Cottage vacation rentals in Wiveton

Lovely little cottage in a lovely area of the country. We were down to visit a friend and watch a local theatrical production but we also managed to do some walking in beautiful woodlands that were just a few minutes drive away. East Harling is a very pleasant walk away - but probably not at night - as part of the walk is on unlit roads with no pavements. Possibly a little unfairly, the location review was dropped a star for this. Mary was very friendly, responsive and provided comprehensive and accurate information. All-in-all it’s a lovely bright little cottage in a lovely tranquil location ….. I nearly forgot the hot tub - lovely touch - clean and a very welcome mode of relaxation.

We had a really lovely break as a family of 2 adults and our 4 (tween/teenage) kids and dog at Hope cottage. The house was lovely & clean and had everything we needed, with enough space for everyone to relax. The area is beautiful, with plenty of lovely beaches, walks, little towns/villages to explore, pubs & restaurants within easy reach. The park in the village was also a big hit with our kids! The house was private, and not overlooked. Unfortunately, we had a few little things go wrong during our stay, but Amelia was great in communicating with us throughout and sorted everything as quickly as possible. It didn’t spoil our time away at all and we would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone. The hot tub was an extra treat after being out in the afternoon. Thanks very much Amelia 😊

We stayed at forestry cottage for the weekend for my mums 70th birthday. The cottage was so homely and comfortable and a really good size for 7 people. Hosts were very accommodating and responsive, little touches like doggy treats and supplies (we bought our family dog) and balloons, party poppers and a happy birthday banner was left for my mum which was a really nice touch! The cottage is set in the most beautiful/peaceful place with decent walks around the lake. All in all we had a very lovely stay, would 100% recommend.

We spent a lovely extended weekend at the barn visiting our family in Norfolk. The barn was clean, warm and comfortable and had everything that we needed. Jill and Phil were friendly and welcoming and check-in and check-out were easy. The super-king sized bed was comfy and the hot tub was an added bonus after a busy couple of days with the grandchildren.

Lovely cosy cottage located close to all the shops and restaurants in Holt. Cosy beds and sofa. Great to have a drive to park the car, and easy to get to lots of great locations for walking and the beach. We didn’t use the hot tub as it didn’t feel like it was in a private enough spot, but this is just personal preference. Great hosts, thank you so much.

We had the most wonderful time! The property is absolutely gorgeous to roam around and the house is really comfortable, well equipped and beautiful to stay in. Highly recommend!

The property was in superb condition, spotless and immaculately clean and presented. All fixtures and fittings were of great quality and there was a lovely welcome pack to greet us, containing local cakes, biscuits and so forth. We met Cindy and her husband Mark when they came to service the hot tub and they are delightful people. We spent time chatting during which they recommended restaurants, one of which we used (Buckinghamshire Arms) where we enjoyed Sunday lunch. Overall, a great experience, top notch Airbnb.

Very comfortable, spacious and well equipped cottage with lovely surroundings. Dog friendly too. Great to see such well cared for and happy hens wandering around too.

Just as it's pictured, weather was kind and made the house even more inviting. I was wowed when we pulled up the drive! I did have to check that I had booked somewhere with a secure garden and was pleasantly surprised once we turned up and saw the gardens, low fences but held in 3 springy Frenchies with no issues. Everything you need and more. Lots of lovely villages to visit. Dog walks on the doorstep. Already looking at when we can book again. Even considering hiring a boat too. Liz was great with instructions and local information. Highly recommend the Thatch cottage.

A beautiful cottage in the perfect location. 20-30 mins from every major place you could want to go. Cosy and homely with a lovely sunny garden. Private and secure, a real Norfolk countryside stay! We loved our stay, everything we needed was provided and Scott gave us all the information we needed to allow easy check in. We can’t wait to come back again, hopefully for longer next time. We had a lovely time at Nick and Liz’s cottage with our kids. It was a great base to explore around Norfolk. The view across the fields was really peaceful. Liz was really helpful with local recommendations for pubs and places to explore.

Just loved everything about this little place. The property was spacious yet cosy. Everything anyone could need was provided and parking just outside the door was so convenient.

A lovely place to stay and explore this part of Norfolk. We enjoyed having the beach right behind the cottage and regularly saw a seal close to the shore. It was so handy being able to walk back to the cottage to grab food and drinks or pop to the beach first or last thing without getting in the car. Having bikes was great as we enjoyed cycling to Sea Palling. Beds comfy, sofa with farm scenery was great for chilling, good WiFi, dog friendly and a secure garden - this cottage had it all.

We had such a wonderful stay at Albert’s Cottage. It’s in a perfect place to visit places easily and is easy to get to and park up. Imogen was helpful and recommended some great places to visit. The cottage was equipped with everything you need for a great break. Would love to come back sometime soon.

A beautiful bolt-hole away from everything including the internet with stunning marsh views and dark skies. To see Marsh Harriers was wonderful. Wood burner kept us cosy and the enclosed garden was heaven for our dog. Walks to the two pubs in Surlingham (one at Coldham Hall closed during the week off season) and easy drives into Norwich and surroundings. An outdoor shooting club right next door operates on Thursday am and Sunday mid-morning so you may want to plan to be out then - large red flags show when it is happening. At other times it is SO peaceful. We stayed for 10 days and began to miss a bath and washing machine, but not a problem for shorter stays. Old Hall Farm Shop at Woodton, the Wildebeest at Stoke Holy Cross and the new Michelin star at Caistor Hall as well as foodie Norwich mean eating out possibilities are endless. Pip left delicious eggs from her own hens.

Thank you both so much for an amazing weekend away. We cannot speak highly enough of the cottage, the garden, the scenery and our wonderful hosts. The cottage itself is beautifully presented. Everything is immaculately clean and tidy, all provided equipment and consumables are of very high quality. We really appreciated the welcome gifts and snacks! We loved seeing the chickens and Merlin the dog (so cute), as well as the abundance of birds in the garden area each day. This is the perfect setting for a peaceful break away. Diane and Colin were very welcoming and kind. We'll definitely be back in future.

Very much enjoyed our stay. Perfect location to visit nearby National Trust places and the coast. The property is a cosy but spacious cottage with the facilities you would expect at home. Diana was responsive and helpful in answering our questions. The information pack supplied in the cottage was very good and the welcome pack of ‘goodies’ much appreciated. We would happily stay again.

We had a very nice three nights stay at smithy cottage which is in an ideal rural location near to Norwich and the Broads. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen is very well equipped. Tanya is an excellent host and provided a welcome pack of wine, a range of nibles, cereals, eggs and milk.

Beautiful surroundings, loved being around all the nature, felt very private and tranquil. Would definitely recommend it to friends in the future and would stay here again when visiting Norwich

Lovely cottage with everything you could need for a country getaway. All points of interest seem to be a 15 minute drive so you definitely need a car if coming. Beaches are huge and the countryside is gorgeous.

We had such a lovely stay in the cottage! It’s a beautiful and peaceful spot. The children loved playing in the garden and there were lots of little outside spots to sit and enjoy a little sun. Conveniently close to Cromer and lots of other nearby beaches. We had lots to keep us busy. The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and the perfect place to relax and unwind.

This is a hidden gem. Fiona is an amazing host with her lovely labs Amber & Poppy. The cottage was warm and had an extremely comfortable and vast bed with very high quality bedding. A huge bath and tons of hot water. The cottage is very peaceful with walks all around yet under 10 mins from the excellent farm shop in Little Walsingham, and the superb Three Horseshoes Inn in Warham. Burnham Market is nearby as is Holt, and NT and English Heritage properties abound locally, as do stunning ancient churches and delightful villages like Cley-next-the -Sea with a very fine gallery, a large pottery, grocers and a range of pubs. The property has a fenced garden with wrought iron table and chairs which was ideal for eating outside. Fiona was delightful and you see as little or as much of her as you wish; the Round House is quite private. I can thoroughly recommend it and will certainly return! Ideal for lovely North Norfolk.

Had a fantastic few days at John's lovely bungalow. It was pristine and had everything you could possible need. Would definitely love to come back!
