We live in the countryside with lots of greenery and fresh air and free spirit and are open to guests. The bake house, with traditional furnishings, wood-burning stove, sleeping loft and completely timeless comfort, is located separately on the property. Next to the residential building (40 m away) is the modern bathhouse for the exclusive use of our guests. In our house, we read a lot, philosophize, drink good wine and take care of the essentials in life, purely minimalist! Adventure instead of luxury.

The location is ideal for anyone who appreciates peace and quiet, nature, swimming lakes and natural surroundings. In nearby towns of Borken and Frielendorf (approx. 6 km), you will find all the major supermarkets and restaurants. Beautiful hiking trails invite you to slow down. We look forward to welcoming you!

The apartment is very quiet and is barrier-free, has bed linens and towels. Pets by arrangement. Just around the corner are Homberg (Efze) with the Hohenburg, the cathedral town of Fritzlar, the Edersee, the Singliser See, the Silbersee and many other beautiful lakes and nature reserves. The A49 and thus also Kassel can be reached quickly (about 20 minutes). We are right on site and are available for more tips and help. We look forward to seeing you!

The Mediterranean-style house "Bella Vista" is located on a sunny viewing platform above the lake, in the middle of idyllic nature, directly on the jungle path and offers a fantastic view far over the lake, the castle of Waldeck and the mountain ranges of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park. The apartment "TOSCANA" is the "crown jewel" of the three apartments located in the house, which is elegantly and nobly furnished.

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.

In the idyllic village Königshagen you will find our beautifully restored half-timbered farmhouse. The village is beautifully situated at 360 meters above sea level, right on the edge of the vast Habichtswald. Ideal for walking and tranquility.   The house is very luxurious: three saunas, two bathrooms, pool table and much more! There’s lots to do in the area. Especially around the Nationalpark Kellerwald-Edersee.

Vacation at Gut Sauerburg

Our manor with our animals: sheep, goats, ducks, chickens, cats and our dog Elli is only 5 km from the A7 / Malsfeld exit & yet in an absolutely secluded location in the middle of a nature reserve. You can use and explore our 20,000 m² lot. Not far from our farm you will find a unique vantage point. Here with us, the hare and fox say good night. There is also a trampoline/slide/sandbox/table tennis table …

In Kleinenglis there is a nostalgic wooden cabin overlooking the countryside, from where you can start your journey into nature. Various swimming lakes and nature reserves in the immediate vicinity provide relaxation BIKE RENTAL possible. For €8 per bike per day, you can cycle relaxed through the day.
