The location of the apartment is an ideal starting point for cycling and hiking excursions. The most beautiful panoramic view of Bavaria on the Hohenpeißenberg (approx. 70 minutes walk, 10 minutes by car) Distance to the train station is approx. 15 minutes' walk, supermarkets about 5-10 minutes. Restaurants are about 1-3 km away. The numerous lakes can be reached in about 30 minutes by car. Munich, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Augsburg, Füssen (royal castles) are about 40-60 km away. Enjoy your stay in the foothills of the Alps.

A break in the mountains

Our apartment (in a 3-family house) in the basement, is located between Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in the middle of the “Pfaffenwinkel.“ The optimal starting point for numerous excursions to sights or also sporting activities such as hiking or cycling. Larger shopping facilities can be found in Weilheim, Peißenberg or Murnau. In addition, a natural swimming pond with a small Kneipp facility is about 1 km away and allows spontaneous refreshment at any time of the day

In about 10 to 20 minutes you can walk to the Bernried Nature Park and the lakeshore with numerous dreamy swimming coves. A private parking space is available on the property. For bicycles, there is storage space.

The house on the lake belongs to my wife and me. My son and his wife coordinate the rental for us (co-hosts). The lower apartment in the house is rented, the upper one we use occasionally. We look forward to welcoming you as guests in the upper apartment. The apartment is newly renovated, 100 sqm2 in size, offers plenty of space, light and a view over the lake and the mountains – great to unwind. The large window front with balcony offers a wonderful view of the surrounding meadows and the pilgrimage church Maria Aich. Peißenberg is an ideal base for exploring the sights in the Pfaffenwinkel and Fünf-Seenland. City tours to the state capital Munich are also easy to undertake due to the good train connection also easy to do.

Our vacation home is a spacious, light-flooded, detached architectural house with a large roof terrace and a purist garden on a hillside. The roof terrace offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Alps and the Zugspitze. Our house offers you a fully equipped open-space kitchen. For relaxation, an infrared steam cabin and a hot tub are available for free use. The house is climate-friendly with PV system, battery storage and air heat pump.
