Martina and her mom are very kind and helpful people, the house is new and well maintained. Beautiful area for walks or bike rides. Unique is the connection with the city of Lucca as it is not well served by public transport so it is advisable to have your own means of transport.

This house is beautiful. It was quiet, peaceful, adjacent to a stream. We could walk a short distance to a wedding at a nearby villa. Restaurants nearby were really good. Our host was so helpful and patient to help us find our way there (in spite of our poor navigation skills). Douwe Jan went above and beyond ! We had a wonderful stay!!

Lovely place to stay for a week. Great location, only 30 mins for Pisa airport by car, and very close to other Tuscan cities like Lucca and Florence. Easily accessible to Cinque Terre. The house is clean and well equipped. We cooked every night and had a social time playing games around the table. Host is very responsive and provided excellent recommendations for the local area.

Our Jamaican family residing in London, Madrid, and USA, all gathered for a few days at Villa Michaela in Casa Una. It was a wonderful stay, and had we known what a lovely spot it was, we would have extended by a couple days to be with Vanessa, and less at our other destinations. We met some of Vanessa’s friends (a diverse lot) and hoping to visit one or two back in the UK. Casa Una held our family of eight with ease, and plenty space for 10+. The property is charming and appropriately decorated with a life time of collections and love. As Vanessa says, either you get it our you don’t 🙂. It’s a sleepy and quiet area, but with lots of restaurants and to do activities about ten minutes away in Lucca. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, Villa Michaela will surpass expectations.
