Loved this cleverly designed, cosy and calm haven situated right on the coast, on a quiet residential road. The sound of the waves has an incredibly relaxing effect and watching the sun rise over the sea from bed in the main bedroom is wonderful. Ruth was a great host, providing everything you could need for a cosy break away, including Netflix and a great selection of books.

Set in tranquil surroundings with stunning gardens, the cottage offers a real sense of escape from the outside world. The house is surprisingly spacious, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and lots of thoughtful little touches. There were teabags, milk, and even breakfast items waiting for us, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Helen, who looks after the cottage, clearly goes the extra mile to make the stay special. Her care and attention to detail really shine through. A lovely lady lives beside the cottage, separate from Helen, and she adds to the charm of the place with her friendly presence and the beautifully kept gardens. We where greeted by Beautiful Ann. She was warm welcoming and brought my little girls to visit with the families pet Ponies Blackie and patch. We saw the little caves too. House has a old world farmhouse. Beautifully kept in its glorly. There was complementary breakfast with all locally source food. Fresh bottled milk. The bedrooms where warm and lovely fresh cotton linen. Fluffy towels. Mattresses were of the highest quality. Garden was a beautiful cottage Garden. Spotless home. Ann and Emma 5 stars. We recently stayed at Mary’s. There was 9 of us, 3 kids and 6 adults and it was more than enough space for us all. It was well looked after and it had everything we needed, it was so cosy & also spotless. We live in Dublin so it was amazing having the out door space for the kids. Check in was a breeze and Mary was so friendly she gave us recommendations also. Would highly recommend it anyone which we have already done. Tramore isn’t too far away and we recommend getting the passage ferry, it was 10 euro single and 15 euro return. It was brilliant. I can’t fault a thing about Elrove, we will definitely be back.

Susan was wonderful. Met us on our late arrival with fresh scones and a fire burning in the fireplace. Gave us recommendations for nearby experiences and also let us settle in quickly. Checked in with us to see if we had needs and were great at communication. We had a lovely time at their beautiful property.

Loved staying here! I woke up every morning to watch the sunrise over the sea. You can see so many stars from the back porch! Siobhain was also so nice and responsive. I could not have asked for a better hostess.

Loved Susan and Eddies place. The location, facilities and view are amazing. Everything you could possibly need is in the house and perfect for small kids too. The location is a mere few steps from the beach, shop and local restaurants and pubs. 100% would recommend. Can’t wait to return in the future.

We had a great stay at Mount Congreve, Our accommodation was excellent, clean very, comfortable beds and the interior was beautiful. Mary our host was brilliant, she was very helpful and easy to communicate with when we needed help/ advice. We hope to return in the future again.

Thank you for a very comfortable stay and a wonderfully welcoming apartment, lacking nothing. The situation is very peaceful with a local public house which was open when we arrived but the village shop was closed. The only place to have a meal was at a hotel a few miles down the road. This was not a problem - just to flag for future reference.

Stayed here for a wedding in the Lyrath hotel which was perfect for us as it is very close by. Gorgeous cottage, very clean and had everything we needed. Marilyn was an excellent host would definitely recommend this place to anyone

Christine's warm and friendly welcome was exactly what we needed after a long day of travelling on trains, planes and difficulty with our hire car. She kept in wonderful touch with us and was such a friendly face at the end of a trying journey. Her lovely property was cosy and comfortable (we slept like babies). The choice of pillows was perfect, also the kitchen was well equipped and well stocked. The neighbourhood was quiet and safe. We will definitely stop at Christine's in Carlow again when we fly into Dublin as it is a convenient drive from the airport and a good launch point for destinations further south or west.

The house was just as described and is beautiful. The house is very guest friendly. Martina was there to meet us and provided needed info for our stay. The directions on the Airbnb site took us to the wrong place. Would definitely stay again.

Maria's place was absolutely perfect. She responded very quickly to any question or request we had, was extremely accommodating throughout our entire stay, and made us feel so welcome. the place itself is perfect - easy access in and out at your convenience, incredible views, and a short drive to town. 10/10 would come back and stay again.

We had a great stay and Carmel was a lovely host. She had great local recommendations and the scones she left us were a very welcome treat. It was quiet and peaceful and the bed was comfy. And of course we loved meeting the alpacas. Would highly recommend!

Incredibly quiet and peaceful. As the house is away from the road you don’t hear any traffic. 10 minute drive to Kilkenny city, 5 minutes to Bennettsbridge- I recommend to visit the café and pottery in the old mill - and 5 minutes from Lyrath House. Apartment spacious and spotlessly clean. Sharon is a great host!

We had a great stay. The location is beautiful and the accommodation has all of the facilities you could need. The host was fantastic and left lovely welcoming touches for our arrival and answered any questions quickly. We would highly recommend!

Everything was brilliant as described the surrounding areas were beautiful and a quaint pub and the cafe down by the river were very hospitable

This airbnb was beyond our expectations. From the drive in seeing all the beautiful manicured lawns to the home itself nestled on top of a beautiful hill overlooking the river and pastures. Alan welcomed us with a warm smile and answers to all of our questions. He was very responsive with communication which made the visit comfortable. The walking path along the river is a must, filled with beautiful scenery and wildlife. The Airbnb was stocked with breakfast items, snacks, and drinks such as coffee, tea, orange juice and milk. Everything you could need for relaxing calm getaway with a stunning view and immaculate grounds to walk. I can't recommend this place enough, we will be back next time!
