Glass Treehouse overlooking waterfalls, boulders

MeaganRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
*100/10* This was our second time staying at The Glass Treehouse and it was just as fantastic the second time around as the first! It's so comfortable and cozy, luxurious amenities, secluded and romantic. You can tell that Ashley and Andy really put a lot of thought and care into the design and amenities for the guests. I highly recommend it to any couple looking to get away for some quality time together. We will definitely be back!

OPEN MT Luxe A-Frame w/ Dome, Hot Tub & Sauna

KellyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Kay's place was perfection. I took a mom and daughter trip to the A frame and it was even better in person. I loved the style of the house with the cozy and low key mountain theme decor. The house is nestled in a quiet spot amongst the trees and was so peaceful. We loved the hot tub, roasting marshmallows by the firepit and the cool dome outside. So many other touches like robes, towel warmers and everything you need. Made so many memories this trip! Close to downtown blowing rock where we went for pizza and ice cream the first night. Only 15 min to other spots like tweetie railroad, high gravity adventures where we did a kids course/zipline and Boone close by as well. We drove 20-25 min to sugar creek gem mine and the alpine rollercoaster a few doors down. So much to see close by but we will be back just to relax more at the house. Might be our new mountain home away from home now :) thanks Kay!

The home is beautifully furnished, cozy, and perfectly located with easy access to both Boone and Blowing Rock. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi and spending time on the spacious outdoor decks — perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The host thought of everything, and the property felt like a true home away from home. We can't wait to come back again!

Tranquil beautiful setting. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to a babbling Creek and enjoying the cool fresh Mountain Air. Don’t think - just book it! This was the epitome of a relaxing and peaceful stay. We ventured out a few times for meals or hikes, but we had everything we needed at the cabin. Plenty of books, movies, games, trails, and a cozy spot to relax around every corner. The sound of the water running in the creek was the most beautiful soundtrack to our babymoon!

Sunbear Cabin - Cycling/Hiking/Flyfishing

AmeliaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I booked this trip to escape from work and stress and this was the perfect away for me and my dogs. It was sizable to host our family of 6, plus two dogs. Host was a fantastic communicator and the view was absolutely spectacular. I would mention, make sure you grab groceries in blowing rock or major town. GPS said 45~ minutes from Blowing Rock and we figured we’d find a grocery store. That was not the case, so just plan better than we did! I appreciated the grills and balcony, my one dog loved the space. All furniture was very comfortable we all loved it. I would absolutely recommend! I hope to return in the fall for the leaves changing colors!

Theresa and David are wonderful hosts and stayed in communication during our travel snags and cancelled flights. This place takes you back in time. For me I enjoyed hearing the frogs at night. If you ever want to take the time to listen to nature, this is the place. Many memories from my childhood came back. LeeAnn was a great host. I even had the time to meet Penny. She loves ear scratches. I will definitely try to come back if I'm able to. Thank you again LeeAnn.

Adorable minimalist cabin in the woods. Very clean and well equipped will all the basic needs. No cooking implements, but Renée responded quickly to messages and allowed us to borrow a cast iron skillet so we could cook over the fire pit. The glass construction of the cabin is unique and fascinating - laying in bed and looking out and up at the trees and nature surrounding you - it’s primo luxury glamping!

Top of the Lump

The description for this cabin is on the mark. Clean, quite and comfortable with lots of wildlife. All three nights we saw lots of deer in the last 5 miles up the mountain to the cabin. We also saw wild turkey, racoons and a 5' long grass snake when we stopped to enjoy the river that runs up the side of the road. Really enjoyed sipping a beer on the front porch swing at night or enjoying a hot cup of coffee in the back sitting area overlooking the mountains edge. This is a perfect little get away.

The Ledges at Fall Creek

KimberlyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We came to Purlear for a wedding. The mountains alone are awesome. When we saw the cabin, we thought is was quaint and well taken care of. The cabin views were outstanding. My in-laws always love sitting on the porch. We couldn’t get them inside because it was so calming and peaceful. The cabin had everything you would need to be entertained for whatever weather. The only thing that was a negative was the air conditioner was upstairs and the downstairs didn’t get as cool as we would have liked. But our experience was awesome and our dogs had a good time as well. I would definitely rebook this cabin if ever in that area again.
