We loved our stay at Otter Rise, unfortunately for us it was just a very short visit. The views and peacefulness were so relaxing. The chocolate cake on arrival went down very well (two teenage boys soon demolished that!) and the bread, milk and marmalade were also very appreciated. Anne was a lovely host, pre-stay communication was brilliant and all of the local information in the book was very useful. The local pub for food was perfect. The accomadation is lovely, clean and homely with everything we needed, including games for evening entertainment. We would love to come again and stay for longer. Thank you Anne

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. The place is exactly as described, a very cosy little cottage with everything you need. Everywhere was clean and tidy apart from general dust you’d expected, with a lovely little basket of treats left for us on arrival. Check in was self done, flexible, and smooth, same with leaving. Lovely little village, a couple of local pubs within walking distance, lovely cafe just next door along with some very friendly ducks, chickens, lambs, goats and the occasional cat. Would absolutely stay here again and 100% recommend if you’re looking for a cosy and quiet get away. During our stay we explored Cheddar, Glastonbury and Frome, all within an hours drive and lots of lovely cafes and independent shops.

We had such a lovely stay at this charming little cottage in Spaxton. It's super cosy and thoughtfully decorated, making it feel like a real home away from home. The beds were incredibly comfortable – we all slept so well! The garden is absolutely beautiful and adds to the peaceful, private feel of the place. It’s a wonderful spot to relax with a cup of tea or enjoy the fresh country air. The cottage had everything we needed for a short stay – well-equipped and very welcoming. Highly recommended if you're looking for a quiet and restful break in Somerset!

What a gem of a place. Tranquil, lovely views from the bedroom, cosy cottage with a relaxing modern feel to it. Thankful that Chris/Freya could accommodate at the last minute, as we booked the night before quite late. We had a lovely surprise when we arrived, to find out a few lambs were resting in the small barn next to our garden patio with their mamas before they could be released into the field. It was such a highlight seeing the lambs jump around and stretch their legs as we sipped our coffees in the morning. Great location, approx 40min drive to Heddon Valley (we did a 24km run/hike from Heddon to Combe Martin, with a stop and looped back), and it's a 12min drive to Withypool if you want to do a big circular loop approx 12km to the Tarr Steps and back. You will have suggestions of places to visit in the welcome pack and a mal on the wall. The cottage comes with all the kitchen appliances you need. We also got to purchase some fresh eggs too, tasty! A perfect short weekend stay :)

We had such a wonderful stay at this absolutely gorgeous cottage! The garden was beautiful, and the whole place felt so cosy and welcoming—truly a home away from home. The beds were extra comfy, and everything we needed was right there. Rebecca was an amazing host—so lovely, helpful, and full of great recommendations on places to visit. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Cider Barn. It was peaceful with beautiful views and we were lucky that the weather was good so we were able to make use of the pretty garden at the back. The house had a well equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed and a good shower. It was lovely to meet Sandra who was very friendly and the homemade oat cookies were delicious and much appreciated as were the eggs and milk. We would love to come and stay again in the future.

Lyn and David are the most wonderful hosts! David build the home from the ground up and it is very beautiful! We loved how homely it felt, comfortable beds, views that are out of this world and a really peaceful place to be! We can’t thank you both enough for allowing us to share your slice of Mendip Hills beauty!! Lyn left some homemade scones which were to die for! We have to revisit as we didn’t explore all the amazing walks and Wells in more detail , and would not think twice to stay again. PS there is a beautiful little shepherds hut nearby with the same amazing views also built by David (Lyn said because he was bored!) Hopefully David remains bored, we look forward to his next amazing space/s. We highly recommend you visit!

My wife and I had the most peaceful, relaxing weekend. We stayed in the beautiful cabin on the lake, this cabin was amazing throughout. It had everything you needed, super comfortable, plenty of room. We were cosy with the log burner while watching all the wild life. Our dogs had the best time with us. We got to meet the donkeys, sheep, pigs, horses and the dogs! It was exactly the weekend we needed. Thank you to Andy and Sam who were so friendly and kind, we will be recommending friends to go and stay! We had the best time, thank you again.

We had a wonderful weekend at Claire’s farm! A terrific hut and hot tub, and beautiful surrounding area. Claire and her husband even took us around the farm to meet the animals and even feed some of the baby calves and sheep. Such a cool experience!

A peaceful oasis beautiful surroundings inside and out. Very clean and comfortable, very private not over looked only by the sheep in the next field. Would book again if in the area. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Beautiful setting and a beautifully built log cabin. Peaceful and tranquil. Well worth the money and we will return in the future. Visitors need to visit the anchor inn in seatown for lovely food and drinks

Helen and Paul’s place is the most beautiful and thoughtfully curated Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. This home truly goes above and beyond, every room is filled with beautiful, thoughtful touches that made our stay feel so special. From homemade sourdough bread waiting for us, to individual toiletries and everything you could possibly need already provided, it was clear how much care and love has gone into creating this space. The garden was absolutely stunning, with cozy, comfortable furniture perfect for relaxing. And the hot tub under the stars! Just magical. The entire stay felt like a peaceful retreat, and we left feeling completely recharged. Helen and Paul were the perfect hosts — incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Beautiful cabin, in stunning location, lovely gardens around the place, the wood fired hot tub is a winner too. The place is very well appointed and very clean throughout. Was also really lovely having the alpacas in the field next door and fun with the emus visiting every day!

Our stay at Clover Carriage was peaceful, fun and the view we had of the countryside was outstanding. Clara was responsive and gave clear instructions (with photos) on how to find the farm and the carriage. She also gave some great recommendations of the local area. The pool and sauna are fantastic, and the privacy we received in our personal garden was incredible. The accommodation itself is super clean has everything you need. We absolutely loved our stay and will certainly be back again in the future.

booked this stay for my girlfriends birthday and it did not disappoint! The hosts were wonderful and the house was beautiful! We had cows on our doorstep and even a friendly little pooch on site too! The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful, the house was stunning and they had everything covered even down to the little details like fresh lavender on the bed! It really was a delightful stay and we can’t wait to return! The location was perfect and peaceful , just what we like! Peace and quiet, nature all around and only 20mins away from the beach! If you’re looking for a lovely get away we would definitely recommend this one 🥰 and if you love cows like us then this stay is perfect for you ❤️ 🐮 thank you for helping make my girlfriends birthday very special

Debbie’s place is a little piece of paradise, the setting is stunning, the gardens are fantastic and the cottage is warm and cosy whilst also being spacious and really well laid out. We had everything we needed and immediately felt at home. The open plan kitchen into the cosy living room left us all feeling connected, utility space was really useful, conservatory with stunning views allowed us to dine together and relax during the day. Outside area is also stunning for meals on the patio and bbq’s and the hot tub was great to relax in on an evening looking at the stars in peace and tranquility.. there’s a slight walk up to the property across a field but once you’re in the cottage and its gardens it’s worth every step. Great for the dogs too. Loads to do in the area, our highlight was Lyme Regis beach.. many thanks to Debbie and everyone who made us feel so welcome. We would go back to Debbie’s place in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed our stay at the Bothy Cottage. It's located in a peaceful village where the majority of what you will hear is bird song. We appreciated the garden which gave the cottage a very secluded feeling. Everything was as described and we're glad we booked our stay in Dorset here. We especially appreciated all the detailed instructions, history of the cottage and the welcome note and bubbly waiting for us when we arrived. Would recommend!

A beautiful place to stay. Stunning beams in the bedroom, very well restored, spotless modern bathroom with infa red sauna and electric shower. Lots of wildlife can be heard at night. Fantastic wood burner with under floor heating downstairs. Easy walk to Exford. Great village shop with all you need and 2 pubs. We drove to Withypool and walked to Tarr Steps which was an 8 mile round trip but a great excursion in glorious late February sunshine. Lovely view from the garden at the pub at Tarr Steps and the food was good too. We love Exmoor as it is an unspoilt gem with so much peace and nature to surround yourself in. Everyone you meet is friendly which also helps. Photos of this place do not do it justice!

We had an amazing stay at Hollycroft Barn, from the moment we arrived Tracey was so helpful, showed us around and made us feel at home, she even baked us a beautiful welcome cake! The barn is absolutely stunning, and so homely, we didn’t want to leave, the grounds are amazing, Tracey even brought down the lambs so we could bottle feed them! Fantastic host and fantastic property, would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning!

A little slice of paradise! This unique farm stay was the perfect escape—peaceful, beautiful, and full of charm. We stayed in the little farmhouse, which was very well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable and cozy stay. The property itself is stunning, with a glamping setup and a fantastic tented bar area that would be perfect for weddings or events. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. Highly recommended!
