Places to stay in Wendover

Carina was a good host and always available without being intrusive. The property is well priced and cosy with all the amenities required for an extended stay with lots to do on the doorstep in the beautiful area as well easily accessible links to the motorways to travel further afield. We visited the place and used it as a base as a family of 5 and spent a lot of the time out of the property as we were visiting family in the area. The amenities were great and we were able to wash the kids clothes that were getting dirty from all the outdoor activities available on the doorstep, we did a fair bit of walking in the surrounding country trails and went to legoland which is close by, the local pub was within walking distance and served fantastic food at a great price. I have nothing negative to say about the accommodation and host and would welcome another visit here, if I was to add a constructive appraisal would perhaps look to update the soft furnishings for a enhanced experience.

Really lovely cabin, well looked after and very clean. Host was very helpful and pleasant. As others have written, the cabin is located near the house and not quite in the middle of the woods as expected, but hosts fully respected privacy and we only saw them on arrival. Toilet is a little cramped but otherwise everything was perfect. A really lovely stay

A great stay, lots of space and dog friendly. 5 minute walk to direct to Euston train, all amenities nearby.

Had a lovely 2 night stay, accommodation as described, clean and comfortable. Welcome pack (milk, butter, bread, porridge pots, fruit juice tea and coffee) much appreciated. Safe parking available. Good value for the money.

Keith & Bev were friendly & wonderful host. The bed was comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Love the little touches - sauces, cereal, bread and butter. The Nature Reserve was a short walk away - great for my dogs. Thank you again for hosting me & my furry boys.

Great location in a beautifully fitted out cabin. Perfect for a short 15mins walk to the Crawford Arms to watch some live music. Thanks very much Jack. We will definitely be visiting again.

We stayed at The Clockhouse whilst visiting Windsor Castle. We would not hesitate to stop there again. Beautiful place, very peaceful. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. Fantastic stay! Thank you, Sam x

Had the most amazing weekend, cabin was delightful and very cosy, Hot Tub was great. Great walks as practically on top of the Ridgeway. Really lovely stay. Very private. Extremely clean. Beautifully appointed and decorated. Super comfy bed. Attractive outside space and good views across fields, particularly enjoyed watching the beautiful horses in the field. Hot tub was everything we expected, no problems with detergent in swimwear! Thankyou Rebekah, don’t change a thing (except maybe adding a cafetière in addition to the Nespresso)

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Kingfisher Lodge, the lodge is absolutely beautiful set in such a stunning & peaceful setting. Gary was very friendly and gave us lots of recommendations of where to eat. Our little dog loved walking round the fishing lake. We would highly recommend staying at Kingfisher Lodge, we will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely evening and it was just what we needed. It was peaceful and relaxing. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The board games were a great touch and would definitely like to come back again and would definitely recommend to friends and family. Thank you both for your hospitality.

Hilly Hideaway is such a lovely place, very quaint and peaceful. I couldn't actually quite believe how well stocked up the wood was for the fire pit and hot tub as I have stayed in place before where they only give you a couple of logs and then have to buy more. Charlotte was lovely and very communicative and sent loads of very helpful things to do and places to eat in the area. I would definitely stay here again, we had a very nice birthday weekend away.

We loved it so much this was our second visit! Gorgeous cabin, feels really secluded when there, you wouldn’t know you were in Reading. Lots to keep you entertained without even leaving. Massive hot tub was such a treat too. No doubt will be back again.

The staying at Nora’s place was amazing! All place did looked as it was described. She welcome me with a complimentary breakfast which was special. Also the location is best close to public transport. She’s a brilliant host and I’ll highly recommend Nora’s place and would definitely stay again.
