation. We were sad to leave!

Had a wonderful stay at this cabin in the woods. Very quiet and peaceful, just what we needed after a long day at our workshop. Will definitely stay here again.

We stay in Asheville a lot and this place has become our new favorite spot. It is quiet, comfy and has a large space for two people and a dog. The yard space is very private and you feel like you have your own space/ home. We appreciated the clean/new towels and linens.

A pristine home in an amazing private community. Full equipped with kitchen, bath, and extras. Always great recommendations and responsive to questions. Highly recommend for families that enjoy nature and privacy.

We had a great time at the Lazy Bear Lodge! It was so nice to be able to relax and unwind for the weekend surrounded by the peaceful mountains. Lovely home and equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Thank you guys for a wonderful time!

Exceeded our expectations! Jody and Shaun were so nice and very accomodating with their beautiful cabin. Every thing you would want they had in the cabin as in dishes, cookware, coffee, etc... Jody's place was so tastefully decorated and the bed was absolutely plush and the shower was very nice, sizeable and with great water pressure. The pool and hot tub were so much fun and although we didn't use the firepit it was the best set up I have seen. Truly, this was about the best Airbnb we have stayed at! Jody and Shaun are so down to earth and very communicative. I highly 10 out 10 recommend! We can't wait to come back!

I cannot recommend this property enough! From the moment I stepped inside, I was blown away by how clean and spacious the home was. The cleanliness stood out the most—everything was spotless and fresh, which made the stay so much more enjoyable. The hosts clearly take pride in maintaining their property to the highest standard. Wonderful place to stay with family and friends. Great kitchen with all the necessities to cook with while you’re there! Plenty of pantry and storage space to bring your own food. Definitely follow their GPS instructions and address they give you in separate email. It gets dark out there so keep that in mind when arriving. Minutes away from WCU and beautiful gated community We will be back!
