Bungalow vacation rentals in Western Bay of Plenty District

Staff were super friendly, house was big enough to fit all of us (10 adults, 6 children), the place itself is beautiful in the bush, heaps to do with the walks at the campground and water holes, also the walks up the road through the Kami’s was amazing. Only downfalls were pool closed pretty early and the fridge isn’t really that big enough to hold food for 16 people but we made it work. Other than that our stay was perfect.

This is such a great air bnb, it’s close to all the activities in Okere Falls - white water rafting, zip line, glow worms and a 2 minute walk to the Okere Falls cafe but far enough away from the main road that it is very quiet and peaceful. It’s really spacious with beautiful views out across the countryside. The shower has really good pressure and is nice and hot! There is a fully equipped kitchen too. The driveway is quite steep (as mentioned in the listing), so we parked our car on the street below. Denise is a lovely host, she made the whole process very easy and seamless. Great communication and instructions and check in and check out were very easy. Recommend staying here if you visit Okere Falls (and an easy drive into Rotorua).

Great location! The house was right on the water which was lovely. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was really well stocked with pots/pans etc which we found very helpful when cooking.

A great spot for a stay in beautiful Mt Maunganui… great beach access and a cool cafe over the road for a nice ce brunch/lunch option.

This place is just amazing. Surrounded by nature, it’s very cozy and relaxing. Jane is super nice and friendly, she always made us feel very welcome. We were also grateful for some fresh fruits and vegetables from her garden! If I come back around the area, I would love to stay there again!

Very nice space. maketu was a nice little coastal town with its own Pie company (we had their pies for dinner), Jen was quick to respond and nice. The view was excellent, and the neighborhood was quiet. We explored the mount Maunganui area one day and it was a nice drive from Jen’s place.

Lovely quirky kiwi bach! Great location. Easy (toddler friendly) walking distance to great coffee, beach and shops. Super family friendly. Clean and tidy. Full cooking facilities to make meals for the family or kids. As our 2yo said “I love this house”! Cup full, core memories created! Forever grateful.

Bridget was friendly and helpful. Details to find it were excellent, including letting me know about the major roadworks. Thanks for fresh oranges from the trees that were appreciated for my granddaughter’s team at the Aims games. The unit was cosy with heat pump and the bed was comfy and warm. Unfortunately neither of us could do anything about the rain.
