We wanted a peaceful and restful getaway, but still close enough to things to do, and this location was perfect! We took days visiting VA Beach, the Chrysler Museum, a drive to Cape Charles, Williamsburg and Jamestown. The Ocean Pier, Craft Burger and Chicks had great food. Time at the bungalow was great, I sat on the deck with my morning coffee watching the sunrise and took walks along the quiet beach. I just loved how quiet it was there, as if the beach was ours! Michael was a great host, and responded quickly to any questions we had. Loved being able to do laundry before leaving. I too will suggest a more comfortable couch would be a great add to the place, but if that's my only complaint, then trust me, it's a great place! Can't wait to come back!

The entire space was impeccably clean and thoughtfully maintained—everything felt fresh, welcoming, and well-cared for. Communication with the host was seamless from start to finish; responses were prompt, clear, and helpful, making check-in and our stay totally stress-free. The location couldn’t have been better. Situated in the heart of Wasena along the Roanoke River Greenway, it provided easy access to scenic morning bike rides and quick walks to neighborhood favorites like Wasena Taproom, Green Goat, and RND Coffee. We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and the convenience of a dedicated parking spot. This home strikes a perfect balance between peaceful retreat and easy access to Roanoke’s best spots. Highly recommend.

Clean, cozy and great location being just minutes from Downtown. The backyard was an outdoor oasis. We'll look to stay here anytime we come back.

I had a wonderful stay at Ann’s charming home in Charlottesville while attending a wedding. The house was perfect for our needs — cozy and homey. We especially appreciated the little touches, like the toiletries provided in case we forgot ours, and the fresh fruit Ann left for us — a very sweet gesture! Having access to laundry was a lifesaver during our trip, and the location was ideal — just a few minutes from UVA campus and nearby shops. The backyard was adorable and perfect for relaxing, having a beer, playing Scrabble, or enjoying lunch from a nearby shop. One highlight was how Ann went above and beyond when a package we had sent to the Airbnb got delayed and was delivered to the wrong address. Despite the shipping mishap, Ann kindly helped us by shipping the package back to the sender, truly saving the day! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thanks so much, Ann

Just spent Thanksgiving weekend at the Bugaboo. What a delightful house. I arrived late Wednesday night and quickly discovered there was no running water. With Thanksgiving being the next day, I assumed nothing could be done until Friday. However, much to my surprise, Rita and Elaine were right on it, knocking on the door early Thursday morning to let me know that water would be restored within hours. And it was! I was so impressed with the quick response and handling of the situation. Before checking out on Sunday, Elaine again visited and told me I didn’t have to rush to be out of the house at checkout time because no one was coming in that day. Again, pleasantly surprised and appreciative. The icing on the cake was that the host reimbursed me for one night’s stay because of the water situation even though I didn’t ask for it or expect it. I definitely plan to rent Bugaboo again. It’s clean, has nice furniture, a most comfortable bed, a great kitchen and a great location!

We stayed for over a month with the whole family and truly enjoyed our time here. The location is perfect — just a short distance from the C&O Canal Trail, which made it super convenient for daily walks and runs. On weekends, we loved exploring the many nearby breweries and vineyards — there’s no shortage of things to do in the area! What impressed us the most was the host’s communication. They were incredibly responsive, always replying within 10 minutes. That level of attentiveness made our stay smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend this place for both short and extended stays!

Just got home from a quick girls’ trip to the creeper trail for 2 nights. Pat’s place was exceptionally clean and well taken care of. The whole vibes of it reminded us of staying with our grandparents when we were little and we loved our morning coffee on the side porch! We’ve already rebooked to stay there next time! 10/10!!
