Monthly Rentals in Winster

We spent a lovely, peaceful Christmas at The Croft .. a cosy cottage in a picturesque village with two great pubs and excellent community-run shop .. a good location for walking and for visits to nearby Bakewell and Chatsworth. The well equipped kitchen with its range cooker was a real bonus for cooking Christmas lunch. The large utility room is useful to store walking gear and the cosy sitting area off the kitchen leads out into the garden .. beautiful views and safely enclosed for our dog. A log burner in the main sitting room was perfect for the winter evenings .. logs and kindling readily available from the village shop. Both bedrooms are good sizes with lovely views and the bathroom is spacious with large walk-in shower and separate bath. The Croft’s location is lovely and quiet. We were able to unload the car outside the cottage and park a short walk away up on East Bank. Alison is an excellent host .. we would very happily return .. and recommend. Thank you!

Had a brilliant Easter Weekend at Rods cottage! We were able to park our car and get in and out of Winster easily as needed. Loved the Miners & Bowling Green pubs for meals and drinks, an easy walk to and from the cottage. Enjoyed the gorgeous garden when the sun cleared up, beautiful outlook. The cottage itself was exactly the English Countryside Experience us Aussies were after, so beautiful, well kept, and well decorated. Would definitely come back to Winster!!!! The only thing I'd say is remember to duck if you're over 5'11 as we knocked heads a couple of times in the doorways downstairs!

Well what a beautiful little cosy cottage, perfect for a little escape! Honeyspot cottage has everything you need. We didn't need to ask our hosts for anything. The information guide provided has everything you may need to know. Alistair sent us a message before we arrived and came to greet us when we did, informing us he had also provided a little bottle of milk to get us started, which was unexpected and very lovely. The village of Winster is a stunning picturesque place and the local village shop has the nicest local produce, which we indulged in for our breakfasts. A visit to Chatsworth house is a must and if you love Italian food, Il Lupo an Italian run restaurant, which is about a 20 minute drive from Winster, is also a must visit, the best Italian food we have had that wasn't in Italy! We (me, my wife and our dog) had a fantastic stay in Winster. Katie was a great host, responded to queries quickly and provided some excellent local tips. The property is a dream for a couple and a dog. Comfortable, peaceful and in an idyllic spot. Winster is a beautiful village and perfect if you like walking. There were so many wonderful places to walk to straight from the front door - Robin Hood's Stride and the nearby hermit's cave were particularly special. I can't recommend the location, or Katie, highly enough. Top marks!
