Waterfront Condo - Sunset View of Tampa Bay

PattiRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed at Chris’ place for a long weekend in January. His unit on the third floor has amazing views. The condo is quiet, clean, fully stocked (even extra towels!). The table and chairs are a great addition that we hadn’t seen in other units in the resort. Last year, we stayed in a DIFFERENT unit with a different owner, and that unit was dirty and the owner was extremely rude. As a result we were nervous to stay at the resort again. We are so glad we did! Highly recommend this unit and Chris!

Amazing water front view home newly renovated

DerekRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We rented this house so that family visiting from out of state could stay with my wife and I for our wedding. The house had more than enough space for us all, including sleeping arrangements. The view from the deck was amazing and set an incredible scene for a small reception we had with some friends. I would definitely rent here again.

WaterfrontClearwater Beach Unaffected by Hurricane

AmiRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I can’t say enough about Lina’s place. It felt like home the minute we arrived. We took a redeye from Washington State so I was so thankful to have a clean comfortable place to take a morning nap. The bed was comfortable, the linen clean, the sofa and pillows and decor was so lovely. Our entire experience with top-notch. I loved waking up to see the water right outside our window and having our morning coffee on the patio. It was so peaceful and comfortable. My 12-year-old son went straight to the pier to fish. He loved every single minute of it. We are deeply grateful and appreciative to Lina. Something to note: if you plan on cooking, bring/purchase your spices.

We had a the most magical family holiday reunion at Indian Rocks Beach! Between the golf cart, kayaks and fantastic kitchen this place had it all! There was even a Christmas boat parade that came right by the house. There was a small issue with the internet and the manager came over immediately to help out. 5 stars!!

SPARKLING HOT Modern Pool Home- Minutes to beach!

CharlesRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed in St. Petersburg recently for my sister's funeral, and we brought our 94-year-old mother with us. The space was perfect for her, offering a place where she could relax, and when the weather allowed, she enjoyed sitting out back. The property was exactly as advertised, and we only had a couple of minor cosmetic issues. However, the team addressed our concerns immediately, and we were really impressed with their prompt and thoughtful responses. They were not only professional but also empathetic and understanding of our situation, which made our stay even more comforting during such a difficult time. Charles

Stayed for a long weekend and had a great time! Dawn was communicative and gave us great food recs. The space was lovely and good for privacy but the only downside was that the cars on the nearby street were pretty loud and it was hard to sleep at night. The host provides earplugs though so that definitely helped! Overall had a nice stay and enjoyed the hot tub every night :)

Great place and location. The house was spotless clean with enough space for 6 people, full of all you need to have an excellent stay. The property is located in an excellent spot with a great view of Lake Tarpon where you can relax with your morning coffee or a glass of wine. The house very close to Dunedin - cutest little town with gorgeous beaches and also close to Tampa. All in all it’s well worth your time and your money, also important to mention dog friendly.

Tree House Treasure

LuRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our stay at Nancy’s place. It was a joy to be so near the water and watch the birds, two of which visited us daily for a little chat! We loved walking round the nearby park and along the boardwalk too. The bedroom and lounge furniture were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of bits and pieces like oil, salt, pepper and herbs which were really handy. In fact there were a lot of supplies that we were able to use if we’d needed to. Nancy was super responsive to a little technical hiccup which was a great help. It was an easy drive to The Sponge Factory and the great Greek restaurants down there. Also, Publix, Walmart and many other shops nearby too. Smashing stay- thank you Nancy.

MARGARITAVILLE ACROSS THE STREET FROM BEACH ACCESS

AlexisRating, 5 stars6 months ago
MARGARITAVILLE was a great stay! Very easy check-in process, friendly owners, lots of amenities including free use of beach chairs, coolers, carts, basically anything you’d need for a beach day. Easy access to the beach and so many restaurants and things to do in the area. This is an end unit so it felt very private with its own little tiki like patio. The bed was very soft and dipped oddly in the middle- we found it difficult to sleep in but it wasn’t horrible. The unit could use some cleaning touch-ups and mold removal in areas like the shower. Otherwise very clean- the sheets and towels smell amazing! One last thing- there is some type of bar behind the building that played music pretty late but it wasn’t too disturbing. It did not affect our stay- just a warning for those who are very sensitive to sounds at night. It would not deter us from booking again!

This little apartment was sparking clean and well stocked with everything I needed during my 2 week stay. I was very happy with the privacy and the covered carport where I pulled right up to the door. The washer and dryer were convenient . The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans , utensils and spices and coffee and creamer and sweetener. Had a blender and electric kettle for my smoothies and hot tea and other useful items..The outdoor fenced areas were nice as well. It was a peaceful and pleasant and the hosts very responsive to all my messages. The surrounding area has a wide variety of restaurants and activities. Beautiful neighborhood and surroundings. A great place for kids! There was a huge walk in closet with toys, stuffed animals, games and puzzles. Even an arcade style video game in the living room. The house had everything you need for babies and little kids. A toddler bed, infant bed, baby seats, swimmies, literally everything you need. We highly recommend this home for families. The hot tub was amazing to enjoy in the heart of winter. There were kayaks you can use on the river across the street. The location was unbeatable, super close to the zoo and Busch Gardens. Dallas was so helpful and responsive. We loved our stay and hope to return!

Your guide to Tampa

Introduction

Tampa blends the bustle of a commercial hub with the subtropical charms of a winter resort. The city is the Tampa Bay Area’s cultural center as well, with a buzzy restaurant scene, art museums, and theaters. As you’d expect, given the winter and spring tourism, activities for visitors with relaxation on the brain are plentiful. But Tampa is a locals’ town, too, as you’ll discover by meandering around the hip neighborhoods of Seminole and Hyde Park or joining the joggers on the 2.6-mile Riverwalk, which cuts through the heart of town. Many visitors spend at least one day beach-hopping on the Gulf Coast, migrating from Clearwater Beach to Indian Rocks Beach and Treasure Island.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Tampa

Although locals may sense more subtle shifts in the weather, there are two major seasons in Tampa: a hot, rainy summer and a perfectly pleasant fall, winter, and spring. From June to October, the temperatures peak in the 90s Fahrenheit during the day and cool to the 70s at night, which isn’t very cool at all. Thunderstorms are frequent, tropical storms regularly pass through the area, and the humidity skyrockets.

From November through May, the heat settles down into more comfortable ranges — 60s and 70s Fahrenheit — and the rains come infrequently. You’ll want to pack a light jacket for the evenings, and perhaps a few sweaters in case December and January see one of their occasional cold snaps, but there’s a reason many people book vacation rentals for the winter here.

Top things to do in Tampa

Ybor City

A historic Cuban American enclave that is now the center of LGBTQ+ life in Tampa, Ybor City blends the old and the new in colorful and charming ways. You can take a cigar tour to learn more about the neighborhood’s best-known industry, eat at least one of the Cuban sandwiches that may have originated here (Miami begs to differ, naturally), and explore the area’s abundant nightlife.

Clearwater Beach

Just 35 minutes west of Tampa, you’ll find a chain of slender barrier islands and some of the Gulf of Mexico’s most stunning beaches. Clearwater Beach offers the white sands and warm waters you’d hope for, along with restaurants, bars, and tourist services. Just north of Clearwater is the undeveloped Caladesi Island State Park, where you can steer a kayak through the mangroves or wander along nature trails.

Florida Museum of the Photographic Arts

One of the state’s cultural capitals, Tampa does not lack for great museums, including the Tampa Museum of Art and the Tampa Contemporary Art Museum. The Florida Museum of the Photographic Arts occupies two floors of the building known as the Cube, a work of art in and of itself. Its permanent collection and temporary exhibits shine a light on photographers of the last five decades, from the internationally known to up-and-coming local artists.
