Waterfront vacation rentals in Waikato River

We had a wonderful weekend at Annie and Chris' apartment! The location is tucked away in the bush with a beautiful ocean view, where you can see surfers and hear waves crashing. It really feels like you're in the wilderness! Only a 10 min drive from the Raglan shops and restaurants, and local walks are only a few mins' drive away. Highly recommend this for a peaceful weekend. Fabulous hosts with fresh milk and delicious cookies on our arrival - thank you for having us!

Perfect Stay with Stunning Ocean Views We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The place was well maintained, clean and very comfortable. The highlight was the stunning ocean view - it was incredible to wake up to every morning. The location was also great, just a short distance from the town centre making it easy to explore and enjoy local shops and restaurants. The hosts were friendly and responsive, ensuring everything went smoothly. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway.

We had a great stay at Pam’s house in Taupo. The house was the perfect setup for our family of 4 with plenty of space to holiday in comfort. The house was very modern, clean and spacious - very comfortable beds and equipped with everything you need to holiday away from home. Location was great - easy to get to and from town with just a short car trip away. From the house you can also spend time eating outside in the garden or walking down the steps to the river - great for children. Thank you for the warm welcome and having us stay. A place we will happily book again.

We had such a wonderful time! This is truly a beautiful Airbnb in a stunning location. It had everything we could possibly need and Robyn made us feel right at home. Our son enjoyed all the toys, puzzles and wanted to go kayaking as soon as his eyes opened in the morning. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Alison's poolhouse! It was extremely clean and comfortable. Alison was a great host and was super responsive. We arrived after dark and ended up a bit lost one driveway over; Alison immediately drove down to find us and safely escorted us to her poolhouse. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend a stay at The Poolhouse at Blackburn.

Lovely place to stay. Within walking distance of Taupo shops and restaurants. Beautiful and peaceful outlook and very quiet. Beds were all comfortable and it had everything we needed for a long weekend. Jan & Greg were really responsive. Highly recommend to anyone coming to Taupo.

We were looking for a beach property to just wind down for a few days, and we certainly found it. The photos of Robert and Maranda's place on Airbnb say it all, but once you get there, its the 'sound' of the beach that sealed it for us. We simply dropped our bags and went for a walk on the beach. Greeted the next day with an amazing sunrise, right from the door !! Great set up and layout inside. Really comfortable. It just worked for us, and as silly as it sounds, the little night light in the bathroom is brilliant ! Everything local ( shops, cafes, restaurants) is all within easy reach. Robert & Maranda's place is in a great location, with the beach side town of Whangamata a short walk behind you, and that awesome beach & bay right in front of you. Lastly, Robert, cheers for the tip for a great meal out on a Wed night !

Absolutely beautiful place with a gorgeous view of the river. The house is one of those places that makes you feel instantly at home. Sally is an epic host, super responsive and kind.

Amazing location. didn't use our car for the entire stay moving between the hot pools, beach, playground and shops. Great place to stay for our family easter holiday. recommended.

Beautiful location. Great house for our two family home holiday. Stayed in April and the heating was lovely. The heated pool was a nice surprise. Plenty of private areas if you needed space. Having access to the walking track by the lake was fantastic. House is starting to need some love but still a very lovely stay.

This was the perfect place for us (4 sisters) treating our 90 yr old mum for her birthday. We rented both upstairs and downstairs so plenty of space and very easy for our mum to get around. The beachfront location was amazing. Gabrielle was very accommodating with a couple of requests we had and always prompt in replying. We would not hesitate to rent here again.

All I can say is WOW! Gorgeous location and walking distance to town. We were met at the place by Sugar "Sug", who walked us through the entire home AND gave us great ideas about eating, drinking and exercising. There was milk in the fridge and flowers on the table...it truly felt like home! Thanks to all, JT

Riley is an exceptional host. Her house is spacious with a gorgeous mix of character features and mod cons. Even lovelier than the photos. We had a wedding to attend at the‘School Camp” and it was a very short walk to the venue. The house backs onto a reserve and estuary with views to the open ocean . Absolutely stunning. The kitchen is well stocked for ease of cooking and the house has quality modern appliances. We wish we could have longer and used her outdoor amenities like the paddle boards and outdoor shower.

Outstanding house and location. The house has been renovated to a very high quality. The Location is so relaxing on the waterfront and close to surrounding areas to visit. Nicola was a great Host, great coms and very friendly, thanks for the small touches and extras (ice blocks for the kids)

The accommodation is 11/10 with a 6 star rating for everything one needs for an escape. Modern, minimalist really private in a bustling area. We loved our stay and will return again. Thanks to Denise. Excellent comms and a few personal touches.

Lovely peaceful apartment, with lovely views. We were visiting relative so didn’t spend too much time in the apartment as we were visiting family but it was perfectly kitted out, the kitchen had everything you would need to cook.

Denise was welcoming and a good communicator before and during our stay. The weather was against us but we enjoyed the comfortable, well positioned apartment.
