The place was great. Clean, peaceful, simple. Great getaway. Close to the chowan and roanoke river.

I cannot recommend this little gem enough. It was just the perfect little spot for our “newlyweds” after a busy day. Well appointed, extremely clean, comfortable and private. I’m already planning to book it for their anniversary a year from now. Absolutely perfect!

I was pleasantly surprised with Melody’s tiny cabin it looked exactly like the photos, better honestly, and even had a little loft (not pictured) that would be perfect for kids if you brought along an air mattress. We came to visit our daughter and go to the ECU football game. The hotels around were full and what was left were so expensive. This little cabin was worth the price and only a 30 minute drive from the college. My only suggestion would be to reach out before you arrive and ask them to turn on the air conditioner. It was hot in the cabin when we arrived late at night, but there were so many windows with screens that we were able to open and it cooled off fast from the cool night air! We would definitely like to stay again on our next visit to ECU if the cabin is available!
