The Barndo is a true gem! If you like what you see on the listing you won't be disappointed. The kitchen is fully equipped and totally functional, the wood stove and sauna are both well maintained, the bedrooms are cozy and comfortable, and the bathroom, office space and living area are exactly what you need them to be. The space is clean, charming, nicely decorated and I appreciated the attention to detail and quality throughout. Cathy seems to have thought of everything, and has created an easy, peaceful space that makes for a perfectly comfortable stay. We're already planning our next trip!

We agree with all the other great reviews of this place. This is an “end of the road” kind of place. No amenities such as pizzas, bars and so on. Instead you get a profound sense of place once you're here. . People who come here aren’t just passing through they’re here to connect with nature and others. We were there during the off season and really enjoyed the peacefulness, canoeing to the waterfall, doing some fishing and sitting on the sunlit porch overlooking the bay. The hosts of this airbnb , Darrnel and Mike, give it character. They were very genuine and thoughtful in their desire to make sure everything was going well and to ensure that we were having a good time. We can't thank them enough for making our time there so memorable. A big thank you to both of you.

Beautiful property on a quiet lake. The dock was the perfect place for nighttime stargazing and daytime relaxation in the sun. The cottage itself is clean and spacious, with a well-stocked kitchen perfect for making homecooked meals. Bed was super comfy as well - it was almost a tad disappointing to come home to my own bed. Hosts were very kind and responsive. Had an amazing stay! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Little slice of paradise in the heart of the forest, easily accessible without a 4x4 car. Charm of the old with today's comforts!
