Bungalow vacation rentals in Waikato River

An ideal location for a stay in Whangamata - equally close to the beach & the shops - about a 2 minute walk either way. Great having a fully contained sleepout for 1 couple including a separate bathroom lounge & kitchenette. We were a group of 7 & in particular loved the spaciousness & the gorgeous shower.

A well run, charming Airbnb with everything you need. It’s a stunning spot overlooking the harbour with beach access and only a 20min walk into town. Would recommend.

This is our second stay here and we loved it just as much as the first. Great location and love the kiwi bach style.

Absolutely STUNNING!! Oh my gosh, what a perfect, perfect place to stay for a weekend! We chose this spot because we were taking our kids to the mountain to the snow for the weekend, and wanted to be quite close to Mt Ruapehu - but we’re a bit sick of staying right in Taupo as we have stayed there hundreds of times. This bach was gorgeous. The second bedroom was in the same space as the bathroom, but kids are resilient and once ours was asleep we had no problem popping in and out of his space… The sleep out was fabulous for slightly older teens. Our cat-sized dog absolutely loved the place & even though there were rabbits around (sooooo cool to spot with the kids!) they disappeared when they knew we were around The 3 ducks (basically tame!) who clearly live there were a highlight & the kids named them all We were there at the end of winter & the back was so warm. Made a fire, had a wonderful me, watched the stars at night… cannot wait to return in summer Bachcare team-awesome too

Excellent house. Very large and spacious. Kitchen was well equipped. Spotless house only a few mins from town. Will definitely stay there again.

Nice place to stay in a quiet neighborhood, close to central city

We just finished our stay at the beautiful Kaitipu Cabin and honestly it was so hard to leave. The place is in the perfect location up in the hills but not too far from the beach and restaurants. The cabin has been so well thought out, provides everything you need and more. Christine is a wonderful host and made sure we were well set up and comfortable for our stay. The property is stunning and so well looked after, every detail made us feel right at home. Couldn't recommend this place enough, we will definitely be back!
