Crispin Cottage

A small but cozy cabin which is comfortable, warmed by our kerosene heater in the winter and with a small air conditioner for the heat waves of summer. The sunroom maintained by my sister is one of our guests favorite features. Our property is peaceful, with only my mother, sister and my sister's young grandson living in the two other dwellings on the three acre property. We offer complete privacy for those that prefer it; or for those that enjoy it, my mother loves visiting with our guests.

This place was great. My husband and I stayed here with our very active toddler and were grateful for a place free of hazards, two bedrooms, and a yard he loved to run around in. My son especially loved watching the helicopters arrive and land at Enloe. When our toilet clogged, we contacted John and it was resolved IMMEDIATELY. It is an older unit so just be prepared that it isn’t the cleanest. We didn’t care at all but some cobweb cleanup in corners, a deep clean of the tub, and some new paint would get this paint looking squeaky clean. There is some train noise and arriving helicopters at the hospital, but again that didn’t bother us. Location and well equipped house for our family made it one we would return to. The central heat and air are imperative when visiting Chico.

Hilmar is an incredible host. Definitely one of AIRBNB's top hosts! It was a pleasure to be hosted by him. We cannot come up wiht enough superlatives to describe our stay! The cottage and our stay there was incredible. It has a fully equipped kitchen with the best stove we've ever used. Our stay was incredibly quiet, comfortable and peaceful. The mornings were serenaded by a wide variety of birds and several deer resided in the outdoor space and fed in the mornings and evening outside the dining area window. We've started making plans for another visit here in the Fall. Definitely would highly recommend a stay here!

I literally couldn’t have asked for more. They were so responsive and helpful with anything we may need. I stayed here for a month for surgery and didn’t want to leave when the month was over. The tiny house was clean and exactly what I wanted and needed for my recovery. Close to everything I needed and wanted to get to. All the light and fresh air you can ask for. Recommendations for food and stores. Visits from their amazing dog!! I wouldn’t change a thing! What an amazing host, family, city, and tiny home. I will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at Caspar Cottage! The cottage is clean, comfortable and incredibly peaceful. We enjoyed using the grill and playing board games outside in the evening. The bath tub jets were a favorite perk for our 7 year old. Diane gave us local recommendations and also some great tips for the 2nd leg of our trip further north. She and Bob and gracious hosts and we will definitely be back.

Our stay in Bolinas was fantastic, and we couldn't recommend Francesca's casita more highly. What a peaceful, beautiful setting for exploring Bolinas and the surrounding area. The casita was the perfect size for a long weekend stay for two adults and a toddler, and the large yard and treehouse were a huge hit with the toddler. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked for its size with everything you could need to cook meals, which was very helpful given that dining options in Bolinas are pretty limited. We would definitely return!

In the area, we visited Point Reyes to whale watch and see elephant seals, took in the view of the Golden Gate Bridge at the overlook, and enjoyed sunsets over the Pacific.

We had a great staycation at Tadashi and Livi’s house in Graton. We visited from nearby in Marin with a young baby and a dog while having some work done on our house, and didn’t expect this to feel like a vacation - but it did! The house was perfect, even stocked with some essentials when we arrived. Great yard, walking distance to a few good restaurants and driving distance to several more. We appreciated their local tips and the love and care they clearly put in the house. We’ll be back!
