Stopped by to scope out the area before planning our move, and loved every bit of our stay. The "Sandy Run Farm" was unspeakably peaceful: as a former chicken owner, it thrilled me to awaken to the "egg song," birds chirping, and other animal sounds I've dearly missed. The area was extremely private and serene; the camper itself had everything we needed, though I admit there was a bit of a learning curve for anyone who's never stayed in a camper before (where are the lights? How does the AC work? I have to use a lighter for the oven?? lol). Farm eggs were a lovely bonus, and Karen was happy to help with a few things like turning off the WiFi. It's also super kid-friendly, which is a rare treat, even though we didn't bring the kids. If I find myself in the area again prior to our move, I will absolutely look for this place again.

I recently PCS’d to the area and was tired of living out of hotels, so I was grateful to find John’s listing at Happy Acres. It made a great base camp for house hunting. I stayed in the Serenity unit, which was about 100 meters from the laundry facility and gym. The gym is old-school and well-equipped for a solid workout. The front desk was very responsive to any questions, and the neighbors were all friendly. If you’re a cat lover, you’ll appreciate the many resident cats, all well cared for and part of the community. John runs a tight ship—no nonsense, well-organized, and it shows. The community is quiet, and I felt safe throughout my stay. Definitely a great option if you need a temporary home in the area.

Noe was very responsive and quick to reply to every message. The place was quiet, clean, and exactly as described. Had a comfortable and pleasant stay — would definitely recommend!
